I feel great to belong to the Golden Earrings fans! This band has meant lots for me during the years; songs, sounds, their musicallitally, musicianship yes all of it!
Ik kan wel zeggen mijn meest favoriete nummer van de Earrings. Hoorde het voor het eerst in 1974. En luister het nog steeds. Bedankt Golden Earring voor jullie muziek.
one of the most mystic and great tunes from ge. I sometimes wonder how people can give birth to such fantastic songs. and it happens to me from time to time, too.
I was fortunate to see the band live on this tour,May 1975 in Birmingham.Robin Trower was on the ticket that night. Both bands were outstanding.Golden Earring was absolutely incredible.
Best rock band ever. . .was 15 in 1975 and I'd not long bought Moontan, still listen to it most weeks even now, and I'm coming up to 52 in a few months. . Rock on Golden Earring !!!
George Kooymans is such a fucking monster. There he is shredding like the guitar strings are gonna catch fire and it doesn't even look like he's gonna break a sweat
I first heard them on the radio 70s Radar Love. They were supposed to appear on Hastings Pier but didn't but I kept my tickets and posters for years. I had a mad dash!
To say GE was a grossly underrated band…is a gross understatement. Unfortunately we no longer rate performers based on abilities. Instead, it is a mixture of politically correct crap designed to keep from offending all the easily offended special interest groups, and promote hard left political views. For example, in Rolling Stone’s list of 100 greatest guitarists you’ll see Keith Richards #4, Chuck Berry #7, Neil Young #17 and the Edge #38…and George Kooymans is not even on the list. Are you kidding??? I suspect GK could outplay Keith Richards or Neil Young when he had been playing about a month. Well, at least we have the internet, so GE’s talents can be appreciated. Equally unfortunate is the fact that younger generations will probably never discover talented groups such as Golden Earring, since most listen to whoever the music company exec’s tell them to.
absurdio1955 I can see why.....their late 60's and early 70's stuff is pretty heavy......just as heavy as Black Sabbath or Deep Purple, and heavier than Led Zeppelin ...as a matter of fact Tony Iommi of Sabbath had 'writers block' in 1974 and he credits listening to G.E's Moontan kind of snapped it out of him.
Yes he is especially pete way Harris spoked about him a lot And covered with maiden "doctor doctor" (that cover introduced me to UFO And with british lion (harris project) "Let it roll"
I think this band was tremendously under-rated. moon-tan and switch were two incredible albums. Not being British or American hurt these guys
They are still alive and enjoyed worldwide.
@@smwrbd no, it's now over they stopped, because a member has a illness ☹
Completely agree!
