My Story
My name is Noah and on May 18 2011, I had a rare reaction to a medication called VIVITROL and consequently, spiraled into a suicidal depression with depersonalization and anxiety. I lost 25 lbs in 4 weeks and was in full panic or near panic for 8 weeks straight mixed with the darkest most painful depression I cold have ever imagined. I immediately could not work and had to move in with my parents who, along with many siblings and friends, had to watch me 24/7 as I was a danger to myself. Eventually I was hospitalized in the Psych Ward for a week. Getting through each day seemed truly unbearable and I knew I would surely die. I have been put on many many different doctor prescribed SSRI's SNRI's Tricyclics, mood stabilizers, anti-psychotics, holistic meds, acupuncture and even a form of shock therapy called RTMS. I barely saw any improvement in my condition for a full year. It was decided I had treatment resistant depression and I spent nearly every moment in tears. Weeks after starting my newest round of medications (Seroquel & Nortryptaline) as a last ditch effort, I had my blood drawn for possible hormone imbalances and my Testosterone levels came back 200 ng/Dl and 150 ng/Dl. The average 25 year old male has 750 ng/Dl. With this discovery I had an explanation as to why I was not getting better and why I might be so so sick. The symptoms of Low T are very similar to those of major depression. I started legally prescribed testosterone replacement therapy soon after and have been checking in with the world and documenting my experience with treatment as well as giving my insight and perspective on various topics of mental health. I am blessed to say that I have slowly, over the last 6 years, been improving and becoming more stable which I never thought to be possible. My low T manifested itself in the form of Major depression, anxiety, and depersonalization/ derealization for over a year. Treating my low testosterone has been 1 HUGE part of the puzzle but I have had to continue to work hard to hold on to my mental stability with many set backs. Gaining some mental stability back is nothing short of a miracle as I was near death for what felt like forever. I do not consider myself to be totally healed yet but I am closer now then ever before and aim to use what I have been through to help or at least offer support to others in need I was able to successfully come off my Seroquel and Pamelor.
I work out all the time as a part of my mental health recovery!!! Weight training and all kinds of cardio rule much of my free time and I also share this on my channel.

I use HCG 250iu twice a week w my trt. You will have better well being and emotional support. Don't listen to anyone that says it doesn't. You'll notice it. Not to mention your boys will come back to fairly normal look.

Ohhh I called it on your last vid! You have to keep us posted. I am not a doctor, however everything I have read states that once you start you will be on it for the rest of your life. Because if you stop, your test will be as low as it was before you started. Goodluck Noah!

The hcg is a great idea, ( hcg, AI and test are 1 of the standard protocols ) but I wouldn’t come off the TRT ever.. if you come off your levels will drop, without question. Also I think once you make the decision to start TRT or your thinking about starting TRT , you should be prepared and willing to remain on the treatment for the rest of your life... ( just my opinion )

How do you do it every 3 and half days?
Hcg you have to inject in the morning because its toxic,and if u are in bad luck to have a tumor it will spread fast because it fuels cancer cells.

I need to try it because of fertility and atrophy, but nervous about it. I cannot find follow up videos by you after use and how it works for you. Are they out there?

glad to hear, 250 units HCG twice a week is what I'm at, although I split and mix my testosterone dosage of 80 mg/week with those monday/thursday shots rotating sites on my quads(using 30 gauge 1/2 inch needle, draw 20 units testosterone first, then 25 units HCG for 55 units total per shot). testosterone and free testosterone numbers seem ok, although I'm going off 0.25 mg AI/adex twice a week because my estrogen level was less than 10 and I'd like to try to get it between 20-30. Good luck with the baby making - I didn't know anything about TRT in 2005 and wife and I tried unsuccessfully for several years until plunking down 40k for IVF which gave us our wonderful daughter in 2010. Wondering if I knew then what I know now about TRT or had a doctor as helpful and knowledgable as Dr. Zelfand whether I might have been able to avoid that expensive route.
Curious what the doctor has to say about optimal estrogen levels, some say 20-30 is optimal range while others say it should be in a range of total testosterone divided by 14 to 20. Also curious about when reconstituting HCG from concentrate using bacteriostatic water whether the concentration matters, as I'd prefer minimizing the volume fluid of my shots.
Also curious to see how you might progress switching levels between HCG and testosterone, I didn't get a FSH/LH baseline before starting TRT so don't know the extent to which my low-T is primary or secondary and would like to try diminishing my testosterone dose and testing levels to try to determine how my levels are effected by testosterone vs HCG. Thanks again to you and doc for the great informational videos, great service to the rest of us without such helpful local medical advice.

Also, maybe you will feel bad on it. Not everyone feel the benefits of hcg. Keep that in mind. My e2 goes up and I got bloat and feel very bad also lose my erections even on 250IU of hcg 2x week. It's not for me. Keep that in mind and good luck

Hcg doesnt work well for me. I get bad acne, high estrogen symptoms, bloated. And its too hard to find the right ai dosage to take.

Thank you for the videos. I have searched and can't seem to find any information on this topic. So I thought I would throw it out here.
Have been on TRT for two and half years. Eight pumps is androgel a day. Total falls close to normal 500 but free lags in the low range 5.6. Can find no information on how to increase free or how each treatment compared with free levels. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

My doctor wouldn’t add HCG when I asked. He said he could switch me to Clomid only instead. If I do that I guess I find out if I’m primary or not. Even if primary I think he still won’t add HCG to my protocol.

please I need your advice on something. I started hrt or trt and I started with taking hcg 200ui a day with an estrogen blocker but I never got any testosterone and I feel like my testosterone levels have gotten worse from what I think I feel more tired and sluggish symptoms of adrinal fatigue I'm also on madafinil but again I never got the testosterone shot because I can't afford it and now I feel like a complete idiot because now my boys have shrunk because I didn't start a cycle and I never got post cycle therapy so please tell me what to do I have no hcg left or any of the estrogen blocker left please if anyone has any advice on a vitamin supplement I can try or some form of emergency clinic I live in florida near orange park I can't find a job I have no ged and Im also a felon from adverse effects of long term use of focusing meds that caused depression and psychosis then in which I had to take mood stabilizers but then I gained over 140 pounds and boobs on rhisberdone so I went cold turkey nearly had a seizure durring withdrawal and then committed a felony so please if you have any advice for a 21 year old with no money no education and no job and little to no transportation please please please don't hesitate to give advice I'm a huge fan of this channel now that I have discovered it

you can gry HCG 5000ui for 25 so you got this for 10 weeks if you use 500ui a week you also need 2x test shots so you can do both Monday and Thursday 70mg test 250ui HCG simple shit go to doctor after 3 months with blood work

I am 36, I had my testosterone checked 6 months ago 338, then 6 months later it was 167. Then checked again right after, 339. But my LH and FSH was on a very low range but with in range. And my red blood count was low 😐 wth..
Testosterone produces red blood cells. Cut out alcohol (if u drink) train and try something like ultra male rx. Always speak to your doctor first though.
My question: the duration of HCG, on,off and on again cycle would it be necessary to take clomid or a different compound of like properties

Noah can you help me....I'm 23 I went to the doctors to get my testosterone levels checked...I'm at 15.3nmol/L which equals to around 445 on the range. I'm low normal despite living a healthy lifestyle (no drinking/smoking, exercise reguarly). I was suffering from erectyle dysfunction/Loss of sex drive/loss of strength/muscle/dramatic weight loss/anxiety/depression. She put me on Fluvoxamine...which is primarily designed to treat OCD depression/anxiety...2 days on the drug...I cannot achieve an orgasm from watching porn...this is a common side effect for this drug. What do I do?

Why in the world didn't you start HCG therapy from the very beginning. It's mandatory for the TRT protocol along with an estrogen blocker...
His original protocol from his PCP was average AF. 200mg every fortnight with no AI. So i'm not surprised he didn't know about HCG
my boyfriend was on testosterone for 6 months (low testosterone 280). after 6 months the shots just didn't help at all anymore. had his estrogen levels checked & the were high compared to his t levels.. got referral for new doc because old doc wouldn't add aromatese.. new doc was an ass.. saying you just don't get low testosterone for no reason... would not do anything without us running around to a bunch of other places (sleep clinic MRI, ect..) to find the "cause" of his low testosterone.. we are so frustrated... don't know where to turn.. if you have advice, it would be highly appreciated
Keep trying different doctors. Doesn't matter what country you are in, even specialists in this field are hit and miss. Finding a good one is rare.

What's the purpose of TRT? Why not just go straight to hCG and "wake things up down there" (to produce your own testosterone) to begin with? (There are studies about this. Annoying that doctors don't go this route unless you ask?)

Where is she located? My normal doctor I feel isn't helping me at all. I started TRT over a year ago and I just don't feel different. I don't feel I'm at my potential greatness I still don't have the energy I thought I would have. I have started taking anastrozole because I have a friend who's taking it. My Dr just gave it to me with out checking my estrogen levels. I'm just at my wits end. I would love to have a Doc who actually can find out what's wrong. Checked her website just not sure yet where she's practicing in the US.

Shouldn't HCG be a consideration from the beginning? As well as an AI? Just got my lab results back and will be discussing this with my doc... I'm at 154 ng/dl total T... which is quite low obviously.
J. Allen I needed an AI when I first started. Use DIM maybe once a week now. If that. Need for AI is subjective, big time. Plus you don't want to take if you really don't need.
RabidDog I was thinking that an AI would be useful until the dosages are dialed in. I already have a large chest, def don't need any gyno situation to deal with as well.
Less effective dose should be how you approach adding any compounds to your stack. Only add once you determine they are needed based on your blood work because there are men who don’t have a lot of aromatization and also men who’s FSH/LH levels don’t drop to 0 while on TRT
My doctor take testosterone injection 1 year since and happen my blood test lab and Dr told me my iron is high level come from testosterone side effect.

Do a sperm analysis and don’t assume u are the issue, many bodybuilders have kids with a lot more drugs than just TRT, go to a dr and take your partner to a dr and check your LH and FSH. You don’t have to get off u less your numbers are really zero

Treat the numbers, not the patient. The patient is too prone to placebo, misattribution, psychosomaticism, user bias, and a whole host of our confounding issues.
Or just read the forums, buy Chinese home brew, blast and cruise and let the mirror be your guide. I usually cycle the two strategies to get the body and mind guessing.
