I like the comment. It's not a tap into the early days. It's the advancements of the early days that make this possible. These cars are comparable to ARCA. Still grass roots but far from stock cars from early NASCAR. Still a great post DB1.
DB1 you had the best response to anything I've commented on. I appreciate that. I didn't know you were there and I wish I could have been there so awesome what the whole team out there is doing. Appreciate you brother, keep the shiney side up.
This is history coming back alive. The hills of yesterday..the pedigree...the heart n soul. Racing on short tracks..hotdogs and burgers..families together and smiling. All the way from Eastern Canada...I love this. Proud of you boys n girls!!!
I'm damn proud to have been a part of that event. We did the best fireworks display we could do! What an unforgettable moment! Racings Field of Dreams!
Drove over 500 miles to be there Wednesday night and feel so fortunate. Never in my life did I think I'd get to see racing back at North Wilkesboro and it was very emotional right before the race started. Thank you to the Dirty Mo team for this series getting me ever more excited as the day approached, and providing the perfect way to relive that night and show my own little girl some day I was there.
Seeing how things unfolded in Wilkesboro, I would hope this paves the way for the Nashville fairgrounds or at least strikes up that conversation again. NASCAR really needs to continue this momentum moving forward to get the Fairgrounds.
Been a diehard Jr fan ever since 1998.. I was 7 years old way back then. All the great times throughout the years are irreplaceable but seeing Jr this happy & having that much fun is beyond words. Maybe we'll see him in the CARS Tour more often. Thank you Dale Jr.
I honestly was never a fan of either of them but since I've started watching his podcast on UA-cam I have the utmost respect for him. I find him very honest, funny, sensitive to others who share painful stories, not self centered at all and very easy to listen to. I am really happy that I started to watch him and Mike because they have given me a new outlook on racing and the drivers of today and yesteryear ✌️🇨🇦
I think we knocked it out of the park for our fireworks display! So thankful and proud to be a part of this event. Thanks Dale , XR Racing, Speedway Motorsports, and everyone that raced, and the thousands that proved that there's still life in Wilkesboro!
I couldn't be there in person but my ass was GLUED to that live stream. Words can't begin to describe how amazingly good the Pavement portion of Racetrack Revival was. There's a lot of people that EVERY race fan should be thanking for that perfect moment. Marcus Smith, Barry Braun, Terri Parsons, SaveTheSpeedway, Wilkes County and a lot more. Dale really was the needle mover. The last puzzle piece needed for people to see what Wilkesboro could still provide. If not for the cleanup for the iRacing scan, none of this would be a reality, but it is, and that whole month of racing was PERFECT.
The #1 thing I took from this ... I absolutely love with how happy Dale Jr is. As a fan of his and his dad for 30+ years it bring me so much joy to see him so happy.
Dale Sr would be proud for all the things Jr has done to preserve the sport they both love so much. Way to go Dale Jr . Junior Nation for life.🙏😇🤘😎🤘🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
The best thing in racing in a while, so happy to see it! Congratulations to everyone involved and I hope you race again soon jr. Looked like you genuinely enjoyed it!
All those young racers deserve a round of applause, that was some good clean competitive short track racing ..... Watching Dale come up through the field at the end picking them off one by one was a thing of beauty ..... Seeing Carson win was nice because I saw his Dad win the track championship in Rockford IL back in 1994 when he was just 18 so it's come full circle
My childhood hero. Never got the chance to see him race cup but you better believe I made it to this. I will cherish this night and the memories for the rest of my life.
This is cool stuff.....Jr is being very modest about his contribution to making this deal happen. Carson is definitely a talented driver.....he will have a promising career.
I just got chills from watching Dale do his drive around. You made alot of people happy. God bless you. I never rooted for him when he was full time. Senior and Rowdy my faves. I can’t get enough of the podcasts and this man does so much to preserve the past and help improve the sport.
Damn. I grew up on small-town supermodified and late-model racing in the Midwest (especially Sandusky Speedway), grew to love NASCAR (huge Dale Earnhardt fan) and Indy (huge Rick Mears fan) and especially all the history growing up in the 80s. Of course, racing today cannot give the vibe of yesteryear. Thank you iRacing, SunDrop, and Dale Jr. ... more than anything for just keeping it real. This was truly special, it hits me in the feels so hard...
Was an AWESOME evening!!!!! Full house with standing room only, CLEAN RACING, Great Fans! This is a wonderful documentary of THE GREATEST RACE IN HISTORY!!!!! REVIVAL!!!! RENEWAL!!!! THANKS DALE JR. FOR ALL YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!!!!
To see this happen at NWB, so many people brought this track back to life! Ever since we seen Dale Jr. profile this track on his show you know they all wanted it again! Awesome and congrats to North Wilkesboro, NC!
So good to see Jr with his wife and family and team enjoying this moment. Great that these moments have been captured. Look forward to watching him race again soon.
This was literally my first NW race i actually got to watch live. For 23 years I've only seen highlights and old film but this was some awesome racing! Bring the track back! 🙌
Just finished all 5 Chapters. I had goosebumps and happy tears. The perfect way to film this historic event. I hope when more upgrades are done that they keep a lot of what is already there, especially in its disrepair. It is like wrinkles in a face, each one was earned. Thank you Dale for being who you are and how much you care.
Way to Dale Jr, Bringing racing back to North Wilkesboro and the way the fans showed up and showed love towards you was impeccable... Thank you Dale Jr for what you did for North Wilkesboro and Wilks Co.
Racing can be cool until it turns into a total "block/crash the other guy" demo derby, not much skill involved at that point just deep wallets and lack of brains imao.
Love all the videos dale you done great!!! Your dad would have been proud of you. I sure to miss him. It was good to see the family before the race the two girls sure are getting bigger growing up fast aren't they? Well dale congratulations on 3rd place win.
Puts a tear in my eye. As a guy born in '96, I never got to watch a NASCAR race at this track. Nascar may return someday, but it will never be like the Winston days. I am so thankful I got to see so many amazing old-school Winston Cup races, but watching this video was like catching the scent of something I will never truly taste. I was bummed when Dale retired, but seeing him pre-race with his family paints the big picture. I am so happy this man is healthy, happy, and living the dream. And he still gets to race when he wants to!
If only we could get Jr to the Slinger Nationals...come on Dale, visit Wisconsin the way it was intended to be visited! Do some good ole' short track racing!!!
You know, I grew up a Gordon/Hendrick fan, had a natural hatred for the Earnhardt name from the start. Started rooting for Jr. when he went to the 88 and every single year he gains more and more respect in my book. He has done so much for the sport, he is such a key role in racing as a whole in this country and has solidified himself as a true legend. Yet with all the fame and fortune he is one of the rare ones you still feel like you could enjoy a beer with.
Always nice to watch Dale Earnhardt Jr behind the wheel. Wish we could see you drive every week, but more happy to see Dale safe ND enjoying the family.
I have been a fan of The Dales since his Dad was driving the No.77 car. So glad Jr. is driving! Love that guy! And love seeing racing at North Wilksboro again! Takes me back many many years!
This is past nostalgia this is proof that the good old days can and hopefully will live again a special thank you Junior your support really nailed it we really need to get as many cup drivers from the past and most definitely the upcoming future in order to live on Almost forgot one comment comes to mine when they scan the crowd WE DRINK BEER WITH OUR TIRE MARBLES AND RACE FUEL!!!! EEEEFFFF YEAH!
Awesome All the way around! I love the way you promote up and coming drivers! Like Landon Huffman! I'm old school and remember his dad racing back then, thanks for posting!
This was a great series. My hats off to the Dirty Mo Media crew. Josh Berry: "TJ, I can't believe I'm going to say this, but you're doing a helluva job". 🤣🤣🤣
Being from Canada I remember see winston cup racing from there on tv. It was great ro see another race. Looking forward ro Allstars race. Great track. Great fans. That time in nascar was the best.
Seeing this made feel so damn good. I havent watched a full Nascar race in years now since JR retired as its just not the Nascar i grew up watching. Been a fan since around the time Gordon came in the game so quite a spell. Been to 4 Daytona races but didnt get to see June Bug win. Anyway this had that feeling i really really miss in racing. He is Nascar and we love him!!!!
I've been an Earnhardt JR. fan since the early nineties and I have to say out of all JR'S wins and accomplishments along the way JR had this glow and I think this was the happiest I'd ever seen him at a track...well done Dirty Mo for the documentary!!! Hopefully this is just the beginning for North Wilkesboro!!! On a side note the older Isla gets the more she looks like Mrs.Brenda (Kelly and JRs Mom)
The fact that this race sold out is absolutely incredible! Wish I could have been there for this, but my vacation isn't until next month 😅. Hoping to catch some of the dirt races though. So glad you documented this.
Better reaction from this crowd than most Nascar races these days ! It's awesome to see all the work and effort done by all involved to get this done ! Kudos to all !
I liked the comment in victory lane , by somebody ( a man ) that said, "look at how happy he is!" Referring to Dale Jr. So true!! Amy looked happy too!
If you're a fan of NASCAR and stock car racing in general, you have to be a fan of current Dale Jr. Even if you didn't like him during his driving career, he's doing so much for the sport. He's really living up to the greatness of the Earnhardt name in NASCAR now off the track. Being from NC and seeing North Wilkesboro become overgrown from highway 421 as a kid, I always hoped this place would come back. iRacing was incredible because I actually got to drive a track I was so interested in. The to see Ryan Newman win in the modifieds the first race back, it didn't feel real. I didn't get to go to this race, and from the videos, it looks like it was electric. I have a feeling this place is about the have a second life!
Jr. Looks very happy and his life has come full circle. He seems to be a great dad and husband and is not going to make the same mistakes his father did with his kids and his wives.
Wish I could of been there. This was a sight to behold and hope there's more to come with this track in the future after dirt. Need to come visit my birth state for some races.
Great to see this! What a storybook ending finishing 1st and 3rd in the three w/Podium finish!!! This will go down as one of the best mini documentaries in racing we'll likely ever see.
What a refreshing sight…packed stands, enthusiastic crowd, and not a NASCAR official anywhere! This is real racing!
🤣
So there was no one looking to be offended, find racism or using made up pronouns. 😏
This is racing. The sights, the sounds. This is a tap into the early days of Winston Cup Racing.

That’s just cool as hell. Junior out with the guys!
Fantastic thanks Dale Earnhardt, Jr. for getting some of The Races away from Charlotte, NC and Concord, NC
