Finally getting around to tuning my 2019 SQ5 Prestige. Just waiting for the TGK lowering links - already ordered before seeing this vid, but confirms I made the right choice. Planning on only going Stage 1 and new wheels. Any more specific recs without breaking the bank would be super appreciated. Cheers!
Stage 1 tune on the SQ5 is definitely a game changer. The TGK links are what I ran on the Pink SQ5 and they have ample adjustment and great bang for your buck! Look into the 034 intake and inlet if you are doing the Stage 1 tune, it’ll make a world of difference, and some light weight wheels always help
@@TheCarClubTX very cool! I went with the IE air intake just to be consistent with my tune platform. May not matter but hey, still appreciate the rec. damn, though, wheels can get pricey fast!
I like how you're sitting on the lowering links! I went with TGK on mines too but I'm still trying to figure out the right adjustment. You remember or did you write down the measured length of your links in the front and rear?
Hey Tim! Thank you! I honestly am not 100% sure the length they are set at. Initially lowered it via the OEM computers and then installed the TGK’s after. The lowering links were installed on an alignment rack and basically eyeballed until the ride height was set to what I liked. I know they can go lower, but the car can’t hahaha. In dynamic mode it almost sits on the tires, almost un-driveable, super stiff and bouncey that low. I love it, but not for everyone lol
25k miles on stage 1 with no issues, Stage 1 is a minor tune and haven’t heard of long term problems occurring just being stage 1 flashed. 91 is minimum needed. Some tuners have E85 and E40 files you can use but that is tuner specific. This particular one has an E40 blend option which significantly increases power but not something to be used normally.
@@TheCarClubTX thank you, this is an amazing video, for the forums I see a lot of B9’s either chewing up rockers or having to overcome cooling, and fueling shortages with the stage 2’s. Good to know stage 1’s are still in the green.
Congrats on the SQ5! No time needed for an intake, only required when doing a downpipe. You can do exhaust, intake, turbo inlet and not have to tune anything
@@TheCarClubTX thank you sir. I love it. Been wanting one for a while. Traded in my 16’ S3 and wow this one is so much faster 😂. I don’t think it needs a tune really but like why not 🤷♂️😂
Can’t go wrong with an S3 either! I used to have a 2016 S3 in Merlin Purple once upon a time. The SQ5 has the best of both worlds, great power, handling, space, and overall fun to drive. A tune is always a good idea 😂. The extra 100+HP is never a bad thing
@@TheCarClubTX thanks for all the help. It only has 25k miles so I rather put all the fun stuff on it now rather than later. I always wanted to ship my S3 and I never did it because of the high mileage. But I’m only about 20 minutes away from 034 motorsports so I kinda want to set something up with them and even do the suspension package with the sway bars in the end links. Maybe one day 😂
@@TheCarClubTX I've been On EPL just over a year. If you just purchased it I would think they would have given you a refund. I heard they were doing that for some people. But I agree if I had known I would have gone with 034
We actually tried and had no response from them on the refund. Really sucked because the 2021 SQ5 still basically has an early semi beta tune. 034 will be coming up soon for both
1st drag, the purple Sq5 was sleeping, second drag, he launched before saying 3...hahahah
Exactly! Not to mention, a stock B9 SQ5 is 5.1 seconds 0-60, and B9.5 is 4.7 seconds due to shorter gearing in gears 1-5.

What part of Texas y’all in? I’m in San Antonio. B9 sq5 owner with a few mods
We are up in the north DFW region
Great shots at the end. Berry Nice!! 👌
Thank you! 👍
Are those the Oem exhaust tips on the 2021?
Yes those are the optional OEM sport exhaust tips
Any long term issues stage 1? Does it need more than 91, or does that work?

Is the intake required for stage 1? I just picked up my 22’ sq5 today and I want a tune
No it's not required

3:49 You started almost a second late...
Where is your RS6 ?
RS6 is still around and running strong. Waiting on a new exhaust at the moment
Im EPL on my S4. unfortunate they went out of business last year.
They shut down about 3 months after tuning these cars. Looking back wish we jumped to 034 at first lol

I have a 2018 sq5 prestige. I'm in Mckinney. Let's meet up!
Heck yeah ! Send us a DM on our Instagram and we can work that out 👍👊
got the same, but in Ukraine 💀
Same but Virginia
TCU tune at all?
The 2020 has TCU tune, the 2021 only has an ECU flash
whats up with that god awful rattle on the dark red one
Pretty sure the rattle was the GoPro mount being terrible
You need a makeover.
