I agree. I'm from the United States and as a kid, growing up in the 1990s, there was no UA-cam. Heck, I didn't even have internet access at home until the mid 2000s, so there was no way I would've had access to this music. The World Wide Web and more specifically, UA-cam, has opened up a world of music that I hadn't heard before because it wasn't available in my country. I've really come to like late-1970s and 1980s Japanese pop music (or City Pop as it's commonly referred to in the West.)
I was 20 years old and I never listened to more than 5 different types of music, but now I am constantly exploring the music genres of different countries. I go beyond saying that there is only my country and my culture in the world. I am so grateful for this that I cannot explain it. While discovering new music, my dream is to find a girl with a hobby like mine and marry her.
