Dio just was cocky while fighting jotaro
But still Jonathan is the strongest jostar in strength

Even if Jonathan did have speed or unrealistically TIMESTOP johnny can still move through it all easily and he’s not a vampire so hamon would do damage but not as much as it would DIO also with GER I agree that ger has little to no durability because being seen to be defeated by only one punch by diavolo but that’s if jonathan can even touch ger if he’s even able to get to ger, I agree with your statements with jonathan just had a couple reasons on why things would go differently when it comes to jonathan being the best and strongest joestar but it doesn’t mean some joestars can’t defeat him. He probably wouldn’t have been able to use it much against Dio, as even a Hamon prodigy like his ancestors needed time to train and Jotaro didn’t really have time for much training, he might’ve been able to pick up some of the basics details of it, but not enough. Also while Jotaro is clever his main strategy is always to get in close and take out his opponent, Dio is clever and if by some miracle hamon could effect the World, all that would do is make Dio more cautious and possibly lead to him running away the minute he felt a true threat.

The first three JoJo's have something the other JoJo's didn't, a boost from the writer or plot armor. Especially Joseph and Jotaro. There were so many instances where these two would've died but still manage to come out on top. There's just something so mysterious about these guys and how they had to be held back through some weakness, whether it is not getting a powerup or old age.
Legit
At least Joseph had Hamon supercharging his body.
@@MRForca I gotta be honest...it's physically impossible, according to the lore presented in the series, for Jonathan to be stronger than Joseph. Jonathan could barely handle Dio, and he still died doing that.
Dio...is factually weaker than the Pillar Men, according to what the lore lays out in Battle Tendency. In fact, the Pillar Men see vampires as...food.
The stone mask grants humans a fraction of the Pillar Men's strengths, and expands their weakness (i.e. to sunlight and Hamon).
Joseph fought and killed one...and then IMMEDIATELY continued into fighting another, stronger one...that then literally became the Ultimate Being in the world.
I won't count Joseph's victory against Kars as a testament to his strength (it wasn't), but the fact is he still NEARLY killed Kars before his transformation. And Kars was far and away the strongest opponent before he ever became Ultimate Kars.
Pillar Men >>>>>>> Vampires >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Base Humans
That's the strength scale we're looking at...even a particularly strong vampire couldn't beat a Pillar Man, even if the Pillar Men couldn't just immediately devour them. Even if the Pillar Men could be killed via some method other than Hamon (which vampires can't use). The vampires, at base, are just physically weaker than the Pillar Men. The Stone Mask effect on humans just turns them into weak imitations of the Pillar Men
This is specifically why Araki has never outright stated this OUTRAGEOUS claim. Because he literally, objectively, removes that idea from debate in the VERY NEXT PART
@@brendonw456 not reading all that. join the discord
@@MRForca Fine. Here's the TLDR:
Part 2 clearly states the Pillar Men are stronger than vampires. Joseph killed 1, solo, and then nearly killed another, stronger one, immediately after. Dio is a vampire. Jonathan had to push himself to death to handle a weaker version of what Joseph dealt with.
Johnathan was killed by the plot not the main villain
Araki made a chart of all the JoJos up to part 5 (he had yet to do Stone Ocean back when he did this and was doing Vento Aureo) where he did the stats for the JoJos’ physical strength, explosive power, intelligence, willpower, looks, and luck, similar to how he does with stand stats. You can find them in Weekly Shonen Jump #13 (1997).
Jonathan was the only JoJo with an A in physical strength with Jotaro and Joseph having a B and Giorno and Josuke having a C. Jonathan also had A on looks and an A on willpower (the only other JoJo to have an A in these places was Giorno). However Jonathan had a C in explosive power (Josuke was the only one with an A in this section) and he has C on luck(Joseph was the only JoJo with an A) and in his intelligence he had a B (Jotaro and Joseph were the only ones who had an A in intelligence).
Basically when it comes to pure physical strength only, Jonathan is the strongest. The script for the Eyes of Heaven game was surpervised by Araki and in it all the other JoJos are surprised at how strong Jonathan for a person that does not have a stand. Jotaro even mentions in one of his winning quotes against Jonathan that he was lucky that Jonathan did not have a stand.

The sheer amount of mental hoops you have been jumping through is almost impressive icl
1:50 while i dont argue that jonathan is the strongest joestar (i love jonathan), i can't say i agree that part 3 DIO *didn't have access to his vampiric abilities*, specifically for space ripper stingy eyes, he didn't wanna do it because it expels vampiric essence, weakening himself in the process, and he wanted to get The World's time stop abilities to reach their fullest potential (which The World gets a longer timestop the stronger DIO himself is). As for why he didn't use the freezing ability... well he didn't really have a use for in part 3, there was no point at which he was close enough to someone to use it, and even if he did, his intention was to prove that The World is "the ultimate stand"
The freezing ability is the one vampire ability I can see him not having in Part 3. In Part 1 Dio mentions that he can use his vaporizing freezing technique because he had full mastery and control of his body. In part 3 he does not have full control of Jonathan’s body so it’s only natural to assume he wouldn’t be able to use it even if he wanted to.
@@sonpanchan that's a fair point
Star platinum the same type of stand
This is a plausible take, but it’s not actually addressed in the source material. He just kinda doesn’t use any ability other than healing; we can assume he’s lost the powers, or maybe he just didn’t want to use them or didn’t have a good opportunity. But it’s not really for certain
@@bananabanana484 actually we can assume he very much has all his abilities but we dont know the reason for not using them. he can and does turn people (at least one person) after awakening into a vampire and his flesh parasites are a direct application of his vampire powers. we could infere that the flesh parasites are simply far more efficient than siring entire vampires potentially wasting energy that he's been building up for years.
i will say that even though DIO probably had all his powers the only time he'd be willing to use them is in the state after drinking Joseph's blood as that changed him... but stands are just more efficient and he cant use his abilities on star platinum
It’s a common thing to think strength=power when in reality they are different. Strength is a more of a physical force and Power is where hax comes in.
Well, Power is just energy/time. I think you mean fighting ability, which is an understandable distinct. Aqua man can probably lift more than the Flash, but the flash probably wins

Straizo is a bit of a result of why Dio can't use Hamon.
the other problem is that Hamon is still a problem for Dio (even in time stop otherwise he wouldn't need to use a knife to kill Joseph.)

@@atlasrecordsrusdub dio is a vampire if he used hamon he would be dead already
@@atlasrecordsrusdubI can prove that he would die by using hamon as a vampire because straizo used hamon and then his entire body crumbled
Theres so many assumptions.
For example diavolo being weaker than p4 jotaro.
Araki didnt EVER have Part 5 in his mind sorted out when p4 was getting written.
Also there are many statements by Dio before encountering the crusaders saying if he is able to consume josephs blood or any joestars blood, jonathans body will be his.
And theres many hints how Dio had a huge powerup when he sucked Joseph's blood.
Breaking jotaros Bones with a simple barrage when 1 punch to Sp in the face at the start of the fight only made jotaro bleed.
Also Jotaro was constantly reacting to dio at the start of the fight.
But when dio came in for the kicks, jotaro barely is able to block, still gets destroyed cause dio had a strength powerup.
Not only that
But dio also got his Part 1 regen speed back, after jotaro broke his hand he healed it back shortly after without consuming blood.
Hell even before greatest high he healed the punch through the stomach without needing to consume blood.
Yeah the video is incredibly disingenuous and very heavily giving Jonathan every benefit of the doubt, im sure anyone would win this debate against him
Not sure about him getting his part 1 regen back, he was blown in half from a non-hamon related source and couldn’t recover while straizo who should be relative to part 1 Dio (but most likely is generally weaker) was entirely blown to bits by grenades and recovered fine. I do agree that DIO getting Joseph’s blood was a huge power-up as that’s just what the narrative is telling us but the increase is unquantifiable, but it’s most certainly not back to his part 1 self fully in the physical department. Especially considering how he lost by being hit on his weaker side, which implies that he had far more room for growth in not just his time stop length. As a side note I’d argue it’s also fair to say at least physically Jotaro would outmatch Diavolo with Star Platinum as he showed general superiority over a Silver Chariot in better condition than the one shown in Part 5 while Diavolo had to work around Silver Chariot with his ability and couldn’t outright overpower it. Star Platinum’s stand stats are also generally superior to King Crimson but that’s way less important considering how bizarre they can be.
@@p1xiest1ck6 I mean...he'd have to explain how Dio Brando is somehow stronger than the Pillar Men, while simultaneously the result of wearing the mask they designed that turns humans into WEAKER and bastardized versions of Pillar Men.
Because Joseph soloed one of those Pillar Men and then continued on to fight an even stronger one and NEARLY win *that* fight as well...before that Ultimate Being transformation. And that enemy was so OP that the plot literally just had to force him to lose.
But the YTer does conveniently skip over Part 2 entirely...probably because ALL of the lore in that section contradicts the idea of Jonathan being the strongest without dispute.
@@brendonw456 yeah, it was told in part 2 that santana has the same strenght as dio brando, and santana is shown to be way weaker than the pillar men
@@playergudsteak Yeah, but Santana himself is also a Pillar Man. He's just the weakest one. I almost forgot about him. He comes and goes so fast.
But yeah, Santana's main role is to introduce the Pillar Men, what they are, what they can do...and then give a comparison for just how strong the rest of the Pillar Men are.
And even with his strength compared to Dio...Santana would *still* have the edge because Dio actually...can't...do anything to Santana. He needs Hamon to fight him, but he can't use it.

Johnathan Joestar when he encounters a Stand that can break him in half like a piece of wood and stop time: 👁👄👁
the greatest Jonathan feat in my opinion is the first fight against vampire Dio in the burning mansion.
Dio was shown to be ripping off the policemen to shreds with his barehands after his transformation, yet Jonathan managed to tackle him through a brick wall and hold him in place to get him pierced by the statue.
And that was without hamon too, just with gentlemanly rugby boxer muscles.
part 1 was always one of my favorite
Dio: BRING OUT YOUR STAND AND LETS END THIS JOJO!
Jonathan: I don’t need a stand to defeat you.. *_I’VE GOT HAMON!_*
You reaching with the different body take... it's Johnathon's body. His cells
By definition it’s a different body
Honestly, this makes sense. Jonathan is a Christ figure, an ideal that all of the later JoJo's are striving to live up to. No matter what heights the other JoJos reach, they got there by standing on his shoulders.
Does it make sense from power scaling? Probably not, but this is fiction. We don't always have to be physically consistent. Storytelling always comes first.
Going back to the Christ analogy, we still feel Jonathan's presence well after his heroic sacrifice. Jonathan's body is what stops Dio from reaching full power and gives our heroes stands to fight back with. Sure, it might be a coincidence, but it also might not be. Also, everyone knows that Star Platinum is a dead-ringer for Jonathan. While I don't think it's Jonathan's ghost or anything like that, it's a symbol that his legacy is alive in Jotaro. Also, let's not forget that the speed wagon has been helping our heroes entirely out of gratitude for Jonathan.
Also I don't think Jonathan was the most powerful strength-wise. In his time, he was just a really strong fighter. However, that's all he needed to overcome his trials. If he had been the one fighting Kira, Diavolo, Kars, Pucci, or the world, he would've risen to the challenge and beaten those villains too. That's just who Jonathan is, an iron-willed hero who finds a way. Jonathan's mind and brawn aren't what makes him special, it's his heart.
Jonathan lost to Dio's head lol
Don't mind OVA Star Platinum literally throwing a building... that might outdo Jonathon.

3. Kars > pt1 Dio (not even close)
And frankly, how hard a character can hit a wall hardly matters when stands consistently catch, dodge, or slice bullets, (not even mentioning RHCP or MiH) whilst being equally or infinitely stronger than these regular physical characters with swords man
@@Lestergaming-fe5jm the video was in reference of strength that’s why I titled it that way. I also explained in the video who beats who. Kara is weaker than dio
the fact he can stand clash in the game says everything
Jonathan is definitely the most physically strongest
Jonathan has some crazy abilitys, deslocating his arms without pain, killing a vampire, its just crazy actually, he survived a house burning and jumping from the balcony, he IS strong asf, with a stand, i fear what the man can do
Im might be a little bit bias but Joseph(Part2) should be stronger than Jonathan because he fought Straizo that was around Dio (Part 1) level even if not stronger and then we have the pillar man that were stated to be completly superior to vampires and Joseph defeated Santana before even having Hamon training and after his training he was able to defeat everyone one of them by just being stronger and being a little lucky.
Just because he “should” doesn’t mean he “would be”.
Listen man, if Araki said it be so, then it is what it is.
But nah, he be sayin the one who started it all was the strongest.
@@D.W.M.T.Y.A.W._CheckAbout_ the shoulds are based on arakis statements like that the pillar man are stronger than dio part 1
@@inazumamati4954 And yet, What does he say? Jonathan is stronger.
Don’t get me wrong, it sounds retarded. Big man really did just put it out there.
But I mean… it’s not our fault because, we did get a whole ass fighting game, not necessarily canonical, essentially wanking The JoJo of Part 1.
i thought the same, also joseph use of hamon is very versatile and he's so op in terms of inteligence the dude can predict whatever you are going to say next, also the pillar men are stated as vastly stronger than the vampires, but dont listen to me im a huge tomokazu sugita meat rider
Dio p1 solos straitzo vampire low diff, When straitzo space stinger eyes cant ever damage joseph, dio cuts the sky and a tower with it, dio always have freezing abilities too.
4:10 yk what else is massive
But ULF Kars is one of the strongest too because he has a million times of Hamon Evolution though he can melt some human too because he adapt the life form energy without breaking a sweat based on Kars Theory in Part 2
I can't stop laughing😂 at the last scene. Imagine a metro man Vs Perfect Cell
I get that jonathan is probably the one who can punch the hardest, but jojo fights aren't like db fights, i like jonathan be he's cooked if he has to face off against jotaro or giorno
yeah ik. i was just showing how jonathan is the stronger in the manga. i never said he could beat everyone and i explicitly said jotaro beats him
Jonathan also has the moral highground he is the good guy in every fight hes in and so has bs plot armor and power to help
Araki saying Jonathan Joestar is the strongest Joestar not because of how powerful he physically is, it's because Jonathan has a true heart, that no other Joestar had.... I'll leave that for you to figure it out 😊❤
bro was on some good shit while writing this😂😂😂
interesting video, dubs imo🔥
Jonathan is also the strongest mentally, so if he had managed to get a stand it’d probably be very OP
As He should be
Respect to the gentleman. Jonathan is indeed the strongest for what its worth. No stands no hax just physical build and training.
you gotta be baiting bro. DIO has all of his vampiric abilities in part 3.
Why didn’t he use sting eyes when he needed to execute jotaro while he was being cautious? Makes more sense than tk get a metal stop sign
@@MRForca why didn't Jotaro use Star Finger in part 6 to hit Pucci with the extra range it gives him? why didn't Dio stop time again to limit Jotaro's options?
Araki either forgot about the ability altogether, or just wanted to write a more engaging and tense moment. (not even mentioning that space ripper stingy eyes would be useless if Jotaro really WAS alive, as it's just high pressurized liquid. Star Platinum could deflect that easily.)
side note, he has the ability in Heritage for the Future, which Araki had a pretty decent amount of involvement in during it's development.
@@zigged5296 Star Finger is worse than just straight up punching, Star platinum has better range than star finger and a punch is both faster and stronger
stopping time isn't something you can do constantly, we see that DIO had to train The World to be able to stop time for longer periods of time, and Jotaro is unable to stop time for more than 5 seconds at his PEAK. DIO couldn't stop time in the finale after being crippled by star platinum because he was too weak and has already used a lot of his "stamina" to stop time for the roadroller attack
@@kdevelopergw where in the world did you get the idea that Star Finger is weaker OR slower?? it goes just as fast as a punch from Star Platinum (lightspeed plus) and just puts all the strength behind a regular punch from Star Platinum into a smaller point. it's a more range-focused option with more precision required.
@@zigged5296 Jotaro literally says it in the source material... It's a last resort move, he only uses it when he can't do anything else *because* it's so bad. Heritage for the Future makes it seem stronger than it actually is because you can still input other moves as jotaro if you perform it with stand mode disabled, and it stuns the enemy when it hits, but the first benefit of that move can be applied to any stand move, and the second benefit was made up for the game so that they could incorporate the funny move into his moveset
Wow.. Of all the ways to be wrong you chose all of them. Now that is impressive!
W video!!
Dio certainly did have his vampiric powers, it's his ego. We saw his ego put him in disadvantage spots multiple times. Such as him taking a spear to the hand to show his new powers off, sticking to a wall to watch Jonathan die, only to fall with him into the fire, thinking he won since he broke Jonathan's sword and getting decapitated, and of course losing to Jotaro because his ego got to such a high point he refused to use some of his vampiric abilities.
This is all dependent on
Part 1 Dio Brando > part 3 DIO
Which honestly I find hard to believe simply because of how busted the world is. Sure his vampirism abilities were always put into question but his strength never was. To say Jonathan scales higher destructively than Star platinum or the world sounds abit too out there. I personally don't see that because of Joseph's existence. You completely gloss over Joseph but hes the direct link to vampires such as Dio Brando. DIO himself says that hamon compared to him now is fodder. This is before greatest high. Joseph part 2 beat a vampire relative to Dio brando and then the pillar men which no matter how you slice it ARE above Dio brando. Sure hamon is underrated and i wish we did see more of it but to say it surpasses stands in strength I just gotta doubt it. But if you are gonna believe this Dio scaling then by all means Joseph and Jonathan (both post zeppeli amp) I guess are the "strongest"? Clickbait video but i thought I'd comment smth since this whole line of scaling is something I've never seen before or would really believe myself
By all means by your crazy scaling I'd wonder what your arguments and such would be for the pillar men lmao
Whatever you believe in the line of scaling or not is up to you. i don't really text debate but ill drop some responds in here right now. 1. he said hamon is fodder compared to himself in part 3 cause he cna stop time and harm joseph through objects to bypass hamon. 2. dio in part 1 is physically stronger than the world and part 3 as i expalined in the video. You got to fully watch it along with the other dio video for context. Straizo is not comparable to dio in strenght or speed. Just cause they got similar abilities doesn't mean they operate on the same level as dio has done nothing but consume lifes and gotten massively stronger while we don't know how mnay lives straizo has eaten. Also i glossed over joseph because he doesn't scale to anyone on jonathans level nor does he scale to dio in part 3 and i went in-depth why jonathan is stronger than that one. The answer you're looking for is literally in the video
@jaqcole Dio and Straizo are relative no matter how you put it due to the hierarchy of beings or whatever we learn in part 2. They're both vampires, similar abilities, and such. It can even be implied Araki was tryna show off Joseph's cool new character by putting him up against someone that is on Dio's level immediately. Not to mention the pillar men being directly above this for higher stakes. Same for part 3 DIO is back with a stand and by greatest high is stronger than ever. Part 4 tones it down as Araki's style changes. Again i just don't agree with your scaling of Dio part 1 which breaks this whole line of thought apart
@@MRForcayou saying this is the strongest he has ever felt due to stand energy and dio believe with the world that hamon is of no issue to him leads me to again believe stands > hamon. Unless you think Jonathan's hamon is above ulf kars i see no reason as to why it'd be above star platinum. Which is also another thing that breaks your whole line of scaling. You rely so much on statements and comparisons yet the feats for part 1 are so minimal it is hard to believe for me. Like if someone scales part 3 higher than part 1 which most do then yeah this falls apart
@@therealwhoever i mean, from a narrative standpoint, yes, straitzo was used to show off how cool the new joestar is and wow he killed a vampire so quickly wow wow but really straitz is nowhere near on Dio's level, because for one, he didn't drink the blood of an entire village like DIO did, he didn't experiment with what his new vampiric body can do (although he does know about the stinger eyes from seeing DIO use them), and he just didn't really have the wits that DIO did.
Joseph is the strongest JoJo because he has the power of "naisu naisu". Absolutely unbeatable.
The insane mental gymnastics and meat riding is crazy 💀
Jonathan is my favorite Joestar, and it's so vindicating to hear Araki declare that

Suppose that you were sitting down at this table. The napkins are in front of you, which napkin would you take? The one on your ‘left’? Or the one on your ‘right’? The one on your left side? Or the one on your right side? Usually you would take the one on your left side. That is ‘correct’ too. But in a larger sense on society, that is wrong. Perhaps I could even substitute ‘society’ with the ‘Universe’. The correct answer is that ‘It is determined by the one who takes his or her own napkin first.’ …Yes? If the first one takes the napkin to their right, then there’s no choice but for others to also take the ‘right’ napkin. The same goes for the left. Everyone else will take the napkin to their left, because they have no other option. This is ‘society’… Who are the ones that determine the price of land first? There must have been someone who determined the value of money, first. The size of the rails on a train track? The magnitude of electricity? Laws and Regulations? Who was the first to determine these things? Did we all do it, because this is a Republic? Or was it Arbitrary? NO! The one who took the napkin first determined all of these things! The rules of this world are determined by that same principle of ‘right or left?’! In a Society like this table, a state of equilibrium, once one makes the first move, everyone must follow! In every era, this World has been operating by this napkin principle. And the one who ‘takes the napkin first’ must be someone who is respected by all. It’s not that anyone can fulfill this role… Those that are despotic or unworthy will be scorned. And those are the ‘losers’. In the case of this table, the ‘eldest’ or the ‘Master of the party’ will take the napkin first… Because everyone ‘respects’ those individuals
