Jonathan was a goddamn powerhouse in terms of his physical strength AND Hamon.
I’d bet literal money that his hamon is still many times more potent than Joseph’s.
Too bad we couldn’t see his Hamon more ;-;
Tbh Jonathan is so underrated, people shit on him just because he "has no personality" and he was "dumb". Neither of that is true. Even if it was a little rushed and unnoticed, even Jonathan had his character development, he went from being a spoiled brat that daydreamed about being a "gentleman" and being disinterested about a lot of things, he became a real gentleman that learned to fight for his family and loved ones, he even went from actually despising Dio to being able to forgive him, but he knew he needed to defeat him. Jonathan is actually intelligent, I mean, he barely know how to use hamon "Zeppeli just had a "long week" to train him, so obviously he was a half-baked hamon user, Jonathan had to masterize his Hamon in his journey (the fight with Jack the ripper is the best example of this), he didn't know anything about Hamon techniques at all, thats why he creates his special attacks out of mere strategy and using what he thinks would help (Metal Silver overdrive and Turquoise blue overdrive are good examples), he is extremely talented and a good strategist, in the most gentlemanly way (Just because Joseph uses more trickery for his attacks and even play with his enemies doesn't make Jonathan a fool for being straightforward).

I think Joseph has to be more potent than Jonathan since he got formal training by Lisa Lisa with equipment, the mask being an example. I still love Jonathan tho, being the buffest UwU in existance.

Plus, Jonathan’s Hamon was strong enough to completely vaporize vampires, and he could also control it quite well.
I’ll admit that it is possible that Joseph’s Hamon is either near or on par with Jonathan’s, but I personally disagree due to Joseph also being described as a lazy student, constantly skipping classes and genuinely sometimes not giving af.

Jonathan manage to made flower blooms even without stand power. He also able to performed an ora ora barrage. What a beast.
I miss Hamon,more specifically I miss hand-to-hand combat,later in JoJo's it's more about strategizing than actual physical combat.

I love how different hamon users use hamon differently. Joseph is using hamon conductors to deliver his hamon more effectively without the enemy noticing, while jonathan takes advantage of his huge muscles to use hamon as a sort of strengh power up.

The Strength: his muscle mass and combat training makes him STUPIDLY strong and he has Hamon which can be used to boost his overall strength using certain Hamon moves/techniques. For speed, if you compare his Sunlight Yellow Overdrive to a Star Platinum Beatdown, it might just be me but it looks like they punch in a very similar speed. That’s basically my explanation to all this. Although it’s just what I think

Jonathan's Hamin sounds so...Pure and Ripple filled. While Josephs sounds more electrified and forcefully evolved. Which could be from Josephs hard and quickly trained while Jonathan had more time to hold his ground and hone his training
