It's actually the opposite what you said about Eren, he is shown to be frustrated for not being stronger and the one to protect Mikasa instead of her always saving him I'm saying this because it's pretty important to his character and it's better to clear this misunderstanding early on
I felt the same with Shirlay too when I first watched this series. Despite all the gory stuff that I have overcomed after watching the whole season 1, the soldier’s desperate plead as he was being torn to pieces and eaten made me literally upset my stomach to the point that I couldn’t eat supper that day (cause I watch it in the afternoon). I really wanted to watch through all the seasons cause I was so intrigued and hooked by the plot but I had to drop it cause it triggered my panic attack. After a few years, I decided to pick it up back again with the resolve of muting the depressing part only just so my curiosity about this show is satisfied. Anyways, great reaction! I guess you not only have to steel your nerves but you also need to train your stomach going forward! Love you guys!!!

You know if you actually follow the timeline everything happens SO quickly. Like they are dealing with titans in wall Rose as Annie is getting taken down. The 57th expedition must of just happened and now all this other stuff is going on.
I watched aot blind a few months ago and holy moly this scene where it spoke startled the HELL out of me. It was a one last episode before bed kinda thing. Gosh this scared me. Subbed btw :)
I just have small advice (I don't think it spoils anything but commenters please let me know if I should delete this) pay attention to the words/terms the characters use in this season. It will really help you follow the plot later on easier.
I've seen the show over ten times, know every bit of foreshadowing/symbolism, and have no idea what you're talking about lol Except that paying attention to every detail is definitely good advice in general where this show is concerned
I don't know if I'd call that a spoiler but I think they'll follow the plot regardless of whether or not they miss the foreshadowing. I watched the dub where they sort of took away some of the foreshadowing and to me it just made the big reveal of this season even more surprising. But I never struggled to follow the plot.

Therefore it's highly unlikely Jean was working with Annie 2. Jean looks most like eren, therefor was the best candidate to disquise like eren
I see that ombre upper lip again!! Love that look. If that is your natural lip colour then.. I'm sorry I'm dumb lol I thought it's lipstick still. Also so excited you guys are into season 2. So excited for you to experience this season. My favourite is still season 3 part 2 or season 4 part 1, but season 2 has solid moments.
