    ** TIPS FOR WRAPPING THE PRNDL PANEL NEXT TO THE GEAR SHIFTER:
    For the gear shift indicator light holes next to the shifter, there is a piece of clear acrylic piece under the panel. The clear piece under the holes is hot melted onto the larger piece.
    What you need to do is slowly drill the top part of the two posts . Use a drill bit a bit larger than that hole. Drill just enough of the top of the posts until the piece will come out (don't drill through the entire piece). There are no glue or adhesive between the two pieces.
    Once that is out, to wrap into the hole, use a heat gun to heat the material & stretch it. Push the material into the hole with something like the cap of a pen that will fit into the hole. Do that several times until it stretches and conforms a bit. Now you need to make multiple small relief cuts in the middle of the hole. Heat it one more time, and use your pinky finger to get it to stick into the hole, and wrap the small little corners of the relief cut underneath. Do that for each hole. If you concerned it might lift later, you can put a bit of crazy glue underneath on the edges.
    For the clear plate, place the piece back on, and use some clear 2 part epoxy and fill the top part of the hole underneath. Most epoxy will dry to handle in 20-30min.

      CarPro Installs the only problem I see is the direction of the carbon fiber from the dash stack to the console.

      Yup, center stack is from right to left and console is from left to right. You did make the corners and openings look easy...thats where I struggle.

    Good job and great video ! I did not mind the length and appreciate the detail you put in as i might try this in the summer when things warm up a bit on an older Honda ! Again thanks for the extra details that most other videos leave out !

    I am never surprised at what you will tackle next. This is one very cool upgrade, and appears even a novice (taking care and being smart) could do to "rehabilate" their vehicle, for not much $$. 👍👍👍👍

    Yeah but How do you do the small holes? You jumped over that part 🙈

  • @me007gold2

    How much material did you need for the entire interior? Did you need both 4x1 and 2x6?

    • @dial2fast
      @dial2fast  4 роки тому

      I used (1) 4' x 1' and no extra material is left after I finished. Which means no mistake. You can buy more just in case.

    Excellent work, about what temperature should the heat gun be set?

    • @dial2fast
      @dial2fast  6 років тому

      I am not sure exactly the temp but doesn't take a lot of heat to soften the material. On my heat gun, it's set to 7 out of 10 scale.

  • @TalonPro
    @TalonPro 5 років тому

    I dont believe you mentioned the importance of making sure the grain goes the same way on each piece. I made the mistake on my center console of not paying attention and one part went 90 degrees to the rest of the pieces in the car. On your center console, it doesnt match the radio and HVAC controls.

    • @me007gold2
      @me007gold2 4 роки тому

      That's due to the width of the material. I ran into the same issue.

    Did you get air bags warning light on dashboard after disconnecting wires from pass airbag light?

    • @dial2fast
      @dial2fast  Рік тому +1

      If you disconnect the airbag light, don't turn on the ignition or else you will get the warning light.
