He really played the most amazing blues it's like an incredible escape to another time or place not leaving the room. been something to have seen him. I've followed Steve Earle as long as I remember seen him few x. and it wasn't until more late that I was able to hear Justin but he is so amazing. Watching these I appreciate. Thanks.

He was special. So full of light that his father's shadow couldn't be cast on him, Which is quite rare for someone who followed in his very successful father's foot steps...He cast a longer shadow tahn his father

A really wonderful performance, thanks for sharing this. I'm thankful I got to see Justin twice in Nashville around 2010 or so, and I always come back to his music and spend time with the videos like this on UA-cam. He had a presence and a talent that you rarely see...wish we had more from him, but I'll keep what we do have close.

His addiction made him a very uneven live performer, but this is the JTE all of us will remember forever. When he was good, he was fucking magic.

He’s just unbelievable. It’s amazing to watch someone doing clearly what they were born to do. I sure hope he’s at peace. Breaks my heart & makes it happy at the same time. He’s magic like that.

Happy to have had the chances... two chances, to have seen Justin Townes Earle's live show in Amsterdam, The Netherlands (2011 and 2019). Sad because he is gone and because his family has to miss him and his audience. He sure was one of the greatest. We have his music as a legacy. Rest In Peace and thank you for the great music Justin Townes Earle. ♥

Was it at the 'paradiso' by any chance? I lived there for 2 years back a few years ago...and managed to catch The Arctic Monkeys (,just after their 1st album hit) crazy show, great venue. That gig made me put put down my guitar and quit for a while! Lol x

@@brazenlilhussy5975 Yes, in 2011 at the Paradiso, Leidseplein and in 2019 Paradiso Noord, Tolhuistuin, a more recent department of the Paradiso in the northern part of Amsterdam. OK, I don't think I heard The Arctic Monkeys yet, have to check that out.

This is why I love music. God it must hurt. I lost my bride 6 years ago and my favorite music artist 9 months later. I seem to find sorrow wherever I go since that time. But i know why. For some music is the healing force of existence.

And that’s so hard to cure imo. I mean didn’t matter that the world thought Kurt Cobain was a good looking bloke as his self portraits were a stick insect looking like creature meaning that it’s so difficult to view oneself as others do when it’s like that.

      Good psycho analysis Dr Phil.
I actually differ in my opinion, his heart and soul pours out when he’s under duress. Yeah it’s uncomfortable watching someone be so viscerally bare…. But it’s also beautiful, and the pain and the awful times fuelled the music.
Shame he was so lonely in uncomfortable people filled conditions….. and shame he was left alone when uncomfortable people filled conditions weren’t even allowed. It wasn’t lockdown. It wasn’t his addiction, it was neglect…. From everything and everyone…. He didn’t commit suicide, he took the same crap everyone seems to be supplied with, laced like a tight little knot.
Not all untucked and shoes untied. Not like Yuma
