    Will always love Andy Reid and his family. I'm from Philly but I live in Atlanta and every fucking time my dad and I would watch the Eagles and were always wishing the best for Andy Reid and his sons. That's all I'll say on that cause he's such a good man. My favorite coach ever. You can tell the Kelces have high praise for Coach Reid.

    Say what you will but hiring Reid was a true turning point of the eagles franchise ever since then they have felt much more stable and have been on the winning side of things for the most part

      Laurie bought the team in around ‘96. Andy was responsible for a really strong team for over a decade which makes a huge help. But also, Laurie seems to be a vested owner interested in winning, that’s a large factor.

      Andy Reid put the emphasis on building through the offensive and defensive lines, which is the single most important factor in the Eagles' sustained success.

    • @birblife6611
      @birblife6611 Рік тому +6

      @@CatStevens-qd8il He had final say over all personnel matters. This includes contracts. Joe Banner was the pitbull who handled the cap. Let me give you an example that illustrates my point further. Prior to MLB Jeremiah Trotter departing for Washington, he stood in Reid’s office and screamed ‘You don’t think I’m worth it?’ He was talking about a big extension. Reid didn’t value the linebacker position, so the answer was ‘no.’ The Eagles proceeded to fill the position with cheaper, less effective options like Levon Kirkland and Mark Simoneau. Trotter eventually came back on a cheap deal.

    Andy will be the best coach ever when it's all said and done, he's taken 2 different franchise's to the super bowl and has 2 rings, and he will coach as long as mahomes plays at a high level, which seems like will be for quite awhile.

  • @thebipolarbear1

    One thing I think he could have done differently was get Donovan more weapons he had a season with t.o. and he went to the super bowl other than that he had desean a season but if they would have gotten more weapons throughout them years Andy could have two hands full of rings . It's all good tho we all loved the Andy Donovan era and wouldn't trade it for anything it lead us to today and today is awesome. Thank you for all the memories coach

If you leave all on the field in your heart they can live with that...

    It's clear if Reid hadn't left we likely would have been starting to stack Super Bowls eventually. It was just exceptionally hard during the Brady era. As good as Reid was, with Brady and the Pats absolutely dominating the league for 20 years it does make it hard. A great coach needs a great QB and McNabb just was not that. McNabb was good, but not great.

    Philly is a hard working blue collar town and they expect their sports teams to do the same. You may not be the best but if they see you are giving it your all, they will love and respect you. But if you alligator arm a pass and then say "for who, for what", you will never regain respect in Philly.

    It's too bad McNugget, for all the little crap he gets, didn't have real weapons at WR. Westbrook was awesome at RB, but Stinkson, FredEx, and Thrash as the WRs? Sheeeesh. Only until T.O. arrived did the WRs get respectability.
