I have several dozen R11e-LoRa9 cards out in the field and they're great. Any update on Basic Station software support in RouterOS? The legacy forwarder leaves much to be desired and limits our choice of LoRaWAN back-ends. Thanks!
When will be the devices featuring the 2.4 GHz version of LoRa will be released? Some countries like the Philippines have the LoRa frequencies (LR8 and LR9) need licensing, or used in cellular communication.
This is awesome. Good job MikroTik. I have not tried RS485/Modbus yet, but this is great idea for my industrial IoT purposes. Do you have plans to make something like this for less expensive routers (something like mPCIe card with isolated RS485 and support in Mikrotik software would be AWESOME!).
@@mikrotik My distributors in Austria are telling me about the last 12 month that they can't get Knot with LoRa?! So what is going wrong with them? (Allnet and Triotronik)
i opened a ticket from mikrotik support with this question and unfortunately the answer is negative. That means it's not possible that LoRa messages can not be send to MQTT server with a Mikrotik knot lr8 Gateway.
@@mikrotik you guys limit yourself for no reason. Home automation can also have dozens of sensors of different type. And i don't see CANbus in this device too. Far from swiss knife guys. You can do better!
Editor please stop bosting Bass to this ludicrous levels. „Boomy“ is not cool anymore in 2022. Now 2 questions: a) is it a single channel or full gateway? b) can it join the thing network? Maybe you could send one to the UA-cam channel Andreas Spiess for review, he is a LoRa expert. BTW general awesome devices, like Mikrotik
Nice, thanks. Setting up one in our University soon. Just a question: is the wAP LR8 kit already equipped with R11e-LR8 or do I need to purchase both?

Loving this..! but i've been waiting since the release to find it here in stock (MX)

It would be cool if you could run the cards as a node too. As a way to transfer for instance GPS coordinates or short status messages.
I really love MT devices but can we get a taste of ETA for Knot LoRa at our distributors like ALLNET?
It's available for a while. It's not a new product.

what about lora 433? any plans fort hat?
Please we need to couple this Gateway with AWS
Is it possible to write a script to take LoRa messages and send them to an MQTT Broker?

To be honest, never heard of LoRaWAN. Is this some kind of "private WAN"? Can my Phone connect via LoRaWAN to my home-network (like a VPN)?
You can’t. Lora is a special standard for industrial use and requires special hardware devices.
Supppperrrrrr!!
Idk why knot does not supports zigbee and z-wave
Well because it's not for that purpose.
@@mikrotik since when zigbee sensors are not a sensors? what a nonsence.
This product is for industrial use, zigbee ir for home use

Audio is not edited at all, actually. Everything ok with EQ in your computer?
