- We all have regrets in life and some of those might involve RC cars ... Carl discusses his biggest regret of 2024 and what he intends to do about fixing it ...
In this video he also takes a look at the Schumacher Storm ST2. Carl is super excited about the relatively new Schumacher Storm ST2 which is a long way from where we started with our budget racing with the FTX Vantage and Ftx Comet. As you may know Carl is a massive fan of the short course trucks and has featured many on the channel... but now it is time to venture down the Stadium truck path and see where it leads .

I regret seeing my losi lasernut. Granted I totaled it but was still repairable, I just didn't know how.
My biggest regret? Giving my woman access to my bank account so i can’t give Tamiya all my money.Gentleman learn from my mistake pls.😢

I was roughly the same age or a little older when I sold my ’94 YZ-10. Even selling that thing has been a recurring regretful thought - and I normally never get those from stuff I’ve sold.
The cars I had in 2003 I wish I had them again.
Looking forward to seeing this getting built up.
If you get a chance to go to the new club in Northampton they race truck there and vintage, they've got a couple of meets in June and another in July.
I'll be taking my HPI Firestorm to race there as my first experience of racing.

I regretted not buying the Storm ST and a Cougar Laydown Stock Spec when they were available because I wanted to build a very light Stadium Truck combining the two. But… a couple of months ago I came across a very nice second hand Storm ST with all the aluminium upgrades installed. Ordered a carbon chassis and motor plate and now I have my dream truck anyway for a fraction of the original price. Put a vintage RC10T body on it and loving it!

Mine regret was letting my old cars go to the tip there was a cat 2000, hpi pro 3, and 3 or 4 tamiya touring cars gutted
I can't say I have any lasting regrets. The closest I can think of was more immediate. I'd been wanting to get a HPI 5b flux for a while, but for me they were hard to find. One did come up at an ok-ish price that looked a bit worn but ok. So I bought it, and when it got to me it initially seemed ok but once I started taking things off it to service/repair I quickly realised it was a full strip down job. So many things were wrong with it, and.....a really nice condition 5b Flux came up locally for about the same price, after looking for ages. So I bought that one.
I spent months searching up, buying and waiting for delivery of parts needed for the crap 5b. It was a ground up repair/rebuild that cost about as much as the initial purchase price, but I felt ok about it once I got it together and running and then gave it to my youngest son.
Lesson learned? I bloody hope so.

It's a shame that the RC bodies do not match the real Stadium Truck bodies. This one looks like some kids designed a moon/space truck with rocket launchers in the back.
The same goes for 'touring car' bodies ...
A race with bodies looking like the real cars ist a lot more appealing to the eye imho. Imagine an F150, Ram, S-10 or something similiar instead of these LCG ones ...
Nevertheless I'm looking forward to the build and race videos! Keep on your great work.

Easy decision, selling my Tamiya Avante2001, Tamiya Tyrrell 019 and Kyosho Sierra RS500 as a kid.
Biggest regret was purchasing the Element Enduro 1/24 scale....pathetic
My biggest regret was buying a T-Tech touring car back in the day. Swiftly got returned to the model shop after I couldn't get it to work well.
Trucks looks good, have 2 RC10T3 s but abit vintage to race.
Although it's nice to have mega neat wiring, I wouldn't worry about what people say, if it works then that's all that matters.
Binning a Mardave Cobra between house moves while I wasn’t interested in RC… it was a bit broken… but now I’ve bought another Cobra to have a play with and tune a bit. Might even run the new one at a vintage buggy event…
I also didn’t repair a Tamiya M03 Mini about 20 years ago, when it would have cost all of about £20 for the parts… did it earlier this year and spent a small fortune 😂
If I had repaired it I probably would have started racing it when I had the time to!
I have been running a t6.4 since the beginning of the year. It's a lot of fun. I find some things easier than 2wd buggy just from track presence and ease of seeing where the thing is pointed. I found I am more consistent with the stadium truck and some of my friends are as well. The 6.4 was a little tricky to get right but I went in on the buggy shocks up front and the hybrid in the rear. I don't think the Schumacher needs those but our track is Associated so very few Schumachers and X-Rays run there. No parts in stock for them in the pro shop
My biggest regret is 100% selling off some that I should definitely of kept ,
I raced 1/8 nitro truggy proper enjoyable and forgiving to drive
Biggest regret... Not investing in Bitcoin when it first came out... 😂 Jk biggest regret was putting a 6.5t in a tt02R and sending it into a parked car first run 😢.
My regret is not getting into racing until 38, but I didn't have the time or money to do so properly until now. Regaldless, I'm all in now. And I used the time waiting to raise up some future generations to join me now as I'm getting into it :)

My schumacher l1evo. Hated the thing. Spent a fortune on it only to ditch it for an xray.
Stadium truck is some of the most fun I had in 35 years of racing
you had my truck going round at the mkgp but then fluffed it on that jump before the straight!!!!
My regret is not getting back into the hobby many years sooner than I have.
Congrats on the new car Carl! I'm also getting a new stadium truck for my birthday in just over a week now. My only RC car regret is not getting into the hobby sooner. Enjoy the build dude :)

My first RC, a Robbe Fuego, every 5 min something broke.
Wich lead to the best, buying a tamiya super fighter, and ever since I'm hooked.
Atm I own a Tamiya M03 and TT01, Carten M210, Yokomo YD2E, Traxxas Slash and TRX4 and a HPI E-Savage.

My biggest regret was not starting rc racing earlier! Maybe if I started when I was younger I wouldn’t be so bad at it 😂. Love the look of the stadium trucks too, prefer them to the buggy’s.

@@PopalongRC I can only get to Telford this year because of regional dates and family stuff. You should definitely go to Sheffield, it’s on grass and they’re a great bunch of lads. Telford is a must too.

We do like their products but it is hard to say if it constitutes Fanboy status..
Carl has Atom3 LD3 and now Storm ST2, but then he also has over 10 Tamiya cars another 10 FTX cars a couple of Associated and then there is Kyosho TLR and LC racing cars that all feature on the channel. Mark has only got the one schumacher in his vast collection the Eclipse 4 which isn't even their latest incarnation.

Awesome stadium truck ,I'm running my zorro and team Associated rb10 rtr my new grass roots track Millend rcc track it's so much fun .i take my daughter Lily's age 7 she's running a ftx tracer for now to see if it's for her, and everyone loves her and embassies her there, which means the world to us ❤

Just buy some big wheels and a body for 1 of your buggies. Thats basically the only difference and if you see what they do on carpet racing everything is tightened down for lcg anyway so pretty much defeating the reason for stadium truck !
Schumacher is a nice kit to build and their quality is second to none !

In 2012 I fell on hard times and had to sell my collection of cars from 1980/2002.
Lots of cars that would bring tears if I told you what had to go.

my biggest regret was that i completely left the hobby for a couple of years at the beginning of the new millennium. that being said stadium trucks hold a special place in my heart too and i definitely have to get a proper kit in the foreseeable future. currently i only have an old traxxas rustler i made somewhat track worthy.

Well, I believe everything happens for a reason though it may not be clear at the time. But, if I had any regrets.. it would be not getting back into the hobby sooner! 😁
