For those that have never been to Detroits riverfront, it has done a massive turn around in the past 20yrs. Prior, if you wanted to take a stroll along the river, you had to go to Canada. Because a majority of Detroit’s riverfront was not accessible to the public. It was mostly abandoned buildings, private parking lots and shuttered factories. I was nothing but a concrete mess. Now it is something to enjoy!

Sections of the USA side look nice especially Belle Island Park but if you walk along the Windsor side you can still see a lot of sections along Detroit's waterfront that are largely industrial or abandoned up towards the bridge.

This Center is for me where Science lives. I know about the way i make a Ford Escort. I need to make a Car to make a Girl live. She likes me, but i don't see her. I lived here more than all my life. Detroit, Michigan is a place where i think about liking Girls, playing Records in a Radio and making Albums. I call them Records. I made a Johnny Gill Record and Carlos Gunn took it. Bye.

For all you "Kumbaya" people....don't let this video give you a false image of Detroit. I grew up in Detroit. It always had it's "high and low" areas. It really was a "melting pot" racially and ethnically. Great American city with a great legacy. But notice the author stays within the Downtown area in daylight. That's where the BS is. That's where the Corporate $$$ is. There's a saying, "You can put lipstick on a pig...but it's still a pig". Years ago the City filed for bankruptcy and you would have to hate your kids if you sent them to Detroit Public Schools. (Which many decades ago was one of the best systems in the country)
Go into ANY of the neighborhoods outside Downtown and it will look literally like a war-ravaged city. I don't even recognize my old neighborhood without feeling shock...and I lived in one of the nicer sections of the City.
There is NO excuse for what Detroit has become....and I've heard all the excuses. Bottomline....it is a Black city that is inhabited & governed by Blacks. They take ultimate ownership of the disgrace that is known as "Detroit".

What killed Detroit is the conservatives running the auto-industry back in the 70s-80s. They were too conservative with new products and designs, and lacked open-mind and innovation which rendered American auto from competing against foreign automakers. Dummies just couldn't make new products and technologies while Japanese and European automakers blew past them. F conservatives!

Indian Village, Palmer Woods, New Center, Boston Edison, Palmer Park, Rosedale and many more great neighborhoods in Detroit. It's far from ravaged, and yes, Detroit has some bad areas, but not all.

But the point is this is one of the parts of the city that has rebounded. It’s beautiful. If the whole city looked as good as Hawaii you would talk about what it looked like 40 years ago. No matter how hard you want to deny it, you can’t deny what’s in this video, right in the city limits of Detroit Michigan. Get outta here with the negativity🤡
