Thanks for the love on the video guys! I want to say 1 thing because I see people are constantly arguing in the comments. The truth is there is no objective 'BEST SINGER in the World. Nice video. But what puts Floor Jansen one step above the rest it's not just her powerful voice or the belting, or sustaining high notes for a long time. We all know she's a powerhouse, but it's her versatility and how she's a musical chameleon what makes her so unique, she can sing in any style, any technique, any song, and make it sound like it was written for her. The thing that makes Floor stand out is how incredibly versatile she is. She can do full classical right through to death growls and pretty much anything in between. While there are probably singers in certain styles who were better at that particular style, I doubt there is any that is as good as Floor across so many types of singing.
There are tbh, even though she's amazing. (But I don't agree on the "full classical" tbh. @@petercauter9691 she's ventured more away from it. I was lucky enough to see her for the first time 20 years ago. I knew immediately she was something very special. Seen her many, many times since then with AF, Revamp and Nightwish 🖤🤘
First time i saw her was when they opened with AF for Nightwish. I knew AF already on record but not seen them live. Comparisons can be made and different opinions can exist, however There is only one Floor Jansen There is only one Tuomas Holopainen and there is only one Nightwish!
I am completely biased because I just love Floor, but my personal feelings aside. I have never seen such a master over her voice, she knows exactly how to use that instrument to full affect. Her belts rock the heavens, her lows rumble the earth, and she can jump from one to the other with little effort. While she has honed that instrument and pushed it to it's best, not even the all. She has the innate ability to push any emotion she chooses on the listener, putty in her hands. Then you get to stage presence, oh my god, does she have it. I have seen her turn even the most negative crowds to fangirling men with tears in their eyes. She is the complete package, and with Nightwish, perfection to my ears. Nice video, and I think you know she is without a doubt the greatest I have ever heard, and I have heard many many talented vocalists.

What Floor definitely makes outstanding to all other singers in this world is her unique capability to switch from one style to another within a split of a second. Or better I don't know any others on this planet which is able to do so seamless, effortless and still absolute control about her voice.
there are more singers that are able to switch styles like tatjana from jinjer or Alicia White-Gluz from Arch Enemy but they are not as versatile as Floor and they are not delivering such emotions with their vocals
Tbh there are many, many singers who do that. There are not only singers who sing in several different genres, there are whole genres that are called "crossover" in which the singers switch between different styles and technique the whole time. So, yes, she can do that, and it's awesome, but you know... she's not the only one. Many even do that to a much higher degree...

Nothing beats Ghost Love Score by Floor
@@ShardCollector definitely nothing
@Aada Leena yess, my favoutite from the new album is "How's the hearth?", I'm in love with that song :)
There are so many words to describe Floor´s proffesional habilities, but she goes further than that, she is able to touch your heart in a video recorded long ago through a screen. You fall in love with her with her voice and interpretation. And Joining Nightwish was crucial to unleash her complete potential. I personally love her !
She sings better than anyone else in the world today that is for sure. Yes she is better than Beyonce...
Much much better!
I agree that she is the best singer but she has so much more to show for than these clips, her range is far wider from the low to the middle as well. She growls like a beast! . And it`s not only her range, it is the power and structure of her voice, she has trained hard to become this good, she has abs and lungs of steel and she is a great performer on stage! And her live singing is freak`n flawless!
So happy she joined NW, they are such a complete band now with her in it
Agreed. This is like one part of a ten part expose'!

Totally agree with you. Floor Jansen is a whole level higher than anyone I've ever heard.
Saw the "Phantom of the Opera" duet a few weeks ago and was mesmerized by the strength, range, and clarity of her voice. wow, Wow, WOw, WOW!
She is amazing and amazingly versatile, but she doesn't use a real classical singing technique for her classical performances. It's not even a real gola aperta technique tbh. But it's amazing that she can showcase it anyway)
@@petercauter9691 she's ventured more away from it. And fucking clearly struggles with it live as it's not her main study, she's on a metal stage headbanging and belting, and switching between colors and techniques. Going soft, medium powerful, pure, clean, grit, and growl.
It's physically demanding. Most opera singers would fall apart and sound like horse crap at that point.

Floor is the female benchmark of modern day.I have heard a lot of singers in my time but Floor is just not of this world.
I prefer Beth Hart as the benchmark. When I hear Floor, I can't understand what she is saying even if it's a song I know well. Floor does vocalise the songs well, but her pronunciation of the words could be better if I'm going to understand what she is singing.
@@orlock20 I had a listen to her. Shes ok But I would say Linda Ronstadt is higher than Beth Hart and just Below Floor..I would even rate Karen Carpenter higher than Beth and Linda.. Floor though cant be reached she can do any genre and make it her own..IN fact I would even go so far as to say Floor is a genre..
@@keithteaser I have a hard time understanding Floor.

Floor is The Goddess. And best singer, of course.
Tho, nightwish "died" from the leaving of Tarja.
Tarja here, floor there... I dont get that shit... marco all the way lol
@@Tommuli_Haudankaivaja NW only died for you and some..What a sad life indeed..
@@AnthonyElsom You missed a dot or two, but you're right, some like me and most of my relatives dislike the direction Nightwish drifted. There're still a lot of people who like Nightwish, that's for sure, I just don't see a why. I rather listen to "The dark element" than today's Nightwish.
@@Tommuli_Haudankaivaja Well, it's a matter of taste!!
Nobody else can sing such different stuff like her. She is unbelievable!
If one more person says Amy Lee is as good as Floor Jansen, I'm gonna lose it. Amy Lee certainly isn't bad, but she is faaaaar from Floor's singing.

What a Fantastic compilation. Ty so much, she deserves it. Just Shallow and Que ce Siente had to be added to show how much more versatile she is.
Floor makes grown men cry
I have never been so moved emotionally by any other singer.
I totally agree.
To me she is, she definitely is. She can do everything, and she can do everything INCREDIBLY.
I would have added a bit of Shallow and some screaming and growling, and a bit of Slow Love Slow to give viewers an idea of her versatility.
EDIT: And some of the melodies of Music and Pan! They're insane! Let f***ing Queen of Pop Madonna sing that and see how it goes!
I think there is also a reason to mention that she sings christmas song 'O holy night' in Finnish language 'Oi Jouluyö'... Wasn't perfect pronunciation, but ALL THE RESPECT for her to do it live for huge audience (don't think there was anyone who thought it would sound perfect pronunciation anyway)... Finnish language is one damn difficult language to speak, not to mention singing, even for the natives.
trust me, she is ready to pop into pop...the Floor of the former robust days is no more
Outside Context Problem I agree, although in my opinion Slow Love Slow is one of those few songs that Anette actually did better.
@@onlythtruth2938 yeah who would think that she could possibly be in a little more vocal and physical prime at around 32 vs almost 40 and had a baby.
What kind of fucking idiot would think logically like that?????
No words are enough to describe Floor Jansen
One of the best tribute of Floor Jansen! Thank you!
You Sir, are 100% correct for a 53 year old..... my go to band
I was lucky enough to see her for the first time 20 years ago. I knew immediately she was something very special. Seen her many, many times since then with AF, Revamp and Nightwish 🖤🤘
Same here, except for ReVamp. Very happy she joined Nightwish!
First time i saw her was when they opened with AF for Nightwish. I knew AF already on record but not seen them live. I honestly was much more impressed by Floor and the way she brought emotions (yes i cried) then i was by Tarja. Not that i don't like Tarja cause i do. But Floor just really moved me in a way no other singer ever had and did.
Lucky. I saw revamp though. And got her signature tattood
Comparisons can be made and different opinions can exist, however
There is only one Floor Jansen
There is only one Tuomas Holopainen and there is only one Nightwish!
And Tuomas had to wait years, before he got what he wanted, the last singer of Nightwish.
Thema's also one Rian.....😇
I read this comment during the example of everdream, and read it like a motivational speech lol
She's my favorite for sure and absolutely one of the truly great ones. Great compilation.
I see Floor and I click Like.
Floor is the best!!!!!!
Wow!! New fan here!! 😮👍♥️💕
Heard this woman for the first time a week ago (WHAT!!!)). one of the greatest voices I have ever heard and completely exciting.
floor jansen is the best singer to walk on planet earth, unmatched power and beauty, part 3 and 5 poet and the pendulem is the most beatiful sining ever
Didn't watch the video yet, but the answer to the title question is YES!
Now I've watched it and the answer is still YES! That Phantom clip is unreal and I watch the video from the last GLS clip almost every day.
Props to Marco too, they are the ultimate dynamic duo..
Nah, the ultimate 'dynamic duo' existed from 1996 to 2005.
Absolutely agree. She is incomparable. Her range and power are unchallengeable. And her stage presence with Nightwish is captivating. She owns the audience. Love her.
Is it ok to cry when thinking we will never hear a Freddy Mercury and Floor duet?
I don't think humanity is ready for that level of amazing
A Tatiana and Floor song would be incredible!
Yes.
Don't ignore the option, holographic artists have performed before.
As long as there is some form of recording, it will be done eventually.
Oh, I've been fan of Queen since my 16, I'm 58 now and alsof become fan of Floor and Nightwish. Floor doing a Queen cover would be nice.😇
Great compilation, she's a godess
Short Answer - Yes!
I'm a simpel man. I se Floor Jansen and I click and click and...then I start scrolling and want to hear more and more. Another couple of hours wel spend.
Vastly underappreciated in the states. And one of the best in the world
Wow, absolutely amazing.......
As the person above stated, she's not the only one. Check Dimash out if you want to hear what defines a unique singer. Freddy Mercury was the best singer from past century, and i highly doubt someone is to reach or overcome Dimash on 21th century.
@@RangelGabriel Nope. You don't bring Dimash into this. He's not human, there's no comparison.
Though while he is pure perfection I still have to hear him growl. But then, how many people have even ever lived who go from barriton to soprano like it's nothing and have staccato for breakfast.

She IS THE BEST singer for me! I love her voice ♥️
Every time I hear her I am "Floored" and left with just one word. "Wow!".
She is amazing to the point where this video only shows a part of her register of techniques that she has mastered. And she is not only versatile, she's fantastic as conveying emotion and meaning to the lyrics.
I love her!! The best singer! No doubts!
Thanks for the Floor compilation! Love her voice. Dimash, however is the individual I would consider the best singer right now.
Great compilation
I used to say Tarja Turunen, Simone Simons and Floor Jansen, in no particular order… then I watched this video a few weeks ago and was completely floored by that duet towards the end... only then I found out about Floor's participation in Beste Zangers and checked it out. I have heard before how versatility is her strenght, and I am most impressed by allrounders in sports, too… but her performance was out of this world, so to me there is no question anymore about Floor being THE greatest. Now I found this video again and want to say thank you.
There are no words to express what I feel when I hear Floor's amazing voice!😂😂😂🎶🎶🎶🤷♂️
Freddie = best male singer
Floor = best female singer
Period
FLOOR JANSEN!
you must have not been paying attention to Tarja Turunen since she left Nightwish.
Give Angelina Jordan 15 years, we shall see. I love Floor and her ability to cross genre. Angelina had that ability a 6 years old, writes her own versions of a cover age 9 and she just now turned 15.

Her voice, her stage presence, her beauty, her heart, her soul, even her NAME = PERFECTION!
Ghost Love Score gives me goosebumps Everytime. The best.
