Roland Bautista was a member in 1972 for their album Last Days and Time but left soon after. He rejoined after the departure of rhythm guitarist Al McKay in 1980 for Raise in 1981 and Powerlight and Electric Universe in 1983. Al McKay was there from 73-80 and did work on Shining Star and Sing A Song and That’s The Way Of The World is actually credited to guitarist Johnny Graham.
There will never be another band like Earth Wind and Fire. These guys actually sang those great songs and played the music themselves without all the equipment these days. Most of these so-called singers today wouldn't be crap if they had to go in the studio and really sing and have a band play the music.

Hi I wish you would have mentioned my Grandfather "WADE FLEMONS" he was one of the founding singer members of Earth Wind and Fire, when they were "The Salty Peppers" he was a member from 1969 until 1971 and then he left the group, and became a solo artist writing songs for other groups such as the "Dells". He wrote The Dells song "Stay in my corner" as well as his own solo songs. He passed away in my home town of Battle Creek Michigan in 1993. You can Google him

A lot of errors in this video. Roland Bautista did not play on That's the Way of the World and Shining Star. He left the band in 1972 and those songs were in 1975. Johnny Graham and Al McKay played on those songs. And the first photo they showed of Fred White is NOT him. That first photo of Jessica Cleaves wasn't her either!!! Donald Myrick was not a founder of EWF. He was part of the horn section. Someone did NOT do research before making this video. They did a lot of guessing!!! SMH!!! This video needs to be removed. Was it me or was was this narrated by a male Siri? Saw them with Chicago several times. Loved when Champlain would sing with them in the song he co-wrote = After The Love Is Gone. The intro to the 80s HBO concert video was so good. The Phil and Phil video do Easy Lover is a classic.

Rolan Bautista was an original member, but he left before the head to the sky album, returning in 81. He wasn’t there during their heyday

Charles Stephany was never amember of EWF. He was just the bands producer.
A lot of errors in this video. Roland Bautista did not play on That's the Way of the World and Shining Star. He left the band in 1972 and those songs were in 1975. Johnny Graham and Al McKay played on those songs. And the first photo they showed of Fred White is NOT him. That first photo of Jessica Cleaves wasn't her either!!! Donald Myrick was not a founder of EWF. He was part of the horn section. Someone did NOT do research before making this video. They did a lot of guessing!!! SMH!!! This video needs to be removed. It's all wrong.
Metal head here. How can you like music and not love Earth Wind & Fire? You can’t , it’s impossible. Now the negative but true statement. Such an important band in music history, and showing who has passed, you couldn’t take 20 bucks and have a human being do the narration? I’ve never wanted to BOOT UP a computer so bad, after hearing it say the name of the band. Philip Bailey is still Living, and you show a picture of him. Thank you for putting this together & Sharing.
