Mechanised Rings | Jewellery Making Tutorial | Goldsmith's Workshop Secrets

In this video we do our best to explain how Jaco made this hinged ring. He's been making mechanised rings for many years and when this job come through the workshop, we thought we'd share it with you.
It's a longer video than usual so we thought we'd look at the safety catch mechanism in Part Two.
This type of ring is a great solution for those who struggle with large knuckles, arthritis, people who have damaged their fingers, etc that can no longer wear their rings comfortably without them spinning around on the finger once they've made it over the knuckle.
This is one of many styles Jaco has made before and he has chosen this particular clipping style considering the catch he will be adding as well.
