There is a product called Ventapack that is a spacer attachment for backpacks with poor ventilation. It would be interesting to get your impression on how well it works.
Connecting to a larger backpack is a really neat feature. It looks okay for light loads. It's not a backpack I need, but good video review for show and tell of its features.
Great video. I love that 5.11 got away from the yoke system on the shoulder pads. As a 6'5, 300 lb guy I need as much shoulder strap length as I can get.
My Tasmanien Tiger 16L bagpack has this mesh padding which is fantastically comfortable and allows sweat to evaporate better. 5.11 should have included this here too. I can't imagine a backpack without mesh since I owned one.
Great overview Aaron. I like the color and the blend between velcro and molle. This is a home run for the budget minded. These also go on sale a lot throughout the year.

G'day Aaron, for the most part I dig 5.11 products, though I find this one quite confusing. If the intent is to get on a plane, perhaps train or ship and have something to use at the other end for an EDC or day hike job, I'm not sure a "tac" looking design is the way to go. If on the other hand, you'll be doing overnighters and such on the trail at the other end, I'd go to the trouble of taking something specifically designed for the purpose. Cheers Duke.
Great video as usual. I wonder why pack manufacturers don't do mesh back panel on their products? It's obvious that it's going to be a hot spot literally.
@@warlantactical I know they have esp. their Rush series (no mesh on my favourite AMP though). All I said that (almost all) backpacks should have mesh back but somehow manufacturers don't do it which seems pretty strange to me. By the way, great channel of yours. Subbed too.
