Wisconsin 2005

Wisconsin has coastlines on 2 Great Lakes (Michigan and Superior). We flew into Minneapolis Minnesota and drove to Wisconsin. We went to see Amnicon Falls State Park which is located on the Amnicon River and offers a series of delightful waterfalls and rapids. From there, we went to the Apostle Islands which are a group of 22 islands in Lake Superior, off the Bayfield Peninsula in northern Wisconsin. We went to Little Sand Bay and enjoyed a walk along the National Lakeshore. From there we went to Bayfield Wisconsin which has a population of only 487 reported in the 2010 census. It's a former commercial fishing community, but today it's a tourist and resort destination. We enjoyed a nice lunch there. We went on to the Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center which is a visitor center and natural history museum. We walked around and really enjoyed the beauty.
