This is superb. A really good account of the race that will hopefully help increase numbers next year. I've sent the video over to the organiser (Dave Waldron - the man with the megaphone) and we'll share it across our membership. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks again, you've really done a prestigious race justice. Robbie (Worcester AC)
Hey Donato! I love how you always bring the full experience in your vlogs! It's never just a race - you deliver the sites, local history and fun along the way! Great stuff my friend! Keep pushing!
Cheers Donato. What a beautiful part of the world. Would love to do this race. It looked a brilliant, fun but challenging event. Some fantastic footage from yourself which I'm sure everybody will have appreciated. Fair play for staying to the end to see the final runners finish. Love this type of event. I've taken part in West Yorkshire winter league and Yorkshire Vets races which are organised by various running clubs. Relatively short distances of 6 or 7 miles but rough, hilly, muddy terrain mean they're always tough but always a great atmosphere and good social occasion.
@@PoetWithPace Haha, I’m okay. Set a nice beatable time for next year 😉 Really enjoyed the atmosphere - the level of support was a surprise! This race certainly made me appreciate other flat routes!
@@PoetWithPace I have run this race 4 times now, 1998, 2019, 2020, 2022. Time 01:19:27s. 😃😉 This was my last one competively, ( im 60 next year), and found it v tough this year, (1 mile longer due to tree falls on the course, over the year, so re-planned.)
This looks like a kinder version of the Malvern Midsummer Marathon, although is anything kind on the legs when climbing those ‘mountains’ 😀 Cake at the end is always an incentive. Think you’ll be running the canal ring run in Dec again? Andy and I are 90% sure we’re entering again. A nice way to finish a year of events.
You should give this one a go next year Rachel as you love the hills! No Worcester ring run for me this year as too close to big race in December. Although i have found a Canal Ring Run here for 2024 you may be interested in?..... canalrace.org.uk/warwickshire-ring-canal-race/
@@PoetWithPace Staffordshire near Lichfield not a million miles away. Good luck with your next race .thanks for the inspiration just coming up to 65 now and touch wood still going 👍
I slipped on and sliced my leg open the last time I did this and dont like flying down those downhills but its good fun and if I was not injured would have done it

Great video, the guy coming in to finish at 30.46 made me laugh!
Thank you James. Glad it brought a smile to you!
Superb coverage & race description! Even got me crossing the finish line which is marvelous, as my wife dropped her phone!
😃👍. Thank you!

What a cool race! If I lived nearer would be one to do. That guy did well to get three wins in a row
Indeed it is a super cool race Kathy! You should make a long weekend trip over to Malverns for the race 🥳
