Hi, i don't think there is a big difference in preparation techniques based on type of materials, except for the depth orientation groove that we are making.... Make a less deeper groove for zirconia, by using a bur that is thinner.... And the rest of it is very similar to what is shown here.... I'll try to make a video on reduction requirements of each type of material 👍🏼👍🏼 thanks so much for watching and giving your comments 🙋🏻♂️✌🏼🙂
Gingival half is actually required to be parallel to the long axis of the tooth....! It won't create undercut.....! There can be undercut if incisal half is prepared parallel to the long axis and gingival half in a direction pointing labial to the long axis.....!
FOR LONGER TEETH TR-13 (L=9.2mm; Dia= 1.8mm) The diameter is the diameter at the base of the diamond coated area, at the tip the diameter will be lesser, approximately around 1mm.... Choose the burs according to the size and height of the tooth! For short posterior teeth TR 62C (L=7.2mm; Dia= 1.8mm) For long posterior teeth TR 13C (L=9.2mm; Dia= 1.9mm) C- refers to coarse diamond, green banded, cuts agrresively.... There is also TR13F - SAME SIZE AS TR13C BUT MORE FINE, CUTS LESSER..... TR-14 (L=9.3mm; Dia= 2.2mm) TR-15 (L=11.4mm; Dia= 2.2mm) These are larger burs, can be used for posterior teeth that are huge..... I CAN SEND PICTURES ON INSTAGRAM.... Sound quality low..but helpfull
Thank you for the feedback.... it's one of the first videos we made ✌🏼🥲
Will try and upload a new one when time permits! 👍🏼🫠
If we prepare gingival half parallel to tooth axis Will it make undercut during crown making?
Gingival half is actually required to be parallel to the long axis of the tooth....! It won't create undercut.....!
There can be undercut if incisal half is prepared parallel to the long axis and gingival half in a direction pointing labial to the long axis.....!
I believe it is not mentioned in the video, that the gingival half should not be parallel to the long axis.... Correct me if so ✌🏼✨
