Necrotic Nick- No problem, guys! Thank you for sick album and reminding me how much Troma rules at the same time. I knew there was a reason Mortician felt appropriate. 🤘
Necrotic Nick- I think their caveman approach was pre- wheel invention because this is some knuckle dragging metal. The Adult Swim vides are definitely there but I love the fact that they worked with Troma for their videos.
Necrotic Nick- The snares grates on me but I like just about everything else honestly. I love the absurdity of it all. It's almost like their trolling the very subgenre they're in. lol
I've just discovered Undeath, Frozen Soul, 200 Stab Wounds and Sanguisugabogg. This a bloke who listened to a lot of Sludge like Crowbar, Acid Bath and Eyehategod. I love the similarities to those sub genres. Cheers blokes for getting me into these New Wave of Old School Death Metal. I love the Caveman songwriting 🤘🏾
@@thrallsofmetal you should give it a listen if you have time. The drummer has a lot more strings to his bow than you'd imagine. And he's a funny guy. AND... they delve into the drug thing, allegedly
Necrotic Nick- Same here. I've see a lot of hate for this band in general. I think they're serious about creating music but who say brutal death can't make of of how ridiculous it is?
It’s those dudes who think bdm regular lyrics are still offensive, and they don’t like how it is fun and funny. Then they get offended, much more than songs about raping women. Ironic, it is
You mentioned job for a cowboy .. when they first came out i liked them .. but i did not know they were popular! Then i read in a magazine that there were massive lines to see them!! 😂- i do remember liking the first album.. and i remember white chapel around that time.. i usually just stick to blackend deathgrind (or other combinations of those- and avoid core stuff but still give it a chance .. last year i learnt that there is good core but its underground.
Necrotic Nick- Yeah. I saw Job for a Cowboy at Sounds of the Underground one year and they killed. I didn't get why so many people hated them. I kinda feel that these guys get the same kinda beef as well.
I agree, I too am in the middle of this album.😒My turnoffs were the two tracks that’s just soundscapes only... what a waste!! But I will see this band live!!
Necrotic Nick- Yeah, I'm pretty much the same way about the interludes. Outside of that it's a pretty solid album. I think the live show will be super entertaining to say the least.
Necrotic Nick- That may be the perfect description for this. lol. I'm just waiting for someone to call it "Tromacore" or something terrible like that though.
Necrotic Nick- Thanks, man! Honestly, it's not a bad album at all. I really enjoyed a lot of it and I think it's getting a lot of hate for no real reason.
Necrotic Nick- I'm not sure but he has been jamming a lot more blackened material here lately so it may have had an impact if he did listen to any of it.
Haha. So actually, I had a recent thought- Since I'm often at work during the week and can't spend as much time on Thralls as I'd like to (for now at least), that maybe I could solicit our viewers to send me Spotify playlists? I can almost ALWAYS listen to music. Doing it as we speak.
They sound like a more ooga booga version of 7h. target sometimes, at least when the drummer really decides to go off for a minute. This album fuckin slaps tho
The lyrics are definitely disgusting. I agree with this rating- I wanted to love it but I don’t think it truly lived up to the crazy hype they managed to drum up. I think the insanity that is their sound wears thin over the course of a full length. But I do think they have the potential to put out amazing stuff in the future and will continue to follow them. Thanks again \m/
Necrotic Nick- Yeah, I read some not too long ago and they're hilariously repulsive. Musically they're pretty damn good though. As much as I hated that snare, the drum work is tight and those riffs are very creative. I'm curious what the future holds for them as well.
Maggot stomp is putting out some stuff that stands up with the florda OG titans. I never thought I'd see the day tech death wirh those stupid punk vocals died but it did.

Unsure about this one, I enjoy the groovy riffs, but the St Anger snare sound puts me off, plus I'm not crazy on the vocals either.. Interesting review again tho guys!
Necrotic Nick- Thanks, man! It may be a grower for some or just not some people's thing in general. It's a pretty abrasive and goofy album. I liked the vocals but that snare is annoying. I've never been a fan of pinging snares.
Necrotic Nick- The snare drove me nuts so I really had to tune it out just so I could appreciate everything else. I liked the mix better on the demo for sure.
Sadly I can't go back and listen to the ep after tortured whole, TH is just a massive upgrade in my eyes. While they still have those knuckle dragging riffs but they are more redefined now in my opinion. also the snare goes PING
