Not gonna lie, when I first watched jojo, I totally didn't expect Jonathan to die this early. Shonen anime has practically invincible characters, and it was a really big balls move for Araki to create a series with different main characters in each parts, and I'm just so glad that it works
Killing off the main protagonist and not resurrecting him later was a ballsy move back when it was first serialized in the 80's and is still a ballsy move by today's anime/manga standards.

His motivation for going after Dio wasn't because he wanted to save the world from Dio, it was to avenge all the people that died because of Dio. At first it was his father George but then Bruford, Zeppeli, and Tonpetty were added to that list.

We never see them do this because Johnathan and Joseph either choose to spare their human enemies, they were vampiric creatures that disintegrated or they were fighting Stand users that didn't attack in close quarters combat. It's entirely possible that had Joseph been the one to fight Rubber Soul (Yellow Temperance) instead of Jotaro, Joseph could have ended the fight with a single blow by transferring the impact straight through the animated biomatter protecting his opponent (bypassing the Stand's protection to hurt the user, not by damaging YT itself). We've also seen it do crazy stuff like turn a handful of hair into a bulletproof shield, make bubbles that can explode with enough force to hurt, trap people in floating bubbles, take control of people and animals while granting them enhanced strength and even gave Johnathan strength that surpassed Tarkus (who could lift a building sized boulder one-handed). (And other nice perks like a small healing factor, water walking, slowed aging (though it doesn't seem to let you live beyond a normal human lifespan) and reading a person's destiny with a touch)) It's only real weakness is the need to maintain your breathing so choking them or using an airborne irritant can disarm them fairly easily.

Gonna go cry now, because Jonathan was the actual one that started all this ( i mean, Kars created the mask in the first place but yeah ) and this just brings back memories now that I've watched all of the parts and i am reading part 7, im real sensitive when it comes to something that has already ended and i just don't want to let go of it. Like the whole jjba thing, it will all be just a memory one day and people will forget about it ( istg i am gonna have a panic attack bc of this ) and just the thought of people forgetting about Jonathan makes me have that weird feeling in my stomach, its like i will explode any second now, like you are under so much pressure you want to die ( my breathing is accelerated also ) And again the thought of this all ending makes me want to die and never in my life watch anime again, it's not like Jonathan or rather anyone in this anime is real but it still gives me a hard time going through that thought. Overall i just don't want something i love ( basically jjba saved me from alot of things, i know it sounds like its cap, but it really isn't ) to slip away from me, like i want it to continue forever until i die. I genuinely don't want to live anymore, but now that i think about it, Araki has a solid 20 years more to live. Jonathan was my favorite JoJo along with my favorite theme. It's not my favorite theme because I like the music better, it's my favorite theme for the same reason he's my favorite JoJo. He didn't have to keep hunting Dio, but he did. Apart from that, he uses everything he has to his advantage and although he was never the most powerful JoJo in terms of strength, he was the best in terms of courage, determination, development, and made the best attacks from nothing.

Here goes my wild brain: Zeppeli learnt his Hamon breath in Tibet from some monks there. After watching the entire series over the years I always come back to part 1 and 2 the most, hamon was incredibly awesome and the jojos and zeppillies along with the villains were the best in the series. Parts 3-6 have some of the best characters and fights (especially part 3 and 5) but there has been 138 episodes based on stands while there’s on 26 based on hamon so you come to appreciate the first 26 more

Like the whole jjba thing, it will all be just a memory one day and people will forget about it ( istg i am gonna have a panic attack bc of this ) and just the thought of people forgetting about Jonathan makes me have that weird feeling in my stomach, its like i will explode any second now, like you are under so much pressure you want to die ( my breathing is accelerated also ) And again the thought of this all ending makes me want to die and never in my life watch anime again, it's not like Jonathan or rather anyone in this anime is real but it still gives me a hard time going through that thought. Overall i just don't want something i love ( basically jjba saved me from alot of things, i know it sounds like its cap, but it really isn't ) to slip away from me, like i want it to continue forever until i die. I genuinely don't want to live anymore, but now that i think about it, Araki has a solid 20 years more to live. So in conclusion i will be 30+ years by then, i will probably have a happy life, a job, possibly a partner and so on, and i won't have to worry about that kind of stuff, but here i am still having this strange feeling in my stomach everytime i see or hear about Jonathan or any other Jojo charecter that i love. Oh lord, saying this really made feel better.

Jonathan was my favorite JoJo along with my favorite theme. It's not my favorite theme because I like the music better, it's my favorite theme for the same reason he's my favorite JoJo. He didn't have to keep hunting Dio, but he did. Apart from that, he uses everything he has to his advantage and although he was never the most powerful JoJo in terms of strength, he was the best in terms of courage, determination, development, and made the best attacks from nothing.

After watching the entire series over the years I always come back to part 1 and 2 the most, hamon was incredibly awesome and the jojos and zeppillies along with the villains were the best in the series. Parts 3-6 have some of the best characters and fights (especially part 3 and 5) but there has been 138 episodes based on stands while there’s on 26 based on hamon so you come to appreciate the first 26 more
