the drum production on this album is a BEAST the low end on the bass, guitars and vocals totally slay! GROOVY! I missed out on the live broadcast while I was out getting the record!👌
Necrotic Nick- This album is flat out gross as it is brutal. I think they may have going a bit overboard with all the low end on the album. Those guitars chug well but anything that's not a chug tends to get hard to pick out. Still the songs are catchy as hell and I like the more straight forward attack on this one possibly more than Tortured Whole.
Necrotic Nick- I have some minor issues with this but overall it's a solid album. I think they might lay on the chug a bit too much at times but there's some really cool songwriting on this one that definitely shows they stepped up their game. I do have an issue with the guitars being tuned so low and distorted so much that the high end essentially washes out a lot of the higher register melodies. Overall though it's a sick album and a lot of fun to jam.
Didn't expect to like that one but my body just explodes when I put this on - this is so easy to get into that it should be the first DM album to enter the Billboard charts since forever
Necrotic Nick- I think they reigned in the weirdness a bit on this one compared to Tortured Whole and that more direct attack makes these songs pop a bit more. I honestly do think this is pretty damn catchy for how brutal it is. I'd actually recommend this to someone just getting into brutal death metal because it's a bit easier to digest.

Anyway, the drumming definitely got my attention at multiple points--some very unique work here. I was very into Tortured Whole, I think it was a really creative and innovative approach. But I think you can only do something like that once. They definitely went more toward the middle ground of "normal" BDM, whatever that means. I still love it.

As for getting a "brown brother" we're all longtime friends here and we don't really know anyone else that wants to do this stuff that we've been friends with for a long period of time. Since this is shot at my house I'd have to comfortable with having them over and adding someone simply because of their ethnicity feels really disingenuous since we started this as just longtime friends who love metal. Necrotic Nick- For me, this would be a bit lower for me in terms of Ballou's best production. It really didn't register as one of his works to be honest. I still think it's good but the overdone low end on the guitars really makes anything other than a chug sound a but muddy.
@@thrallsofmetal drums specifically. I do agree the guitar tone was not the best choice, especially coming from a guy his caliber. The production of the drums has definitely improved the last few years.
Vile and vicious death metal. With degenerate lyrics.
Necrotic Nick- Pretty much exactly what I wanted out of this one.
@@thrallsofmetal Exactly.
I loooove ur show!!! But it would b coool if u guys review some more brown metal bands,, “latino”, indigenous bands, or ven better yet get a brown brother metal head to join ur crew would really really B cool, so more of ur viewers AND GET MORE VIEWERS!!!can see n know more outtheres!!! Anyways thank u guys!!! A lil more color diversity in ur show….🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Necrotic Nick- We've covered a fair amount actually. We generally save full on reviews for the bigger releases but if you watch my collection updates I cover stuff from all over the world. I appreciate the advice though.
Their music is about as unintelligible as their name and logo.
Necrotic Nick- I think it's intelligible but it revels in being over the top in all facets. I dig it for that and just how brutal yet catchy it is.
It didnt take long for them to go from jokey schlock to tame & boring
The new memoriam came out today as well ...however wasent able to grab that as someone obsconded the last one aye 🤘😔😒
Necrotic Nick- We put the Review up for Memoriam today and that didn't disappoint in the least. Hunt this one, bro. It's savage a fuck.
