I was involved in a car accident when I was rear-ended by unregistered immigrant who gave me a fake insurance card. He said that he had defective brakes. When I found out that the insurance card was a fake one, the Illinois police would not give me his address and perhaps there is a reason for that. WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, the House Committee on Homeland Security released its latest “Startling Stats” factsheet outlining U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) September and Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 border encounter data. In the final month of FY2023, CBP recorded 269,735 encounters at the Southwest border, marking another unprecedented milestone under Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and President Joe Biden’s open-borders policies. This monthly number also represents an 86% increase from June 2023, when the Biden administration celebrated a short-lived drop in illegal crossings following the end of Title 42.
The annual numbers proved just as catastrophic. In FY23, CBP recorded more than 2.4 million encounters at the Southwest border and more than 3.2 million encounters nationwide. Just this fiscal year, 169 individuals on the terrorist watchlist were apprehended attempting to enter the country illegally, and at least 1.7 million known gotaways have evaded apprehension since FY2021. Americans did not need more proof that Biden and Mayorkas’ post-Title 42 strategy had failed, but unfortunately, that’s exactly what we have gotten.
As this disaster spirals further out of control, the Biden administration does not know how many dangerous illegal aliens are entering the country undetected, especially as Border Patrol agents are being pulled off the front lines to help process and release the historic number of illegal aliens flooding the border. While monthly apprehensions and encounters continue to increase, Mayorkas simply continues to double down on his mass-parole programs, incentivizing and facilitating the entry of otherwise inadmissible aliens into the United States at a scale never before seen.
Key Facts:
Encounters at the Southwest border (SWB) in FY2023 increased over 40% since FY2021, 4% compared to FY2022, and more than 100% compared to FY2019.
Last month, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reported a 40% increase compared to September 2021 and 18% compared to September 2022.
Since President Biden took office, there have been 7.5 million encounters nationwide and 6.2 million encounters at the Southwest border, in addition to 1.7 million known gotaways.
In FY2023, 169 individuals whose names appear on the terrorist watchlist were stopped trying to cross the U.S.-Mexico border between ports of entry. 18 were apprehended in September alone.
So far in FY2023, CBP has arrested 35,433 aliens with criminal convictions or outstanding warrants nationwide, including 598 known gang members, 178 of those being MS-13 members.
In FY2023, CBP, including Air and Marine Operations, has seized 27,293 pounds of fentanyl, coming across the Southwest border-enough to kill more than 6 billion people.

On February 28, in another brazen move to prioritize illegal aliens over hardworking Americans, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced it will begin awarding $350 million of taxpayer money to “help local communities around the country better manage the costs of noncitizen arrivals in their communities.” The award is for illegal aliens “provisionally released from DHS custody pending the outcome of their immigration court proceedings.” It’s the first allocation from a new $800 million slush fund for illegal aliens created by the $1.7 trillion Fiscal Year 2023 omnibus spending bill, which President Biden signed December 29 while vacationing at taxpayer expense in the Virgin Islands. Per guidance cited in the department’s press release, the latest grant may fund month-long hotel stays and plane tickets up to $700 per illegal alien, among other things. This comes as everyday Americans suffer from record inflation, crime, and deadly fentanyl poisoning their communities as a result of these financial incentives for mass illegal migration.
The $350 million grant supports the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP), which is overseen by a National Board chaired by a representative of DHS’ Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The other six board members represent woke open-borders charities and religious organizations, including Catholic Charities USA, which has drawn Congressional scrutiny for allegedly “violating federal law and regulation, placing migrants and American communities at risk, and subjecting local communities to unreasonable burdens” by “facilitating the movement of illegal immigrants across our border.”
Localities and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) can apply for reimbursement - or, in some cases, advance funding - for a variety of activities to “support” illegal aliens. In addition to the aforementioned hotel stays and plane tickets, taxpayer money may go towards “legal aid” to help aliens get around our immigration laws, “translation services” so aliens don’t have to even bother learning the language of the country they’ve illegally invaded, “mental health” (a vague term that could encompass a wide range of expenses), up to $5,000 of reimbursement for big-ticket purchases like cars or A/C units, and/or payroll expenses for staff - including overtime.

1. **America First Policy**: We urge the government to prioritize the interests of the American people in all its policies and decisions, placing the welfare of our nation above external interests.
2. **Border Security**: We call for the implementation of strong measures to secure our borders, ensuring the safety and sovereignty of our nation.
3. **Fair Immigration Policies**: While affirming the importance of legal immigration, we call for fair and just immigration policies that respect the rule of law and uphold the dignity of immigrants.
4. **Responsible Use of Taxpayer Funds**: We demand an end to the use of taxpayer money to fund any other country wars and conflicts overseas. I am driving to work with my gas light on and only 18 miles worth of gas in my tank, not knowing who i can borrow money from , to put gas in my car. So i can go to work and not make emough to pay my bills. Much less food. 3 years ago , i could afford all my bills , with a little left over. WHAT HAPPENED ?

I lived in San Diego in the 1980's. They had a border wall even back then. I also recall there were 2 extensive tunnels uncovered. Both tunnels were at least 1.5 miles long on the U.S. border side. One with railroad cars to push the drugs through. Two shacks in San Ysidro were used to set the illegals free from going through the tunnels.
They'll give $ 60 billion for Ukraine's border and $0 for US border..
