Sorry about the math typo when I was explaining gauge... I wish I would have picked that up sooner!

Well done, Megha! 👏❤ I really appreciate the time and effort you took to create this very helpful, easy-to-comprehend video. You helped me understand the dilemma of a swatch gauge and a pattern gauge being different and the necessary steps needed to overcome this obstacle. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for taking time to provide this podcast on gauge mods. I took copious notes for future reference.
Thank you Megha. I really appreciated how clearly you explained all this sweater math stuff! I love your videos!!! Jane
Very helpful.... and wonderful to see the cats in the background!
Thanks for taking the time to tell us your approach to gauge! Very clear explanation! Loved seeing your fur babies, too
This is a great video Megha. Thanks for taking time to share your thought process. Treating patterns as “jumping off points” and understanding my own preferences has helped in my sweater journey and I love to discover more people with similar approach. ❤❤
You're so lovely. I love watching your podcasts. Thank you 🙏
Thank you for this video! You made the math much easier than I thought it would be. I love your kitties too! ❤
Thank you for this video and for your very comprehensive and easy to understand explanation of knitting gauge and substitutions. Finally it makes sense. I have so often decided not to knit a sweater that I really liked because I just couldn’t figure out how to change the gauge.
Thank you so much!
Appreciate your walkthrough through your planning process! It was clear and very informative.
Such an amazing, clear, helpful crash course on gauge!!! well done to you!!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this lesson. I finally understand what to do.
great topic -- knitting math scares the ---- out of me! so many thanks. saved this vid to watch over and over and perhaps it'll sink in. 😻
This was so very interesting and so very good! Thank you for sharing!
This presentation was excellent. Your slides really helped me get my head around less stitches per inch creating a larger garment if following pattern. It just wasn’t intuitive for me but your bar diagram made it visually understandable. Thank you!
Thank you so much. I was at this point in choosing a size and found your explanation excellent. It will be my go to method in the future. I enjoy and look forward to each podcast you make.
Thanks for a tremendous video! Although I have knit my whole life, there were times when there weren’t as many differences in yarn weights and fiber content. You have done a wonderful job with numbers, these are the things that keep me awake at night 😂 All that considered, knitting a sizeable enough swatch, both for size and fabric handling is so important! I will refer back to your video often , thank you so much!👍🏻🧶
Thank you so much ☺️
You are such a hoot. You always make me laugh.
🙌🙌🙌 Thank you!!! I’ve been choosing a larger size to be safe, and now with using my bust size + ease I get it!!! Sometimes it just takes someone (you) to explain and it makes sense. Thanks for taking the time to make this teaching video ❤
This was so helpful! I rarely get gauge. So this is so awesome and I will use this for future projects. Thank you for taking the time to make this video, Megha🥰
Thanks Megha, it’s a really interesting topic. You were very clear,in your explanation.
Thanks so much, I always get confused when I get more or less than the recommended gauge however your diagrams made it super easy to remember ❤
I like your approach and the preliminary fit considerations. A very helpful video.
Hi from Australia. Loved this video content and clear professional explanation/presentation. And it would be extra nice if we could also have some more cat videos please. 🐱
Hahahha got it! More cat content in all my videos ❤️❤️
Thank you! I tried explaining this to my knit group but I guess I needed a PowerPoint presentation! Love it.
Loved this video. Makes sense.
However I have never swatched, was taught to, and I probably never will. Both my grandma and mother knit amazing projects and never swatched either. They had much less yarn choice mind you. This video did make me think. Thanks for the insights.
Thank you for making this video. I'm saving it to watch again, lots to absorb.
Very well explained, dear Meghha! Helps a lot!! Thank you
Thank you so much for sharing this valuable information so clearly....

Great work. Thanks for the explanation. I’ve always wanted to use different yarns but wasn’t sure how. Now I know.
I really appreciate you doing this video! So much helpful information and thought process! Your explanations really made so much sense and I’m feeling more motivated to try using my swatch gauge in the future.
Thank you ☺️☺️
Thank you for this! Gauge math makes my brain hurt lol.
Anyway this was really helpful because I’ve been struggling to start my Corran because of the gauge. I think I’ve been trying to force my yarn to do what I want 😆
This was very informative and helpful. Thank you.
Awesome video and great instructions! Thanks!
Thanks for sharing! Great info and I'll be saving the video. 🧶🧶🧶
Makes complete sense to me. Thanks for covering this!

Thanks for sharing, I always have trouble with gauge.
Awesome job!! Thank you so much for all of this info. I'd never thought of it before but I really do agree that the yarn tells you what gauge it wants! Knitting and math mash-up is always 🙏 welcome! Have a great week!
This was VERY helpful! Thank you.

Thank you sooo much!
Math for the win!
Thank you! that was helpful!
This is so cool thanks so much Megha! I’m still learning and really appreciate this, especially your kitty co hosts ;) do you think you could do another video on adjusting yoke sizing please? Ive heard some use a smaller size on the yoke or adjust under arm etc. i love yokes but they seem to look funny on me
Thank you!! I will add that to my list!
This was really really helpful, Megha! I so appreciate you putting it together. -Erika
For a pattern I want to make, I want to change the gauge because I want the fabric to be more open and light to wear in fall and spring. I wanted an airy fabric with some space between stitches for this and the pattern is written for something much more dense and warm. This video was very helpful. I was thinking about the width, but wasn't thinking about the length. I feel more confident I will choose the right size.
I am so glad I was able to help!! Thank you so much for watching ☺️
Your clear and concise explanation has helped me as a European to understand the American sizes 1234....etc. Lovely job and very well done too. Miyca, what Kind of knitting needles are advisable for sweaters and shawls from your own personal experience.
I have many needle sets! I like to use circular needles. I have chiaogoo fixed needles that are my favorite! I also use bamboo/driftwood needles for slippery yarn! Thank you for watching my video!!
❤👋👍💐
This was so helpful, thank you!
