I'm Japanese, and listened to this song many times about 30 years ago. In this song , the date is Christmas, and she is cerebrating her ex-boyfriend's birthday, recalling the days she spent with him.
I first heard this on a plane to Hong Kong in Summer 2004 with some sub par complementary plane headsets. I wasn't able to read japanese at the time to get the name of the artist and the headsets were too low fi to hear the voice with enough clarity. I had found Meiko Nakahara randomly around again in the 2009s but at the time I was unable to tie the voice directly to this track in my older memory due to the plane headset fidelity. But now just merely hearing the beginning few notes was all it took to recall it. 19 years man, this is too intense.

Best song of the album, but for a strange reason it makes me miss Meiko Nakahara so much, I want her back, but I also know that's impossible. She's no longer part of the Japanese musical industry, she decided to live a normal life. Anyway, we still have her songs to remember her as the great singer she is.

One of her best songs! While the instrumentals and composition isn't on the same level as some of the other songs on this album, I enjoy it more than most of them. It feels like it would fit more on 303 E., with stuff like Alesha and Daybreak in NY.

I'm not 100% sure but I think this was recorded when Meiko was living in New York in the late 80's. Anyway I'd personally rate it higher than her hit song Fantasy, to be honest.
