I am a newly diagnosed MDR TB patient and i have lots of questions regarding this disease
1. How did i get infected? To my best knowledge, I haven’t had TB or TB medication prior, nor do i have any knowledge of myself exposed to patient with active MDR TB. Therefore i am very concerned and curious on how I get MDR TB directly
2. Between shorter and longer regimen MDR treatment, which is more effective. Because 2 years is a very long amount of time to take medicines every day
3. Can i switch to Shorter regimen from longer regimen if my body deems fit ?
4. Why does it take so long for one to take antibiotics to cure TB ? Would this amount of antibiotics already pose a threat to our lives and threaten us with side effects before they cure us of the Mycobacterium

Hi my husband went for a lung biopsy , abd he was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis, and also they picked up a trace of mdr tb, but he never had tb before or didn't have any symptoms , doc said it didn't show I the x ray,, a week later All tb results were clear, how is this possible, he is on mdr meds, which is extremely affecting him bad,
