Thank you for your video! I've seen so few reviews or info about this pen. I have one that should be arriving any day now. I can't wait! I got the plum blossom with warbler design.
You are very welcome. This is one of my favorite pens. I have one in M and F. Both are excellent. I hope you like yours. I look forward to your review!
How am I just picking up that you are ambidextrous??? What what what??? That's amazing! You're handwriting is gorgeous with both hands. My handwriting is bootleg even with my dominant hand.
Thanks for the video. This is an elegant pen. A beautiful breakaway from the standard package (wide shouldered nib, screw-on cap) that dominates pens above a certain price point.
Great review! I have an older version of this pen, the Bush Warbler, with a solid black cap, but with the 18k nib and the lovely maki-e on the barrel. Got it on close out sale Winter '20-'21 from Pen Chalet, who warned me about no converter. I, too, have found it to be a wonderful writing pen, usually inked for correspondence. "Bouncy" nib, feedback, line variation -- it delivers the goods! I have no problem with slim or girthy pens, so it suits me just fine. Now, wouldn't you think that a nice cardboard box that contained a converter would be a smart marketing move for Platinum?
Thanks so much for your thoughtful and informational reviews! After having it for a year, how is the artwork holding up? I saw another reviewer showing some of the gold was flaking off on his fingers.
Hi, Judy. Thank you for watching. I haven’t had any issues with flaking. The only issue was some minor corrosion at the end of the section. I was able to polish it away. I now use milder ink in it. I also bought one in F and no issues with that as well.
@@drawinsscribblins5326 I'm almost wondering if you received a legit one for that price. I've never seen a Maki-e pen for less than $250, unless on sale, especially for a premium brand like Platinum. Seriously though, if you did get a legit Platinum Maki-e pen for sub $200, you got an incredible deal even without the converter.
@@infin1ty850 It came from Goldspot. I probably had some coupons. Hopefully it’s legit. It’s holding up well. I’ve had it for a while now. You are right…I’ll stop complaining about the converter although their Q&A said yes it comes with a converter. See…you are going to get me started again 😃
@@drawinsscribblins5326 Hey, I wasn't trying to say you shouldn't complain! I think it's messed up that they basically told you to punch sand instead rectifying the issue. I would completely stop ordering from a company with bad customer service unless they had a product I couldn't purchase somewhere else.
Hi, Frank. We get a little crazy with our passions. I’m a watch nerd as well but I’ve never weighed one. Don’t get me started 😀Thank you for watching!!

Wendi Sue!! I’ve taught myself as a child to write with both. You have beautiful handwriting.
Thanks for your beautiful video really appreciate it

I’ll have to try Pen Chalet. I searched for your pen…beautiful. Don’t get me started on another converter rant 😊 Thank you for watching!!

How much did you pay without the converter? The one on Goulet with the converter is going for $304 at the moment.
Hi. I only paid $196. I hadn’t checked the prices on the lately. Wow…$304

@@infin1ty850 Yep. I haven’t bought anything from them since. I’ve been tempted b/c they have one of the best selections of pens.
Nice job! My wife teases me because I weigh my watches..
