I took my wife's SQ5 just to prove how insane the 3.0T engine is with just supporting bolt on's, hybrid turbo, and E70 in the tank. At the same time I had to prove how reliable it is. What better timing than @034motorsport hosting their own private drag day event? I figured a 1,500 mile round trip would easily prove the reliability of this platform! Even me being on a competitor's software, the 034 team was more than glad to have me join them. I quickly packed up all my drag equipment and immediately drove from Seattle, WA to Sacramento, CA. Keep in mind all of this happened within the period of two days! Watch all the way until the end to find out which TWO cars set 1/4 mile WORLD RECORDS.

Typically, when a company is mature, they act like grown-ups and pay each other the deserved respect imo🤷♂️
There was definitely negotiation that had to take place, but yes they were extremely kind to have me come to their private drag day event on a competitor tune.
I am running a TON of their hardware so it helped the cause. Nick, Javad, Nate, and Sean were all very cordial and treated me with the upmost respect. Drag racing comes down to just cars enthusiasts going fast instead of someone vs someone.

Go for a 2019 and up if you can, the only thing going bad with them right now is in some (2018), with the rocker arms failures and some owners are reporting thermostat failures also but that's it, i have a 2018 s5 (stage 2) no problems so far

I’m honestly not sure. I think 034 will be releasing more information about that car soon!
Why the removal of the sway bars this run man? And any times on the FBO S4?
The 034 upgraded sway bars are actually twice as heavy as the stock ones. Obviously they are meant to stiffen the car up on corners. I figured a little more weight reduction was worth it? But honestly it wasn’t. Not worth the work.

All these cars have aftermarket turbos right? New Q5 owner here.
The RS5, one B9 S4 (that I didn’t show) and my SQ5 had hybrid aftermarket turbos.
What are those wheel specs? I didn't think any 17" wheels could fit over our front calipers?!
I’ll have to do a video over my entire setup sometime in detail.
FC04’s 10x8.5 will fit without any issues. They are 16lbs each which is insanely light but also they will fit with just using 10mm spacers on the front.

Yup I’m on KW V3’s as good as it gets man! And they are actually dialed in now for drag racing. I just hope I don’t break my axles from all that power transfer
Any Idea the times on the s4 running stage 2 plus e85?
I can’t remember to be honest, and the footage I had was a little too grainy to even tell.
It was running 11.2s around 122mph all day long, full weight and stock suspension!
Are all the 3.0tfsi's on a stock motor or are there any forged internals?
How the hell are these engines able to maintain that much power if they're stock?
Only the crank is forged. Everything else is very weak tbh. Valve train barely holding on. Rods and pistons are only rated for 600whp yet these engines reliably put down upwards of 700whp and 650wtq on basically stock fueling and a hybrid turbo . No idea. Insane. I have 35k miles on mine with hundreds of launches and pulls, drag racing, roll racing, hard street driving all on e60-E70. Roars like a lion.

You have a 2.0T in there and IE supports it up to stage 3. They have hardware and tuning available. Currently they are running a 20% sale so perfect time to get started and save some money. You can additionally use my code: NEED4BUILT save yourself a tiny bit more money.
Start with a stage 1 ecu/tcu tune, IE intake, and Intercooler from them.
New to your channel, just bought a 2021 SQ5. Will be tuning it soon. Question, have any of these cars on this video had work done on the transmissions? Or are they using the stock internals?

Great vid! Just purchased a 2021 SQ5 and looking for a tune this spring. What do you recommend? Coming from a B8.5 S5 with an Stage 2 APR tune.
I recommend staying away from APR or really anything else besides IE or 034. There’s a TON of tuning potential for these cars and only a handle of calibration engineers who actually know how to tune them for safety reliability and pure power. Both companies have catalogs for these B9’s and I suggest you check them out. Their tunes and hardware will transform your car into a beast!

Thank you! Yeah I am. IE recommends just the stock plugs and coils. I just put new ones in to keep the car happy.

I'm still only stage 2+ E85 but the SQ5 still moves well with that. Gonna see how the Pure 750 does with tuning as well before settling on a hybrid.
@@dom_says Stage 2+ is definitely a monster but the pure750 is no joke. I think the 750 and 810 will be one to one in performance with 034’s tuning💪🏼

have a 19 RS5 but thinking about getting a new SQ5 and doing a 91 octane stage 2 from 034 because i need a "family car". Would that combo hold up well in your experience? I'd like to daily it.
The RS5 is an awesome car don't me wrong, BUT the SQ5 is a winner overall. You can pick up groceries and then run 10.5's in the 1/4 mile on the street. Its versatile and just has as much power potential plus the space is just a bonus. Stage 2+ would be the way to go for you! SQ5 is my suggestion.

@Need4Built I could work a little harder this year and get her the sq5 and I'll get an older s4 and tune it and leave the wife's alone. She drives an Acura TL that I lowered a bit and did a muffler delete. She wasn't too happy, to say the least lol.

The B9 S4 that was in testing? No I didn’t mention it because 034 asked me to keep the numbers it ran secret at the time this video was released as that car was in an early development stages and didn’t have much modifications on it at all in the first place.
I do think it’s hilarious that an SUV did 10.1 seconds while a sedan did 10.0. I think it’s insane, and I’ll be in the 9’s here running as good of numbers as any S4. At the same time you can’t compare an SUV to a sports sedan buddy.

Hey man what motor is better for tuning, the Audi S5 B9.5 with the 3.0T or the Audi RS5 with the 2.9TT ?
The 3.0T will come out to be on top but the RS5 is no slouch however!

That sq5 is also “literally” faster then 99% of s4/s5/rs5 cars so why not be proud of it. Always two ways of looking at things, but you’re a glass half empty kinda guy, we get it.
