Hi really like your videos! Me and my mom are moving from Florida to Elizabethton in a few weeks. I'm so excited to camp this spring and go to the lakes, we are originally from Minnesota. Now I've read there's LOTS of bears up there, I'm a little scared. When you and your family go hiking & camping , have you run into many bears? How did you handle it? Your videos are great, thanks!
Awe thank you so much! I really appreciate the kind words! I also moved up from Florida and trust me, it’s a lot different here! As for the bears, most hikers/campers won’t see em. They’re honestly more afraid of us than we are of them and they’ll only show up if there’s available food left out. They’re also just black bears which can still be deadly, but are mostly smaller and more shy than grizzlies or brown bears. I have to take my bird feeders in every night as a bear found em two years ago but every time I caught her out there, she just ran. I camp alone often and I don’t even carry bear spray. I’ve never seen one in the woods. Just at my bird feeders 🤷♂️
