I loved this recipe. I just tried it, baked earlier and all cooled down now. I used all purposed flour because there’s no cake flour here. So I added 1tsp of baking powder instead of 1/2. I had problems with the glaze. It tasted good, tho I used normal buttermilk and It curdled, my only guess it’s the reaction with the lemon juice. It tasted good again, but it didn’t look nice 😅 The cake itself was incredible good 🤩 thank you!

Depending on where are you're located, you can try searching for Shipton Mills soft cake and pastry flour, or any flour that has a protein content of 9% or less will work too!

Yep you can use 2 Tbsp of real buttermilk, and add an extra 1/4 cup (1 ounce) of powdered sugar :)

Warming the eggs with water is a good idea👍 I asked my wife to hold cold eggs for a while to warm them up. It took time but worked fine😅

AP flour will work, it’ll just be a little softer with cake flour 😊
You can use it. Put 2 TBSP cornstarch in 1 cup measure, then top with flour.
