I took my 14 yr old daughter to her first concert ever, Nightwish may 4th Toronto. She loves Nightwish from always hearing it in the car with me her whole life. Its pretty much all she listens to. We arrived very early, so we grabbed a bite to eat across the street from the venue and Kai and Jukka were sitting two tables over. My daughter was freaking (well... so was dad) I was too chicken to bother them while eating. We ended up almost first in line at the venue, just after lunch, we waited for 6 hours (worth it of course) and it was actually a blast ! We met people from all over the world who came to see Nightwish. We managed to get front row, almost center stage !
My daughter was on fire the whole show, hands in the air singing along, jumping up and down. It was awesome !! Best concert ever!
I used to ask her if music gave her goose bumps or made her emotional, I think she thought her dad was silly. Well at the end of the show she turned, looked at me and completely broke down in tears. Overwhelmed by the experience and sad it was over, being that close to her heros on stage and making eye contact was a surreal experience for both of us. It was a magical day.
Thank you Floor, thank you Nightwish for the best day for me as a father and one my daughter will remember the rest of her life.
I think I earned a few cool dad points that day.

Your daughter gets it. I've been to countless concerts over the years but Nightwish is still my favorite so far.
As an African, I'm sure my neighbors think of me as "weird" for playing Nightwish (or rocks in general) all around. But floor's voice is really lovely to listen

It will be a bit after midnight here in Phoenix. I can't wait. My wife of 40 years, Carol, and I loved seeing you and Nightwish perform live at the Warfield in San Francisco last week. It was well worth the trip from Phoenix to get there and see how great you looked and sounded, as did the rest of the band. Hope you are getting a few days rest before starting the European leg of the Nightwish world tour.

As much as I love Floor's voice as Nightwish vocalist, this song gives her much more air to breath bringing out also the clear and tender nuances that don't get out that much in Nightwish compositions. I lllove it! 💜

I follow Floor since 1999 on Afterforever...I LOVE her...just whant to say never say never. cause i listened interviews were she said couldn't hear pop din't like pop...just like Simone Simons said she wasn't a comercial band and then sale Christmas Épica Balls... anyways. the Son IS nice is very similar than Fire and her voice IS everything It makes everything special.

@@MetalGildarts I think they are referring to the loss of something. Floors sound was unique in metal and non-metal genres alike. The more popular she gets, the more the mainstream vultures will circle, consume and regurgitate bits and pieces of her sound until it's everywhere, then it will no longer be unique.
There might not be someone who can deliver the full package, but they will use what they can to the point you can't escape it and it's magic will fade. Just wait for the copy cats who can do one of her many skills to repeat it in every song they do. It happens to everything the mainstream touches once they realise it makes money. Where as being in a more humble genre like metal (never has mainstream exposure), you are expected to be authentic, since that's a huge part of most metal genres purpose. That's not to say she won't stay authentic, but signing deals with major record labels (like she did for her solo stuff) has a way of forcing their culture on you over time. That will inevitably change things.
It doesn't even have to be anything Floor does herself, it's the industry that does that when they see $$$. We life long metalheads are used to seeing our musicians poached from the genre by the mainstream, which usually ends the same way, the artist moving further away from metal over time. It's like democracy, they move to the bigger crowd to please the larger group of people, which is never the metal fans.

Every song you come out with, I am in love with it directly while still listening to it for the first time. Even the older songs from the past that I never knew before until you sang them at your solo concert, I fell in love with each and every one of those songs straight away.. Your music is so gripping and I cherish everything you put out. The SMS songs you choose to cover by the other performers, automatically become Floor songs to me, by your bonafide Valkyrie goddess signature vocals to enhance the song.
