Great vid as always! One small correction though: Weight is more important than ergo when taking in account ADS time (or arm stamina drain). This is usually pointless information, as you wouldn’t wanna build a gun without a stock. But in guns where recoil isn’t an issue, like bolt action snipers, going for the lightest stock (even though you might have a bit lower ADS speed) will increase significantly your ADS time! With lvl 15 endurance, A 3.4KG M700 will hold ADS for 33 seconds, while a 5.5KG will hold it for only 19. So, next time, when you’re building a bolty, consider a light stock, like the PDW one.
TYVM I am loving the in-game playing so much since the environments/world and combat is so satisfying and tense! But every time I try to go to the shops and tinker with my gear I feel like an old man lost in a walmart hahahaha This helped a lot it in the sense it was extremely digestible. I had a basic understanding of the markets and quests but showcasing attachments, the weapon workbench, ways to inspect things, and manage equipment filled in a lot of small (But surprisingly important) blanks! I still don't know too much but now I definitely have a good foundation to start building on so ty!
4:36 I wish there was an extra row here saying the current price of the attachment. I hate finding a build I like only for the build to be way too expensive at the end and have to start all over.
You shouldn't have to start over if you just go back and forth from the build screen to the purchase all screen, it will retain your build as long as you don't go all the way to the stash
@JonnyBooSock gotcha, I'd still like to not have to go back and worth, but I'll be sure to not exit the whole thing. Thanks for the video, always super helpful!
Numbers mean very little! 2 guns with the same stats and shooting the same rounds will behave differently, to see this use a SKS vs an AK or VPO and you'll find the SKS has a much higher vertical recoil on the first shot but then tighter groupings than the VPO and AK series. This also applies to stuff like the STM 9mm vs the Saiga or PP-19 where with equal or even better stats on the Saiga / PP-19 the STM will still out perform them. I believe the MDR and Scars have the same effect with better recoil vs other 5.56 guns such as the G36 which apparently has the worst recoil out of the 5.56 platform.
Hey man. Ty so much bro really helpful and easy to digest this information. I love u man bow i can do my guns instead of focusing on pvp kills to get thier guns xd
Great guide! What I struggle the most especially since I only have the traders on lvl1 is that it’s really hard to check which part I actually can buy to mod my weapon . I wish the modify preset function would highlight purchasable parts from non purchasable, or am I missing something?
It shows everything you have examined. It used to make more sense in the past because nothing was examined at the beginning of a wipe, and most gun parts you'd examine as you unlock them from traders. But now with almost everything examined at lvl1, you just kind of see everything and it makes it more confusing. You learn and memorize as you play more thougj
Nice info, the preset window is all i need but also, you mentioned linked search will link with compatible parts, but some times some parts will not be compatible because another is incompatible, i bought some dust covers that were incompatible with sights i have altho they linked search me to those
maaaan the fact my fps got worse in the last patches and went from like 55 to 45 average which makes the game unplayable makes me so sad. attempted almost ever fix but i guess my 4070k just cant handle tarkov anymore; unfortunate im not in a position to upgrade rn. dope video tho!
I'm right there with you, I'll be upgrading my PC this week as I got parts last weekend. At least I can justify it by acknowledging that video editing will be a bit smoother from the upgrade!
Do you have a video or know if there is a video for like top 5 handguards for certain guns or something like that, I dont need meta parts but I also want to try using something better than budget but its so annoying to try to look through a lot of the gun mods if there was a list of like top 5 stuff for certain things itll be easier to find good parts while not overpaying crazy amounts
Can you give a timestamp? For example, a red section of the gun in the modding screen means that part of the gun is a crucial component, aka it won't work unless a part is attached there.
I do not understand how to build weapons. I put together an upper receiver from parts I found and bought. Ar15 barrel, Daniel defense lower and upper he guards, silencer, for grip, gas system, laser, but it WILL NOT LET ME put anything else on it. I’m so confused. I can’t put a pistol grip on it, a stock, nothing. It’s like the whole bottom is missing. I don’t get it. Why won’t it let me add anything else ? How do I fix this ? Sorry. I’m still kinda new to the game. :-/
Do you have the base of the gun itself? You need to have the part that makes the bullet go. Ex. An m4 or adar is not build just off of the upper receiver, it needs to be placed on the base of the gun
Depends on the gun, but for most guns, a rail of some kind need to be attached to or part of the handguard. The tac device is then attached to the rail.
@@JonnyBooSock Thank you so much. Do you if any gun can be attached? I bought a flashlight for a couple of dollars from one of the traders, but I can't seem to figure how to attach it.
@@JonnyBooSock Thank you so much, this really helps. Do you know if I can use any flashlight? I bought one from the traders for a couple of dollars but I can't seem to figure out how to attach it.
Clear, concise and informative. Everthing you could want from a good tutorial. Thank you my friend, very helpful for a beginner like myself!
Glad I could be of assistance!
@@JonnyBooSock I'm sort of binge watching because I haven't played since last wipe and feel rusty 😅

Happy to help 🙂

Been waiting for another vid by you, underrated af
Thanks! Apologies that they don't come out quickly enough, I'm so picky with making these so they take longer than they should honestly
Thank you, my partner has been playing Tarkov and modding his guns. This helped me understand the game more :)
Awesome, thanks for watching 🙂

EXCELLENT content, and EXACTLY the level of information I'm looking to delve into providing. This is top-tier!

Thanks, very informative. Keep going!
this channel will grow quickly, great content !
I've just watched 5 videos explaining modding in Tarkov and this is the first one that makes sense lol.
Glad I could be of help!
Great video bud. Straight to the point and specific. Thank you
Great video for people learning the game!
nah wtf i didnt know the preset thing existed, thanks for getting me into weapon modding!
Good luck, hit me if you run into any questions 😀
Ergonomics make little difference to arm stamina drain, it's the weight of your gun that affects it the most.
really clear and informative. Thanks alot dude !!!

Sometimes you have to remove iron sights/rear sights to get a dust cover on the gun, if that's what you mean! Mainly for AK types
Yeah this was awesome

whats your pc specs? streets look damn smooth
Don't let it fool you, it isn't smooth 😄 it probably just looks that way in clips. I rock 30 - 40 fps with a 3080, 8700k, and 32gb Ram

MOA = minutes of angle, an angular measurement
Do tactical devices have to be turned on for the point fire buff to be present?
Yes they do!
Perfect
What does the red or blue greyed out portion mean? some have it and some don't
Can you give a timestamp? For example, a red section of the gun in the modding screen means that part of the gun is a crucial component, aka it won't work unless a part is attached there.
Do you have to waste your own ammo in the hideout shooting range?
It uses whatever mags and ammo you currently have equipped, but is replenished the second you leave the shooting range
good vid :)

building guns higher ergo number good higher recoil number bad. see easy jk lol
Dont care, as long as the weapon looks cool
this game is ridiculous
Don’t play it then if ur an impatient cod player
Don't be rude, not everyone will like tinkering with gun parts. @@Tannskii10
