Personally I'd like next installement on your role specific tips. Your managing roles and helm role specific video helped immensely with learning basic and advanced tactics. It was comprehensive, clear and concise. I cant wait for the other ones to get better at those roles.

Yup, been running into a fair amount of all of this stuff lately. The weirdest one I’ve seen was somebody making my boat disappear into thin air.
Same shit happened to me today while I was doing my Gilded Hoarders voyage. Guy was teleporting to every ship on the server and kegging them to force them to all leave the server (I think to maybe start and alliance server?). He also had a speed hack, could make your ship fly/spin in midair, and could insta repair/put out fires on any ship. He kept complaining that we weren’t leaving the server and said, “I can find you no matter where you are, I’m just going to keep dropping kegs on you. Just quit already.” He eventually gave up himself and left. I guess I’ll count that as a win?
u should count it as a win when he starts to cheat (for an alliance server) bc at that point he lost whatever was left of him

So that they have access to all your files on your computer like how Valorant does?
A anti cheat can't work. This game is cross compatible with Xbox. Consoles can't have any kind of anti cheat. So until Xbox is cross compatible there never will be anti cheat
@Fureal That's the thing, I disagree with them being able to check your files. The worst part is that you can easily work around the anit cheat.
@Fureal I sure your point, I just wish that an anti cheat that effective didn't have to be that invasion for it to be worth it. It's a double-edged sword. You lose privacy but it denys many more hackers from ruining your experience while sailing.
@Fureal what I meant to say was as long as xbox is cross compatible with PC you'll never be able to get an anti cheat. Also while yes that's true those games do have cross platform there's still the fact that those games anti cheats barley work

I've seen people mention teleporting kegs but never seen in person, damn
I seen an argument in the comments section of one of thebs videos that kegs can't be spawned. This is the 3rd video that proves otherwise.
@@ulfrick11 They're technically correct. Kegs can't be "spawned"
What they're doing to get the kegs onto someone's boat is they're literally fly hacking around the map at Mach 10, going around to forts in order to find kegs, then flying back to the boat and dropping the kegs for them to blow up. That's why there weren't 15 kegs all blowing up at once, and it was just 1 keg every 20 seconds.
But yeah, this is absolutely a cheat. And if people are arguing about how "it's not possible to spawn in kegs" While they are correct, they're not 100% correct.

Me and my crew fought a hacker sloop the other day that blatantly admitted to having aimbot. They still lost easily
this game needs an anti cheat
To me, it's funny seeing something like this. Go to the forums on Rare's website to speak about the existence of cheaters, the mods will lock your post after maybe an hour or two, call you full of shit, and completely deny that there's cheaters in their game at all. All while claiming their alleged "Anti-cheat" is full proof and that whoever posts is being a "toxic troll". I've seen it happen to several posts. And don't even get me started on how they treat people who point out things in the game that are mechanically broken. Hit reg, the incredibly inconsistent wave generator that can cause your cannon shots to literally just fall into the water next to your ship, frame rate issues(Though they admittedly have actually tried to improve this issue), the gun swap animation cancel glitch that's STILL in the game that makes double gunning fucking broken if you're on PC, etc. They completely despise people pointing out the problems with their game and go to great lengths to keep people's mouths shut about it too.
My tangent aside though, that was pretty awesome with how y'all dealt with the cheating crew. Keep up the good work. Rinse them fuckers!

Doesn’t really matter if you report people or not. This game is so poorly coded that you can literally unban yourself from a hardware ban just by running a line of code.

I'm amazed at how cheats in this game don't transform someone into just a cheater, but the literal god of destruction. Throwing kegs constantly, sniping easily from everywhere, and flipping vessels upside down like nothing to sink instantly. Usually cheats play perfectly along the rules of the game, or sometimes exploit a vulnerability; this is just "here, do whatever you want"
try being in Australia and getting transferred in China, its either cheaters or god tier players
I have met some cheaters on pvp at the moment and the numbers are increasing. I cant believe Rare has pvp but no anti cheat. Thats so ridiculous

It's just sad. People pay money to have any type of change to play. If you can't play without hacks find a different game. Weirdos. But uf we start hacking them back and shutting them offline then we are the bad guys. I truly think SOT sells the very hacks that true players hate. I SAID IT.

All I saw was you guys getting owned by a crew that bothered to stack a bunch of kegs. Even the so-called "teleporting" is nothing more than the other players being able to run around your ship without bumping into things like you guys are doing...
This is why I don't play since Season 8 release. "Up against 'alike' players" my right testicle!
this game is def over, s8 bring so many cheater is almost unplayable. Use to be my favorite game but now, i play something else after 5k hr bye sot. im so sad

Same thing happened to me a few days ago, twice in one day. Both times, the players were using new Xbox accounts. One guy had 53 mins total in sea of thieves. They dropped kegs on our ships, and instantly shot to ladder multiple times without missing. I really hope Rare can do something about this.
That sad to see how bad the game start been very bad with this types of players. We meet two yersteday that was obvious they cheat...

I’d love to see the “proof” dm me on Discord. I have never cheated in ANY game, not even FOV. The closest I’ve come to “cheating” was downloading a 1.12.2 X-ray texture pack for Minecraft.
Anyways, DM me the screenshots in discord because people make new photoshopped images all the time, and I like to keep up to date on what new “proof” they have on me.

The player had bigger knowledge of game feautures that's how he was able to flip your boat (No cheats)

People can literally unban themselves. Reporting doesn’t do anything unfortunately.
@@kaijoi8938 right, hence why a better reporting system is needed, anti cheat software on clients has never stopped hackers. Server side code could validate if clients are doing the impossible or not, would be the only acceptable form of anti cheat but that would mean they'd have to up their server side hardware == mo money to run servers
