Update. I have messed with this ver, and it works, in fact it is probably one of the most stable builds for the pi 5 at the moment.
I hope to see more great progress in the future.
This has been discussed on our Forums, and as per the post , if its the boot issue you were having then this has been fixed.
From a quick glance, it was any 4k displays that were having an issue, 1080p and < seemed fine

So far, this image seems awesome!! Thanks for that! Might I ask some questions please?
1) Can I replace / add roms (i.e. I'd like to swap the N64 Zelda Ocarina of time with the European / multi-language en-fr-de version), and if so, where can I find them ?
2) Where are the saves found on the image? Can I move them to an NFS / NAS share instead?
3) How can I login to it? I managed to setup its IP / wifi connection, but what's the user/pwd? I would of though default user should be "pi" and the password should be "raspberry"... but that didn't work when I tried connecting to it through SSH....
4) I've yet to make my bluetooth PS2 controllers work without them being wired. They did work "out of the box" when I had tried a simple recalbox image...
5) Lastly, is it normal I'm not seeing any "save state / slots" options when using hotkey + up/down, etc ? We can't save states ? Do we HAVE to use in-game saves ?

Congratulations on the work. Now I need help: what is the password for the pi users of this retropie version? I accessed the desktop, and after a while it went to the rest screen, and to return to the screen it asked for a password, and everything I tried gave an error.
I read somewhere a password used by this team is the password

Downloaded and no settings save on restart. All game control settings, favorites, and more just reset back to starting format on every bootup. What gives?? Also how do you shut off the background music.... for good?? Thanks.
I bought a brand new micro SD card and tried a fresh download and install, same problem.
Yup, so this image won't let you save your changes or add favorites. Something is glitched in the settings or locked in. Nothing on the internet, so the image is probably bugged and the first time I have ever seen this problem.
Downloaded this a few days ago. There’s no difference between this and the standard base build supreme team provided.
