When you’re working with a cake or muffin mix you can add a small amount of flour and a pinch of baking powder to stretch it out and of course if you have eggs it wouldn’t hurt to add an extra egg white or one yolk and of course some extra liquid. With a little mix like the one you showed here, I’d add about 1/8 cup of flour and 1/8 teaspoon baking powder. I figure with any commercial mix, you can stretch it if you have some extra of the basic ingredient.
This is the first budget challenge where actual meat was used, most budget VLOG's are all veggie meals to keep within the budget. You did really well, thank you for sharing xx
Hi I really like your channel. When I make omelettes, I don't flip them. I cook them in a small non stick frypan on low heat with cheese, ham etc and I either put a lid on the frying pan, or if I don't have a lid that fits, I use a metal tray over the top of the frying pan, so the omelette steams. Then it just slides out of the pan, straight onto the plate! Hope that helps :)
I just keep a running list of meals, I can make from my freezers or pantry. Chose what I feel like cooking or someone else has a taste for. Do not have a budget, just don’t buy things that are not on a good sale. Might go to a store if I see a good sale or things I need to complete my meals. Just substitute ingredients or put in on a list to pick up next time I go to a store. I feed 4 adults, sometimes more. Don’t really spend much on good meals.
Omelettes are fiddly. With the omelette, turn the hotplate down to 1/2 and cover the omelette with a glass lid when cooking 🥘😊that way it cooks from top and bottom. When the sides start lifting up and when the eggs are a little bit runny on top, add your cheese and fold, cook on both sides for about a minute each side.
Just started watching your channel this weekend I love that you make things that we would eat and you make them simple thank you so much and love the videos!"😊
Lol...nutrition 😅 my husband is diabetic unfortunately these meal are dangerous 😳. Make affordable meal for our family is impossible with dietary restrictions. Husband diabetic myself and son crohns disease..such a challenge.
Somehow, your math is off. You say you have a family of six, yet you only make four or five breakfasts. Also, I only counted 4 soups for dinner. How does this last a week, when you are using the leftover soup for lunches?

Family of 6, yes, but my husband leaves really early for work and some days I don’t eat breakfast.
