@@anggr4549 i have seen soooo many races that it appeared he had it won until it didnt. Ill will always wonder if he threw some of them away on purpose for the betterment of the sport, knowing he had the fastest ride lap after lap, race after race, year after year lol
Thats pure madness 😂i watched bloomer back in 93 at Cherokee speedway My buddys uncle was running SLM up umtil an few years ago he retired His name Is Ray Tucker he had 🏆 championships at 311 speedway in madison nc Now his son.daniel Races but they was beatin and bangin cars goin everywhere in this race lol
Went up to Madison when I was a kid and watched ed gibbons beat Freddy in an awesome race. Got to watch these guy plenty of times at Cherokee. So sad to see most of these big name guys have left us now.
How well I remember those great 311 days in the 80’s and early 90’s! Ray in that Leeroy Rumley machine was always a force to be reckoned with, and his brother was no slouch either! Heartbreaking to see what happened to 311, but I’m thankful that I was there when Bare, Cardwell, Hall, Fleming etc made every Saturday night memorable!
@@tomt9543 Awesome I'm glad to see somebody knew who I was talking about I was in the Garage with Rays Father and Red and Daniel Many times growing up why they got the car ready to go
that 2nd heat…phew. freddie, aukland, bloomer, gill, mason, bowersock, rod conley, chupp, erb jr.,schwartz. none of them in row 1. 3 advance. Man oooh man i love it so
Sweet driving by Pete Parker in that 5th heat! used to watch him race on my local tracks back in the mis seventies where he rarely had the fastest car but always finished high up if those behind him race clean like Mr. Pierce and Mr. Blackjack did
Billy Moyer got jobbed in b main. he was 3rd at the line after Bubby James spin. They put him back in 5th. then he spins🙄. at this point i STILL wouldnt bet against him lol
bloomer on hewitt and boggs on mars……rotten. totally unnecessary, both should have been penalized, especially bloomquist in a car going a second a lap faster than the field plowingbhewitt into wall for 2nd before 10 laps can be run.
I had the honor of meeting Freddie at the race shop after this big win. Nicest guy you would ever meet.
Absolutely!!!!! His nickname “ the southern gentleman “ was fitting!
Bloomer had it ! The heartbreak!

First time I ever seen Kevin Weaver was at Lakeville, Ohio.... good lord!.. he put a thumping on the local drivers.... about lapped the entire field.

This is awesome!!
Is it just me or is there anyone else who think these old cars look better than these current twisted up body cars
Way better.

Could definitely tell gill was in 2nd heat with the low gear caution laps
Oh snap! Spiderman started in row 6!!!
At 1:57 That was funny when the tracking messed up on that old 📼 vhs tape at the end of the video when scott wabdoing his interview from winner circle
That was one expensive tire
I was there. Earl put the money up for some big events then. had to sell alot of pizzaburgers
Pizza burgers? Ok, now my curiosity is up!
Worth going to the races for. Ground meat, Italian sausage mixed pattie, sauce and mozzarella
@@mustangjohhny damn!
c main looked like a feature at Hagerstown.
I was pullin for D.Moran and Freddie Smith and Bob pierce
Wouldn't have won.. if BLACK SUNSHINE hadn't had a tire go down
isnt that, and #21, the only thing that stopped him from winning pretty muchnevery race he entered for well over a decade?
this is 👍 awesome

CJ Rayburn was the man
I liked the 18 better than the 0
He always had the 18 somewhere on the car. The zero was a symbol of strength. He got psychological with his warfare.
