It was passable, and better than I can do... but sloppy nonetheless. Rabea played circles around him in the leads. Now, it I had to pick one of the guitarist I'd say pete, because his rhythm and accompaniment playing is just that much better than anyone else on an Andertons Video. I love lead playing, but to be honest, it only needs to be passable.

Man Bea is on fire! Yes Pete is good as always. I was, and still an, super impressed with Pete's playing. But from seeing Bea slowly make more appearances to playing on Dorje, to loosing all that weight, and getting healthy, and now Toska o listen to almost every day. This man just keeps pushing and moving up! Increasing his playing on all styles.
those guitar actually glow in the dark. really cool effects. i wish charvel would do this glow in the dark effect again.

Great, great playing in the opening jam guys. Reminds me of John Mayer playing that neon pink Dinky. The copper guitar with the JB and the 59 sounds great for the price.

I just love San Dimas. I have hardtail HS one they used to do few years back. And all it misses are tone pot truss rod adjustment like these have.
Bright neon yellow. That's awesome. I own Schecter Sun-Valley with Sustainiac pickup exactly with that colour. It is such an awesome colour to have and see.

i have a 2016 Pro Mod (No floyd, no pickuard, Maple board, 2 Duncan humbuckers) and it's my go-to guitar for eveyrthing

I've the pink one .. as cool as my best friends pink one in 1979. I had a black and rosewood 63' Strat at the time, and was in total envy of his pink Charvel. FMIC has brought back my childhood dream 😉
I have 2 of the previous generation,it that's the right wording to say of these guitars I love them to bits and the lads are right in what they say,so much more than a metal guitar.

Spot on guys. Have a San Dimas HH/HT- sweet to play and just soooo versatile. And yet to find a nicer neck.
Even when Pete shreds its tasty. This channel has some of the best players. Bea,Rob,Lee,Pete,Nathan,Aerial, Mic,etc.... So good!

Was thinking about getting one these soon, a san dimas version, and this video seals the deal. Was waiting to see the new ml3-bea but with no Floyd then no deal....
The other 3 are so far from anything that I'd ever want, but that orange one is excellent.

I bought one of these in white 2 weeks ago. This is the reason my PRS custom 24 now sits in its case. While the neck is strange to me the tones I get are the best I've ever had. So versatile from start tones through a Div 13 FTR37 to full on heavy chunk through a Friedman BE100. Hardtail all the way.

Very nice. I've got a Joe Duplantier San Dimas with the Telecaster neck, my favorite guitar in my out of control collection.
what are the outputs on those pickups do you know? Alnico or cereamic? Thanks
The guitar is equipped with two Duncan HB-103 Humbucker pickups (one set at the bridge and one at the neck) with a three way switch. They're definitely not ceramic, but I can't find any literature that states the exact alnico alloy that they use (alnico 5 or alnico 8). The guitar feels and sounds absolutely amazing with its ebony fretboard and light body. I believe Charvel is owned by FMIC and production is in Indonesia and Mexico, with the Charvel Custom built models made here in the U.S. - I'm not certain so I don't need anyone yelling at me :-)

No, I appreciate it because I want Joe's tele too in the future and the Charvel site doesn't site anything about the pickups but I'm trying to learn more about how they get their tone. American High Gain amp, OK, C-D tuning, OK, but what about the specs of their guitars? So, if they are indeed HB103s, then those are modeled after the Duncan Distortion which are Ceramic with a 16.6 output. wow.

The Mayer is strong with that intro jam.
I have a Style 2 (Tele Body) in black with a Maple Fretboard. '59/JB pickups w/ Series Parallel & split coil switching. I did a quick fret dress and it plays really well. The switching systems really get a wide variety of sounds. The compound radius fretboard has a great radius down low for chords and it flattens out as you go up the fretboard for clean wide bends without fretting out. The recessed Floyd works like buttah. Spend the extra $$$ and get a case.
Black with rose wood neck is awesome. And of course, the floyd rose.
I have 2 of the So Cals. I want more. By far the best bang for the buck out there.
I would definitely go for the orange one, it's has a beautiful dark metallic orange tone which contrasts nicely with the white Seymour Duncan humbuckers. And personally i prefer a hardtail too, not such a fan of floyd rose trems.

I played a pink Charvel back in the 90s at the start of my career. It was a killer guitar. Seriously considering one or more of these. The white hardtail with the maple fretboard would be my first choice.
I like the Orange. I just added a charvel San Dimas to my bucket list of guitars to get.

This is a really cool video. My Ibanez RG350 in Desert Sun yellow (the yellow the Jem 777s have) is a beautiful guitar that can play Jazz and Blues and 50s rock and roll and sixties rock n roll and 70s classic rock...... I looks a shredders guitar but it's so versatile!
Charvel San Dimas is no different.

The black with the maple fretboard is the best of those, however the metallic white with the black strike plate is the very best one

reminds me of my Mim Jackson Dinky Pro DK2M with locking tuners, compound radius, JB '59, 5 way superswitch, strap locks ;D. oh and the finish is called Trans-metallic black. excelent colour.

Ur first words totally summed that up,, do that Again , so cool and piece full ,, You 2 are the new Icemen and those guitars sound off the planet beautiful also the illuminate green one can be used as safety high Viz jacket at night walking home pist from a gig...Even Stevie wonder would see that in the dark. But I love them .. Proper funky colors and what a beautiful clean sound. I Going to buy one just on the strength of your opening
I like the orange, it turns red when you tilt it! Wish it was a maple board but its still sick! Either that or the green but with a hardtail xD

I play in a band called Blues and Soul Train with a 4 piece horn section.
That said, my Champagne Pink Charvel Model 5A and Ferrari Red Model 3 don't get much use in that band...

I think Fender can and is positioning Charvel as their Tele/Strats with Floyds line, and Jackson as super strats. I used to be perturbed about the lack of floyds in Fenders, now I want a Charvel instead :)

John Gustafsson in general a strat with humbuckers is a very versatile guitar if you can use a 5-way switch or push-pull pot to split the coils. My HSH strat has both and I can play literally anything on it.
In order of looks, Orange, Black Pearl, Chartreuse, then Pink - and I used to own an original 1987 pink RG-550.
Had the orange one for 1 week. The neck is a thing of beauty but sadly the guitar was a lemon, badly cut nut with the D string doing the sitar thing and ground loop with super loud hum coming from touching blade and screws for the pickup switch... so it went back.. but man, the neck was amazing, I was so sad to send it back, I was ready to change the nut myself but the ground loop was too much to take on a new guitar.
I have two SoCals a MIM 2016 and a US 2008 version. The MIM is in certain areas even better - not in the least the price. I do want a San Dimas neon pink as well.
I've just gone back to charvel. Got a So Cal. The quality is outstanding! ...and I paid less than £500. Unbelievable.

I love neon colors lol but I have a charvel pro San dimas in metallic deep purple , with a floyd rose and an ebony fretboard... I love it great guitar I put it up there with my American strat.
