    Also may want to consider a visual wave form view for the tracks so we can make sure the tracks are in synchronization. I could see just sticking the files in this player could lead to some being out of sync by even milliseconds, so the ability to to verify that visually could help a lot. Thanks, and excited to have this!

    Looks great and very clear. A handy option would be to delay the "play next" by a certain amount of seconds. This is something we use regularly with our current setup and would change depending on the set list. Is that something that's already featured?

      Thanks, I'll add this to our list of feature requests for consideration.

    very very great! My opinion is that is not visually very clear the routing of the tracks per output, which ones are active (selected/deselected or active/unactive). (I am a backer of the Kickstarter off course!)

      Thanks for the feedback. We'll be working on the software to gradually improve it, so hopefully we can make that clearer.

      +1 something I also noticed on my end
      But also easy to get used to...
      Maybe it would be nice to always show a list of tracks assigned for the each channel?
      Maybe even having just a horizontal list of tracks and then vertical 'on/off' (slide) buttons to send the track to the given outputs + volume control (per output - besides the on off slider).
      But again I don't care that much about this

      @ Yes it's a good idea, we are thinking about adding something similar. This is v1 of the software, to 'get the job done' for the various ways people plan to use the P-1, but we plan to iterate on it some more.

    How do I create a Midi clock file for syncing tempo of external gear with midi clock in capability such as drum machines?

    • @idorulive
      @idorulive  День тому

      This can be done by adding a midi file to the song with the correct tempo, and then switching on midi clock in the hardware settings. The P-1 will then output midi clock at the desired tempo.

    I've got one question. In track 2, for example, you have drums with stereo symbol (Stereo wave file). Does it play ins stereo? or it will play mono through the output 2? To play in stereo we have to link other channel? or is just to have more control?. Ty very much. Best regards

    • @idorulive
      @idorulive  2 місяці тому

      The outputs are mono, so if you route a stereo file to 1 output it will sum to mono, but if you pair 2 outputs then one will be left and one will be right. The headphones output is stereo.

    This looks a very useful product but I would need to know how it handles a midi file. So first example on my Kronos I can have a backing track consisting a few wav stems and midi parts combined.

    • @idorulive
      @idorulive  8 місяців тому

      You can add up to 6 wav files per song, which play all together. They can be routed to create different submixes for each output if desired. You can also load a midi file per song. The midi file can have 16 channels, so different instruments on each channel if needed. You would create the midi file in your own chosen sequencer, and then add it to a song using the Idoru software.

      @@idorulive Thanks for that, so just to clarify. Let’s say for example I have 3 GM midi tracks in a midi file (type 0), and 4 wav stems. The software will allow for all tracks to start in the correct place and the sound of the individual midi instruments will play and sound like they do in the sequencer.?

    • @idorulive
      @idorulive  8 місяців тому

      @@kevanbarrett7411 The P-1 does not have a sound generator for midi files, it plays the midi data and sends it to the midi output. So you would need to send that midi data to whatever you want to create the sounds. Alternatively you could bounce any midi instruments to audio, and play those sounds as wavs in the P-1.

    • @kevanbarrett7411
      @kevanbarrett7411 8 місяців тому

      @@idorulive Well thanks again. Yes recording the midi files to audio is an option, but at present we have quite a lot of midi files being used. So one last question then. From the idoru midi track, I take a cable from midi out to midi in on my sequencers and that maybe with a bit of tweaking at the sequencer end should do the trick?

    • @idorulive
      @idorulive  8 місяців тому

      Yes, if you send the midi from the P-1 to another device that is capable of taking a midi input and generating the sounds you want with it, then you should be able to get it working. @@kevanbarrett7411

    I very much like the option to queue next or stop for EACH individual song change. Thanks for building it in. I was worried that it will be a global option only.
    Is the setlist configuration human readable? (not just serialized data)
    I.e. that it's not necessary to use the UI to create a setlist?

    • @idorulive
      @idorulive  Рік тому +1

      Thanks. Yes the setlists and song configuration files that the software generates are human-readable, and can be opened and edited in basic text editors. We wanted to keep it possible to make emergency changes etc if needed, and even for people to create their own tools.

    • @idorulive
      @idorulive  Рік тому +2

      Yes one midi file per song, but it is type 0 or 1 midi files, which have 16 channels inside. Meaning you can control multiple pieces of gear with one file.

      Ok sorry.... i didn't know the différence between Type o and Type 1 , but for example "Live Ableton supports exporting MIDI files only in SMF0 format" , do you have any solution to transform SMFO to SMF1 ? for me midi file is a very important point, and for the moment this is not the clearest point on this machine. Thanks for your feedback

    • @idorulive
      @idorulive  Рік тому +2

      Unfortunately Ableton will only export each instrument as its own type 0 midi file, not multichannel midi. So you then need to merge those files into one midi file. Most other DAWs will allow you to do this, and also export as multichannel midi files. So you can import the Ableton midi files to another DAW and merge there. There are also some tools available to merge midi files. We will try to find some to recommend once we have a chance to test them.
