Hi Mate. I appreciate these vids. Even though most of us fishos know these tips, it's good to see someone online helping the newer fishos learn the "trade"..
As someone who lives on the central coast of Nsw I'd appreciate a video of times specific species fire in Southern QLD. I'd like to plan a trip either Northern NSW, or Sth east QLD in the near future targeting Mack's, specifically Spottys or Spanish and would appreciate a rough timeline to head up and have a crack so the trips not wasted.
Even a Video about Pelagics and when certain species move in closer and can be targeted by smaller boats.
Also, if you're ever down this way I'd be happy to take you on the Hawkesbury chasing Jew.
    Cheers..🤘

Hi Troy, If you are looking to chase some Mackerel in SE Queensland the Spotted Mackerel usually show up around mid to late December with the odd Spanish. I usually start chasing Spanish early in the new year right up to March and the closer to March the better, the numbers drop off but the size of the fish are much bigger. I will do a small boat pelagic video soon for SE Qld and
thanks for the offer to fish the Hawkesbury I might take you up on that one day.

@@Aussie-Fishing Cheers for that information mate.. I'm heading upto the North Coast of NSW in Late September for a look to see what's about. Then I'll definitely book in a trip for Late February or even March as you suggested.
Whenever you're down my way feel free to hit me up for a trip. 👍

What size rod reel set up would you suggest with this. I'm guessing the more time in the water getting the fish to the surface to more chance of being sharked.

I have never been sharked doing this. Electric reels is usually the go but a big spin reel or overhead will do the job with 80 pound braid.

Thanks for the info about the crimp swivels BK I have not had this problem as I have not caught a lot of Kingfish with this rig. Good info to know thanks mate.

@@Aussie-Fishing in this instance could you put a crimp above and below the crimp swivel ( but not crimp the swivel), so any fish has free reign to do laps and not twist up the main leader line.
