Peter B Parker is the greatest spider-man simply because he manage to turn his life around. Miguel said being a Spider-Man is a sacrifice. But Peter B Parker is living it good despite him (presumably) change his entire canon event. Weren't it not for Miles, Peter B Parker would probably have a sad ending. Weren't it for Miles, he wouldn't be a dad.
My favorite thing about him is that he's by far the most competent, badass, and skilled spiderman out of every single spiderperson we ever meet while being old and out of shape
That scene also shows how battle-tested Peter B is, he pulled that of without much effort. Then he used it as a teaching moment which set up the character development to insinuate that he would be a good father. He is not afraid of mentoring Miles, I believe, this gives him more confidence. This confidence in being able to mentor Miles is probably what made him rethink about having a kid. It's good writing.
