Susanna Hoffs has one of the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. I love how she sounds in Eternal Flame and the harmony the girls bring. But you got to love those beautiful Eyes and how Memorizing they are, when she sings...

She has has this shy almost unsure look that just makes her adorable. I was a Sr. in HS when this was made. I think she is a couple years older than me, but the way her voice drops on certain notes just makes her MORE adorable. Not too many singers can pull that off.
Great job from the other 3 Bangles, they harmonize so well and their backing vocals sound strong, not like the muted production in the studio version where you could barely hear them. Debbi looks amazing, I think the bold makeup, platinum hair, and crimped strands was the best look for her.

Her eyes are almost always looking in a different direction then her nose is pointed. This makes her look "vulnerable" and almost shy, and matched with that angelic voice and overall good looks,,,,the whole effect is very sensual. Watch any performance by the Bangles and you will see her do this,,,,I dont know if it is on purpose, because I've seen her do interviews and even though she looks pretty confident, she always seemed a bit overwhelmed by the attention.

Yes, the harmonies are underrated. I just listened to a performance of this song without them, just Susanna, and it is nowhere near as powerful.
