allofdestiny give your relaxed ends a year to revert back. They will, I relaxed my hair before I went natural, it’s been two years and all my curls are there without cutting my hair!
Same 😂🤷🏽♀️
this is nikki anderson
this is Nikki anderson
I never did a big chop or anything I just stopped getting relaxers one day. 😂
Brit Brit yea same here my hair jus went back to natural without me cutting my ends
It’s called breakage 💀💀
@@hibye1553 😂😂
Same well I did get my ends cut ..
Lucky you , my mom cut off most of my hair I looked bald . But after two-three years my hair is close to bra strap length.
people seem to forget that BC & transitioning are two different things 🤦🏾♀️🙄 like calm down Elsa i'll let it go when im ready💁🏾
😂😂👏🏾💯
Just when the year seemed to be over the Millennial Diva swooped in just before closing and won Comment of the year!
periodT
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
LOL 😂😂😂😂
“Where I come from, ppl just kind of do what they want” 🙌🏽 lmfao yes Des
Phylesia Johnson Exactly Right🥰❤️💯
Yesss!!
Amen!!
Your hair look soft, seeing you wash it is relaxing
😂 Yup, I’m weird..
De Sade 😂😂
Would love a natural hair tag with lots of pics from over the years from the three sisters. You all have beautiful hair especially De Sade!! Beautiful sisters, beautiful hair!! My hair is pretty much like what Destiny’s was like, when she was relaxed. Love from the UK xxx
it's not weird that's why a lot of ppl watch wash day routine BC it's relaxing.
The intro: when your brother is a rapper and you’re ready for your feature 😂
I did the same when I transitioned. People think you HAVE to big chop..no you do not and stop telling ppl that they have to cut off all their hair. I literally cut half the length and then got 1 inch cut off every month or so until it was all gone...took about 4/5 months and no one could really tell the difference b/c I was going to the Dominicans at the time and wearing it straight for my transition.
MzzAJD agree, I let mine grow out as well.
You didnt get heat damage?
So when is sulfur 8 going to sponsor Destiny so that she don’t run out of their amazing products that keeps her dandruff and itchy scalp at bay for weeks??? Head and shoulders who?
Yeah um...whether you know it or not you're basically natural now lol. Barely any relaxed ends left. But yes, you cut it when you're ready.
*edit* I "transitioned" the same way. I only had like a few pieces of straight hair in the front. Finished my big chop in 2 seconds. 😂
Lol gonna be shortest upload ever
Me too! I transitioned for roughly 22 months. It real life took 2 seconds. I had like 2 pieces that still had straight ends. Lol.
@@michellefrazier3288 I have no idea how long I transitioned. Back then I didn't know it was a thing and just stopped getting relaxers cause I had a falling out with my friend/stylist. 😂
@@gigglyfitzgirl 😂😂 That's hilarious!
@@michellefrazier3288 It wasn't to me at the time. 😂😭 But now I'm so thankful it happened.
I feel you hunny, I'm transitioning too and people keep telling me to hurry up and do a big chop.
I'm not about to do that until I feel its the right time.
Your hair is beautiful Destiny! I think my hair is a lot like yours. I’ve been natural since 2015. I transitioned the exact same way. I didn’t do a big chop; I just let my my beautician clip my ends when necessary! My beautician specializes in Natural Hair so she was a big help with my transition! You are doing Awesome!❤️
Your curl pattern is so pretty Destiny! 😍 Try drying your hair with a T-shirt also try twist outs & braid outs for length retention.
I had no idea sulfur8 had a shampoo...and you put me on that sulfur8 medicated spray. It has changed my life! My dandruff is terrible! Like corn flakes damn near ..😂
WHAT! they have a medicated spray!?
I'm *NOT* doing the big chop absolutely 🙅🏾♀️🙅🏾♀️🙅🏾♀️ people say I should try and some even insist but hell no
💯💯
Girl you’re so right about deep construction and time... if I just wash and condition my hair before I get braids, it’s gonna shed like crazy... but if I deep condition and moisturize, it barely sheds... I hate being in a rush, timing is everything when it comes to hair care.
When the video starts in the bathroom you already know🙌🏾🙌🏾 hits like button before the video gets started
Know what ??
When I transitioned a major tip I taught myself was to prepoo with a conditioner & detangle & it helps with knots at the demarcation line
Cool lil freestyle in the beginning😂
Lol thanks
Her shampooing clips r soo satisfying😭💛
I was about 0.289 sec from falling asleep 😂😂 but let me fight it 🖤🌹
Girl I feel you on “cutting it whenever”😂 I’m almost 2 years post relaxer and I’m transitioning but wanna grow out my hair a little until I strongly feel like cutting it. Most of my relaxed ends are in the front as they have already broken off in the back😭
U r basically natural😗😗😍😍🌻
Girl you inspired me to try going natural I’m only 4 months post but it’s already a struggle 😩 I remember that song you use to sing about going natural “ you thought I was going natural girl” lol now look at you your hair is so pretty 😍
Iyanna Ali be patient and do what works for you!!! Dont get caught up in youtube trends. Or rules about silicones, sulfates, using grease or whatever
I'm so used to the epic vlogs that I forgot this was a hair channel lol. Nice to know you have an audience for multiple types of content.
I love your curl pattern. My curl pattern is on the lines of Frederick Douglas 😒
TJ Thank you 😊
Lol mine too
When I was transitioning and stretching my hair..my relaxed ends broke from the natural aswell...so your hair just prepping you for the strong NATURAL team.Looks super nice..great job
I have a lot more hair so it might make a difference, but in the shower I split my hair into 4 sections, turn to the side and lean my head into the shower water instead of turning my back to the shower water and leaning the head back and do this for my sections one at a time, from my left side to the right side. That way it ain't all in your face when you pull your head forward. Hope that makes sense and helps. 💙💕💙.
I wash my hair in the sink because washing it in the shower Bothers my OCD doing that and it make my back itch no matter how good I wash it with my back scrubber after ain’t nobody got time for that lol
I watched Dominique video before I watched this video. Hair still looks nice.
I respect your process. Enjoy it. Each one of us that transitioned to natural had our own unique journey. I transitioned for a year and have been natural now for a total of 7 years. Enjoy your process. Your hair looks beautiful!
I couldn't transition my hair was just doing too much it was shedding so much literally half my hair was damaged with you, you could tell that your hair is converting back so well in that transitioning was best for you and you proved that not everybody has to always big chop just know your hair and how it grows
Flow with them bars Destiny I see you! Lol
Hey Destiny, love the new video. Your hair is looking phenomenal! I’ve been rocking my hair natural for 2 years strong!💆🏽♀️ The process can be a headache at times🤦🏽♀️ but the results are so rewarding!🥰
Happy Transitioning!!❤️🤗
I know this video is old...But it has definitely helped me! Thank you!! I've been transitioning for a year now...again, thank you! Please post more videos for the clueless like me!! ❤
It's long destiny 😍😍😍😍. Let's not ignore that growth👏👏👏
1. I’m about 6-7 years natural , I didn’t cut my hair at all. By the time I got a hair cut I was fully natural and was cutting my hair to shape it not to cut off relaxed ends. They were gone sis , there was nothing to cut but split ends 😂
2. I know you said you have always had dandruff issues, I’ve been hearing that rice water helps reduce dandruff. I haven’t tried it myself bcz my dandruff isn’t so bad but just sharing in case you want to research it.
Girl, your curls are popping! I love how you're styling your transitioning hair and I'm glad you're enjoying it!
We have the exact same hair texture so thank you for making this video!! I'm currently transitioning to natural hair and was looking for a wash routine. Your video was very educational. Thank you!!
Great video...you dropped BARZ! Ya curls was popping! BTW transition as long as you want there ways to blend the ends until you do.
Please show us how you did that make up...I'm in love!
Thumbs-up before I watch ❤ 👍 everytime ☺
Glad African Best products works well in your hair.I wouldn't dear put any of it in mine...being that it broke my hair out BADLY one year.
You should try karecare shampoo. It works really good for dandruff!!
Does it? Imma look out for it
Your hair is going to grow so long !!!
I clicked off another video for you!!!! Commenting before I watch!
Where I come from, people kinda just do what they want...😂👏🏾 let em know Destiny
💯
I have a protective style in now (box braids) and I’m dreading wash day when I take these out 😩 but heyyyy Destiny 😍❤️
GIRL! I've been DYING to find a UA-camr closest to my hairtype and you just made my day 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I will be trying this this weekend!
I loooove your hair natural i always knew it would be pretty ❤️❤️❤️
Been transitioning for 2 and half almost two years I'm not in a rush either
Your hair is transitioning nicely! Your sister had your curls popping!
Your natural hair is so pretty!
Beautiful ending, the beginning was a HOT MESS!! Lol!!!
this is Nikki anderson i been married for nineteen years
I'm transitioning also girl. How long have you been going natural?
Hey, so thank you, thank you, thank you this video was very helpful.... With my 4b/c hair... I was wondering if had any makeup videos as well cause your makeup is amazing
I’ve been natural for two years and I haven’t seen any dandruff but when I was relaxed, you couldn’t see me without seeing my dandruff. Now I don’t know if it the relaxer or not just stating my experience
I'm transitioning too sis...
Good luck boo!!
You look so pretty!! ❤❤❤
I’m trying to transition and I wanna do these braids cause my hair gets tangled easily but how do you guys keep this hairstyle for 3 weeks. Like how do you make it look good when you are going out in public and stuff?
Your hair looks like mine right now! I've not relaxed in about a year and a half I think. I still don't think I'm committed to transitioning, but I'm just kind of along for the ride to see what happens. I can do what I want with my hair without "needing" it to be relaxed, so for now I'm happy. ^.^ I also feel a little more like "me" with curly hair.
Yayyyy new video!
Really enjoyed the video. Keep using the herbal oil and the sulfur 8 products. They also make a medicated version of the sulfur 8 shampoo. So keep doing what your doing girl. Best wishes.
Hey Destiny ok on to the video. Barrrzzz 😂
Great NicE VideO As AlwayS
😍THAT THUMBNAIL THO😍
😗😗Absolutely StunninG😗😗
Makeup AlwayS Stay On PoinT😍
Love your hair
You are almost natural. More on the natural than transitioning hair. Love your hair
I like this video boo😘
I love this video. I felt like I was actually learning because you were sooo real!!
Your transitioning is going easy. Mine is a nightmare 😭 my hair gets tangled and matted so easy and dry. I understand that relaxed ends fall out but my breakage is bad. Idk what to do ! Tips please
Jasmine Sanders big chop will probably be best
Hi! When I first started my hair journey my hair was so dry and breakage was very real for me too(btw I never had a perm but I had really bad heat damage), but I think it’s normal to have quite a bit of breakage starting out on you hair journey. I’m not sure why it happens but I know a lot of people have experienced the same thing. But It does slow down with time once you find out your routine and what works with your hair. But when I’m detangling my hair I warm up my conditioner a bit in the microwave (or you can let it sit in hot water to warm it up) doing this helps loosen up the nots and make the hair slicker and easier for the comb to glade through it . But if don’t warm up my conditioner I use warm water in my spray bottle instead. when I use cold water or cold conditioner (I.E room temperature conditioner) my hair is so much hard to detangle and I use way more product then I normal would use if it was warm. But i hope this help you out a bit. ☺️ good luck on you journey!
My transition was bad in the beginning too.. I found that leave in conditioner worked well for me. Sometimes I would sleep with it n my hair and little by little I would trim off the relaxed ends.. Good luck on ur journey❤❤
Cause you need to chop those ends off before they break. Natural hair is naturally dry so you need an oil or something to keep your moisture. I let the majority of mine break off, when I shouldn’t have. I eventually 2 years after fully transitioning having to cut off 4 or 5 inches 🤷🏾♀️
My breakage was bad too. I just ended up cutting it. It looked too bad
Hi! When was your last relaxer?
first hair tutorial in your new bathroommmmm!!! lol
Are you transitioning to natural hair? If so I’m so shocked because you loved your relaxers Lol
Yep, I'm practically natural now. I've made several videos about it check them out.
Aww euhh
I love her man, she is literally the definition of how UA-camrs have struggles 😂😂😂👏👏, I love it lol I'm here for it girl. One of the realest 😐
Loved it😁
How long have you been transitioning in this particular video? I am 7 months into my transition
So pretty, I love the end results!!!👍🏾💖
Following because girl I ruined my hair with bleach. I chopped most of the damage off (waiting to get the rest trimmed professionally) and if I split me hair in a half do up do, my bottom part curls but the top doesn’t. My roots curl regardless but some areas on my crown won’t curl. SMH lol my hair was 2b and 3b curls. 😅
My mommy was a big fan of adding Sulphur 8 products to my hair; it's really good but never liked the smell...she would have done whopped my ass if I was caught washing my hair in the kitchen sink ...lol... Caribbean parents don't play like that
How many days do you do/did this process of washing hair and the rest..?
I'm starting well I started, with my transitioning since I'm tired of relaxed hair and, basically I'm just weaving my hair a lot and I need a "routine" to do after I remove those braids having in mind that i'm transitioning, can you help me pls?
If I could cornrow I would never have relaxed.I think I am going to long transition, now that I have found a stylist. I never relaxed my hair straight in the past and I think it's way too straight. LOL. Maybe I will learn how to braid, finally .🤔
hey! I have really short damaged relaxed hair and I’m trying to transition to natural. I go to school and we are not allowed to wear any extensions, braids, weaves, etc. There is not much that I can do to my hair. It’s so uneven that the left side is longer than the right. I cant do any simple styles and i dont have enough hair for a big chop. Any tips would be great!❤
Same I’m transitioning now and refuse to big chop bc I work early them days I ain’t feeling it I need to be able to do a pony I’ll cut it eventually when it grows out but until then no thank you
Oooo snappp a hair video in the new houseeeee yes ma'am!!!!!! 💖💖💖💖
Every one gets dandruff once in a wall it’s natural ,,, I have it more in the winter ❄️,, never u head and shoulders that is the wrong thing to do,,,,
I love your hair! I transitioned myself & It worked well for me no cut ends and all! & Also I hope my book that I sent you is a blessing to you! :-)
Does the sulfar 8 have a tingling sensation?
Yes
Why y'all washing your hair in the kitchen sink ? You wash your food and dishes in there?
I can’t believe it’s been four years !!
Ok lil Greg sister. 🗣🗣🗣
Destiny I appreciate how consistent and down to earth your videos are...it makes them so enjoyable to watch
Will sub... Have watched a few videos today.
Sulphur 8 stinks but it’s the only thing that works for me
Whenever you decide to big chop maybe you can have your sister Dominique cut your relaxed hair. She did a great job helping you with your curls on her channel. Just a suggestion. Thanks for sharing.
Have you ever tried to use a square squishy brush to detangle hair?
Gurll ur so cute & ur hair looks so soft 😍
I’ve never thought about using Sulfur 8 products. I have really bad dandruff and a really itchy scalp at times and I couldn’t find anything to help with it but I’m definitely gonna go purchase some Sulfur 8 because I can’t take it anymore 😭
Lol helga from hey Arnold 😂
do you dry your hair with just a towel?
