Haha, I dunno about that...tis just another homage...but I appreciate it. As for the strap shows....they aren't going anywhere....literally, rain or shine. They'll be in there 👍
I have had one for about a week. Overall it is a great piece. To my eye the hour hand is a little short and minute hand is a little narrow. The second hand is perfect.
Thanks for the review. This is perfect got me with the drilled lugs, 6 o'clock date and on the fly and milsub looks. That mesh really suits it!! I told myself I was done with divers but this one is just so good looking. The thing that ruined it is that single coat of AR making it blue
The glare off the sapphire is terrible, otherwise looks pretty good, white lines a bit too wide for me. Bezel cuts look great. Case and band decent. The blue AR is a bit strange honestly. Thank you for showing it on various straps. It appears to be a good value overall, thanks for sharing and enjoy it.
WatchDives had released Version 2 with Clear AR, on a less distorted sapphire dome, better lug shape but took away the drill thru lug holes. The bezel relief from the case sides are now wider alongside with the scallops and closer to the historic sm300 military now in that respect.
Very nice watch. Love the blue AR coating, love the deep black dial, the chanfers lugs, this is a interesting watch. Shiny, catch the eye. Whith a shark mesh bracelet fir example, I'm think this is a terrific watch. Thanks a lot fir the excelent revue as usual. Kind regards.
I was happy to see that you had a review for this watch. I usually dislike a conspicuous blue AR coating but it doesn’t bother me that much on this watch. It goes with the watch as do all your straps (my favorite: the electric blue NATO) Good video as usual.
I'm kind of surprised Helson didn't trade mark "Sharkmaster" but OceanX also uses the name, because that's not confusing at all! This is actually a really nice homage offering of an iconic Seamaster.
I think helson copied "sharkmaster" from the dime a dozen micro brands that popped up every where in the late 2000's. If it wasn't named a "sharkmaster" it was "sharkhunter" then... It got pretty cheesy back then.
I was waiting for an hommage to the myth Seamaster milspec. (other than the helson that I can't find). I own the Omega Peter Blake 2254 which is already highly inspired by the old military seamaster. So I ordered this one immediately when it was released. It's just awesome for the price. I just miss the big triangle from the original one. But the watch is great, wears great, bracelet with fine adjustment clasp; an awesome watch for the price (I chose the no date version).
Watchdives is friggin incredible! I messed up an order , i sent only an email, they corrected my order and refunded me the difference, shipped the correct watch . They shipped on Jan. 10th from China and I had my San Martin 0116 on the 12th Ft Myers Fl ! 2 days from China to Florida , are you kidding me ?
I have two watchdives, first one is the WD1680 Milsub, 2nd is the San Martin X 1957 homage (white indices), I will get this one for sure but with the no date.
I bought this watch just before the sales. Good for those looking for a 39mm version of this classic design... But I should have waited till sales for this price!
Your B Rolls are looking better every time. 👍🏼 If this watch was available when I bought my SM 121G, I probably would have gotten this because as far as I can tell it’s not a 1:1 Homage of anything. This might be the best value Ali Diver on sale today. Looking forward to the Yema review! (Edit). So apparently this is an Omega Homage. Still awesome though. Thanks!
This is on sale right now for $165. I'm only hesitant because I usually won't get anything under 40mm. Seems to fit you well though with a 7.5 inch wrist. Looks amazing and love the dial.
I'm glad they didn't use fake patina lume. Clear AR would be better by far. Something seems a bit off about the chamfers to the case lugs, I can't put a finger on it but its not quite a 165.024? Seestern was supposedly going to make a 165.024, I think I'll wait and see if they do or if there is a v2 of this.
I can see how the blue AR coating could be off putting to some but I love it. Almost like having two different watches, depending on the light. I agree that the side case and chamfers are not quite right.
@@mikebufalry8824 I enjoy the blue on a few of my watches but I think on this model it is a mistake on their part. I believe it detracts from the vintage look a bit too much for most people.
It's beautiful although I prefer a thinner watch, and the blue AR is sort of cool, but the interference of the bezel and the crown is a definite flaw, really unforgivable in my opinion. It would be like buying a beautiful sweater with a small stain on it. Otherwise I would have bought the black one with the date at the 6 position.
The only gripe for me on this one is the blue AR. With the black dial, clear AR would probably look better. If they do have a blue dial coming, this blue AR would be killer with it! Overall looks like a good value for money. Thanks for the review!
You read my mind on the Domed crystal. Tks. I have the 1680 blue dial. I love it! Best lume BGW9 and charges with blacklisted will glow for 12 hours plus. No kidding. Drilled through lug holes, noice. Arrowed seconds hand, sweet. Date at 6, too cool! WoW!
Good review, as usual. Would always be good, for any watch, since you're doing bracelet/strap swaps, if you could make even the briefest mention about the spring-bars, especially for divers. Thickness, quality, etc. It's just one more indication to me of the seriousness with which a brand takes quality. On blue AR coating, I don't get at all, assuming that the cost is the same, why any watch brand would choose a crystal with blue coating, especially one with such glaringly blue coating, over clear.
Looks nice but I'm already leery of that pointy ends of the lugs. Also, not a fan of the horizontal brushing, it's a bit too coarse to my eye to be called "90% of San Martin's brushing."
Well I’ve had it for a while I like it more all the time. I had no idea it was a homage until I saw the Helson… For the coin, I love this watch. NOW they just need one with a big triangle at the 12 and I buy another one
I went with the Hruodland version of the SM300. It looks closer to the actual watch, to me. I'll get a V2 version of the watchdives, if they fix some of the issues.
Dude is nice. Cool retro Omega style dial. Like the vintage aesthetic... Nice color matched 6 o'clock date window. Nice bezel action. Gargantuan size logo! A lot, a lot of 'flecto in bright light... Would prefer a matte finish bezel. Very, very blue AR coating... Weak lume on the indiciee. Almost 14mm.... Seems a little excessive. Nice tall crystal though.... The maybe it's not that bad. Should be able to shave a mm off though. could use a display of color... Even just on a line of text. The beads of rice bracelet that would really suits for the vintage aesthetic. Thanks for the review
The bracelet sort of kills it. This could have been much better with one of those flat link bracelets with polished outers and brushed inners, though that may be unpopular.
No. Watchdives will commission San Martin to make certain watches, those watches have the San Martin branding and are sold "only" on watchdives.com (some Ali retailers have access to their stock). Watchdives branded watches are made by watchdives and not San Martin.
Even with Sterile dials they still plaster that horrible logo on the clasp and crown ect.. Why do some of these brands, usually the best quality ones like San Martin and now Watch Dives insist on ruining these amazing watches with these terrible looking eye sore Toy Company esque logos plastered everywhere??
It looks like a gas station watch If you don't have branding on it, I know it's subjective, but you are dead wrong. Imagine a Rolex without the crown on the dial, no way give me branding.
Nobody is against branding, just dont make it look like the logo of a toy company or a comic book magazine :) No way you just compared to Rolex logo to Watchdives.. @@RJtoon1
watchdives and SM are amazing build quality and loaded with features
I love the blue anti-reflective. It kind of makes the watch look more expensive and add some colour to it
I find this watch much more interesting than JOMW's Erebus Origin.
The strap combinations section is awesome. Keep doing it. ❤
Watchdives filled a gap on the homage market. Thanks for the strap show; it loves the blue straps.
Thanks for the review. This is perfect got me with the drilled lugs, 6 o'clock date and on the fly and milsub looks.

At least it's AR coated.
WatchDives had released Version 2 with Clear AR, on a less distorted sapphire dome, better lug shape but took away the drill thru lug holes. The bezel relief from the case sides are now wider alongside with the scallops and closer to the historic sm300 military now in that respect.
Wow! A vintage Omega Seamaster 300 "homage"! Thanks for reviewing this one!
I think it looks pretty bad ass, and for the price even better. I don't think I will ever look at the Sinn 556 with the same desire...lol
Good to know it comes in different configurations.
Now we just need more colors! Thanks for watching 🤜🤛
I was happy to see that you had a review for this watch. I usually dislike a conspicuous blue AR coating but it doesn’t bother me that much on this watch. It goes with the watch as do all your straps (my favorite: the electric blue NATO) Good video as usual.
Thanks man, I appreciate the kind words 🙏
The fact that the numbers on the bezel and dial are so similar but not the same just sets off my ocd!
I'm kind of surprised Helson didn't trade mark "Sharkmaster" but OceanX also uses the name, because that's not confusing at all! This is actually a really nice homage offering of an iconic Seamaster.
Used to own the Seamaster, but this looks better for sure!
I think helson copied "sharkmaster" from the dime a dozen micro brands that popped up every where in the late 2000's. If it wasn't named a "sharkmaster" it was "sharkhunter" then... It got pretty cheesy back then.
There is no such thing “trademark” in the chinese market LOL
I was waiting for an hommage to the myth Seamaster milspec. (other than the helson that I can't find). I own the Omega Peter Blake 2254 which is already highly inspired by the old military seamaster.

Yeah, they are one of the better retailers out there... Great guys, too. Just some watch nerds like the rest of us
Good looking small watch. I'm glad it's this small cause I definitely don't need another watch. Great review, thank you.
Hahaha. Thanks for the compliments and the view. 😂
I have two watchdives, first one is the WD1680 Milsub, 2nd is the San Martin X 1957 homage (white indices), I will get this one for sure but with the no date.
Is so beautyful watch, thanks for the review, you filming techniques are amazing
Great review Steve. Fantastic watch for $155. Really, what else can you ask for at this price? I really like it 👍
Exactly! Can't really complain at a price like that. Thank for watching! 🙏
I bought this watch just before the sales. Good for those looking for a 39mm version of this classic design... But I should have waited till sales for this price!

Thank you. It definitely does wear pretty small. Small dial, big bezel. Wears true to it's size.
Blue, no date, no logo Steve.😎👍🏼
A lot of watch for the money, and I love the strong blue AR coating
Saludos de Cristobal de Rastro Iguana Una reseña impresionante😊😊😊😊
That is some vintage milspec seamaster vibes!!
You got it 👍. Thank for watching!

The lugs aren’t chunky enough
They had released Version 2 with Clear AR, better lugs chamfers but took away the drilled thru lug holes. A version with aged lume was also released.

Another great review. I maybe want one with out the iffy logo. Vintage lume too, could seal the deal. Great lug to lug
The only gripe for me on this one is the blue AR. With the black dial, clear AR would probably look better. If they do have a blue dial coming, this blue AR would be killer with it! Overall looks like a good value for money. Thanks for the review!
Agree on all fronts. Thanks for watching!
A a blue dial version is incoming.

Nice hommage but this blue AR coating is a no no for me. The thickness at 14mm is too much vs the 39mm diameter. Waiting for a V2.
I just got my no-date sterile dial. It is GREAT!
That's kind of the one I wish I got. Enjoy it! And thanks for watching!
Well I’ve had it for a while I like it more all the time.
I had no idea it was a homage until I saw the Helson…
For the coin, I love this watch.
NOW they just need one with a big triangle at the 12 and I buy another one
waiting for the big triangle variant!
Same here...I may swap for it
I just ordered triangle one. So nice and simple looking
Look out ladies at the Local Bar! New watch in town!
I went with the Hruodland version of the SM300. It looks closer to the actual watch, to me. I'll get a V2 version of the watchdives, if they fix some of the issues.
It does look good but a little larger than I'd like, and mineral. Should be a nice watch, though. Enjoy it!
Oh I guess you did address the Crown wobble on this OK I've never seen another reviewer do that ha ha yeah beautiful watch
Nice review, but have to agree, that blue ar coating is too much. Maybe version 2 will address that.
Amazing review
Thank you 🤜🤛
This or the SN0111GA? I can get them for same amount of money.
Minute had feeling a bit insecure right now - lacking some girth
But do they have a back cover tool for a coin edge cover like that?
Yeah, you can find generic Rolex caseback tools for like $15. I typically just use a ball of duct tape
Dude is nice. Cool retro Omega style dial. Like the vintage aesthetic... Nice color matched 6 o'clock date window. Nice bezel action.

Would be very unpopular. I like the bracelet, but yeah, something other than a normal oyster bracelet would have been nice.
Logo reminds me of Harley Davidson’s logo too much.
Lol. I can definitely see that
Tag Heuer
Is watchdives owned by san martin? This seems to be a san martin in its execution
No. Watchdives will commission San Martin to make certain watches, those watches have the San Martin branding and are sold "only" on watchdives.com (some Ali retailers have access to their stock). Watchdives branded watches are made by watchdives and not San Martin.
£120 to UK with tax free delivery, wow.

I don't care how great the specs are, if you ruin a watch with stupid branding, you've ruined the watch.
Sterile dials are available

I don't like thi style. Too many white lines.
Lol. Fair enough. I appreciate the watch, though 🤜
