Even though I’ve been a Christian most of my life, I realize the trouble I’ve gotten myself into is probably a result of not actively giving God my day and talking with Him more throughout my day. I feel guilty about what I have allowed in my life. However, listening to this sermon, I believe the Holy Spirit impressed upon me that the reason things have happened is precisely because prayer needs to be more active in my life. Oh, it’s there, but it needs to be more. I also felt that God kind of released me from that guilt. I just need to really believe in that and act on it.
Relationships involve two people. When Renee says ,"I believe" that is proof that there is no relationship. The result boils down to one person deciding on an outcome.

Tell that to someone who is in a dire situation and needs god to show up in a big way. I get what your saying but it’s both. Many examples in Bible of god answering prayer and doing things people couldn’t even imagine. Prayer isn’t just us getting closer to him and him never answering prayer. The whole point to pray is trusting god will answer your prayer and with that you get closer to him. What kills peoples faith is when god doesn’t answer prayer in time frame we want and then people can lose hope and worry and anxiety come in. A lot of people need to hear this message.
"we know He can but we wonder 'will He do it for me?' " That's the most relatable part. I know God can but it definitely doesn't feel sometimes like He wants to

I feel bitter towards prayer. I feel like there are things I've been calling out to God for years about while I haven't seen significant changes. I feel bitter over being expected to pray continually while He or may not answer. I've been open and honest about these feelings with Him too. I don't feel guilty about not praying anymore b/c there's been several times I've made effort to sit with Him and didn't experience His presence or any insights whatsoever. I know what scripture says about praying always, but I've grown fatigued with it b/c things feel one-sided between us and I have perception that my concerns don't matter to Him. I was open on telling Him that I'll do it when I get around to it. This is the place I've been in.
I don't think Ive ever experienced the presence of God but I have had experience in circumstances. And in insights its always been passages in the Bible that presented themselves in answer so to speak. Rarely have I had an epiphany that just came to my mind. Life is tough and complex 4sure. @@SpaceCadet48-j9t Yes, I've had this dialogue with Him too. I shared that no matter what, it seems like it's, as always our fault. Atleast we can be confident that God can handle our burdens , feelings, etc. regardless of if He responds or not , as He does welcome us to cast our cares on Him.
Amen!!! Talking to Father just like you would if your best friend was with you 24/7.... doesn’t have to be perfect only heart felt, true, and humble. For the Lord knows our hearts and there’s nothing that we can hide. I’m so thankful he’s my Father Abba, my Lord & Savior, my best friend, my therapist, my miracle worker, and everything in between🥰 thank you Daddy!!! Your above all we could possibly imagine. Get baptized in the Holy Ghost and pray in tongues. You will learn to focus then. You have to have a open ❤️ heart. The Holy Ghost will pray with you and for you even if you don’t know what to pray for.

Even longtime followers of the faith will sometime slip in the God is genie model when prayers go unanswered for days, weeks, months, or decades. Trying to keep anger with God out of mind is difficult when challenges are not seasonal but lifelong. Life is temporary so there is some comfort in that. I know when I die that God and I won't have the same conversations anymore and He will be unable to hurt me anymore with His silence.

~19:00: I think many of us struggle with maintaining consistent with prayer because no matter how long, or how deep the heartfelt prayer is, most often than not, it doesn’t quite change things.
We have to trust in God's plan in our lives, He is faithful and never changes. Sometimes we have to be patient! Sometimes the things we pray for are not in His will. We serve a wonderful God who's thoughts are higher than ours. He always has your best interest at heart. This has been my struggle lately. I've been feeling wearied of prayer and yesterday got angry and told God that I wasn't going to keep asking Hom for the same things anymore. I apologized, but decided that I'll approach it differently as far as not praying about the same things all the time andbjist focusing on praise and praying for others.

I’ve been talking to God about the same thing for four years. I’m always worried God is tired of hearing about it. But my heart has never stopped hurting over it, so I keep talking to Him about it, because I don’t know what else to do.
God is never tired hearing about it. He loves you so much! It's people who get tired not Him. You mentioned your heart has never stopped hurting over it. Maybe forgiving the person or yourself would help set you free! When we follow the Biblical Principle Matthew 5:44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, A simple prayer of forgiveness, "In Jesus name, I forgive xxxx for xxxxxx(enter hurt) and Lord I forgive them and ask that you bless them." That prayer allows the Lord to be able to move and heal your hurt because you followed his word, forgiving and blessing those that hurt you! I hope that helped! God Bless you! Thanks for this. I do not pray to God because I've realised that in life we don't really know what would be best for us and I trust Him to know this for me - and he does: I now have total fulfilment and contentment in my life and I do not suffer from any fears, anxieties or depression. I have a spiritual guide who 'tells' me what to do each day (normally by some sort of unlikely coincidence or my intuition, and this post is part of today's guidance). We all must deeply understand why Jesus cursed the fig tree and we should all follow the Guidelines of Problacism. If I did pray, however, my prayer would be St Ignatius's prayer: Teach us, good Lord, to serve you as you deserve, to give and not to count the cost, to fight and not to heed the wounds, to toil and not to seek for rest, to labour and not to ask for any reward, save that of knowing that we do your will. Amen.
At the same rime that it seems so pointless to pray, I still feel strongly that if we all got together and got serious about prayer, and did what it says in CHRONICLES 7:14 (can't remember if it's 1 or2, ) we might be able to make a difference.
I went to catholic school where I was verbally abused for the entire 12 years I was there. I can't go back to church as it just brings it all back. Is it ok not to go to church on Sunday but make sunday morning a morning of honoring God at home
I could really use help with this. I'm up again a very hard battle and I do not have the tools to be formidable in this fight. Can I ask for help? I feel when I pray I'm making words sound nicer, so I just talk to him, I could be driving down the road, look up to the sky and say thank you! on long drives I talk to God, it makes the distance seems smaller, is that the same thing?
I feel like I've never been heard even from the beginning. I have felt Unnoticed and abandoned and prayers seem to never reach God in the situations I have been involved in. I want to get away far away. I Don't ever want to go through these feelings again. I see why now Jesus died for me so that I can be saved. But I'll never amount to the holiness that he had in this imperfect, evil and controversial world.

We are to pray believing God does answer, yes prayer is about a relationship but it’s also about Him answering us
Tell that to someone who is in a dire situation and needs god to show up in a big way. I get what your saying but it’s both. Many examples in Bible of god answering prayer and doing things people couldn’t even imagine. Prayer isn’t just us getting closer to him and him never answering prayer. The whole point to pray is trusting god will answer your prayer and with that you get closer to him. What kills peoples faith is when god doesn’t answer prayer in time frame we want and then people can lose hope and worry and anxiety come in. A lot of people need to hear this message.

I feel bitter towards prayer. I feel like there are things I've been calling out to God for years about while I haven't seen significant changes. I feel bitter over being expected to pray continually while He or may not answer. I've been open and honest about these feelings with Him too. I don't feel guilty about not praying anymore b/c there's been several times I've made effort to sit with Him and didn't experience His presence or any insights whatsoever. I know what scripture says about praying always, but I've grown fatigued with it b/c things feel one-sided between us and I have perception that my concerns don't matter to Him. I was open on telling Him that I'll do it when I get around to it. This is the place I've been in.
I don't think Ive ever experienced the presence of God but I have had experience in circumstances. And in insights its always been passages in the Bible that presented themselves in answer so to speak. Rarely have I had an epiphany that just came to my mind. Life is tough and complex 4sure. Peace of Christ to you..
And the problem is always with us and not with him. We can be sure of that.
@@SpaceCadet48-j9t Yes, I've had this dialogue with Him too. I shared that no matter what, it seems like it's, as always our fault. Atleast we can be confident that God can handle our burdens , feelings, etc. regardless of if He responds or not , as He does welcome us to cast our cares on Him.
When we find ourselves in these cycles there is a lesson to be learned. What is troubling you in life and maybe I can help you if you’d like.

For the Lord knows our hearts and there’s nothing that we can hide. Even longtime followers of the faith will sometime slip in the God is genie model when prayers go unanswered for days, weeks, months, or decades. Trying to keep anger with God out of mind is difficult when challenges are not seasonal but lifelong. Life is temporary so there is some comfort in that. I know when I die that God and I won't have the same conversations anymore and He will be unable to hurt me anymore with His silence.

Talk to God like you’ve just talked on this post. Nothing flowery. “Help me, God, I want to pray throughout my day!” is a prayer.
~19:00: I think many of us struggle with maintaining consistent with prayer because no matter how long, or how deep the heartfelt prayer is, most often than not, it doesn’t quite change things.
We have to trust in God's plan in our lives, He is faithful and never changes. Sometimes we have to be patient! Sometimes the things we pray for are not in His will. We serve a wonderful God who's thoughts are higher than ours. He always has your best interest at heart.
Jeremiah 29:12-13; "Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

This has been my struggle lately. I've been feeling wearied of prayer and yesterday got angry and told God that I wasn't going to keep asking Hom for the same things anymore. I’ve been talking to God about the same thing for four years. I’m always worried God is tired of hearing about it. But my heart has never stopped hurting over it, so I keep talking to Him about it, because I don’t know what else to do.
God is never tired hearing about it. He loves you so much! It's people who get tired not Him. You mentioned your heart has never stopped hurting over it. Maybe forgiving the person or yourself would help set you free! When we follow the Biblical Principle
Matthew 5:44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
A simple prayer of forgiveness, "In Jesus name, I forgive xxxx for xxxxxx(enter hurt) and Lord I forgive them and ask that you bless them."
That prayer allows the Lord to be able to move and heal your hurt because you followed his word, forgiving and blessing those that hurt you! I hope that helped!

Thanks for this. I do not pray to God because I've realised that in life we don't really know what would be best for us and I trust Him to know this for me - and he does: I now have total fulfilment and contentment in my life and I do not suffer from any fears, anxieties or depression. I have a spiritual guide who 'tells' me what to do each day (normally by some sort of unlikely coincidence or my intuition, and this post is part of today's guidance). We all must deeply understand why Jesus cursed the fig tree and we should all follow the Guidelines of Problacism. If I did pray, however, my prayer would be St Ignatius's prayer: Teach us, good Lord, to serve you as you deserve, to give and not to count the cost, to fight and not to heed the wounds, to toil and not to seek for rest, to labour and not to ask for any reward, save that of knowing that we do your will. Amen.

At the same rime that it seems so pointless to pray, I still feel strongly that if we all got together and got serious about prayer, and did what it says in CHRONICLES 7:14 (can't remember if it's 1 or2, ) we might be able to make a difference.

I went to catholic school where I was verbally abused for the entire 12 years I was there. I can't go back to church as it just brings it all back. Is it ok not to go to church on Sunday but make sunday morning a morning of honoring God at home

I feel like I've never been heard even from the beginning. I have felt Unnoticed and abandoned and prayers seem to never reach God in the situations I have been involved in. I want to get away far away. I Don't ever want to go through these feelings again. I see why now Jesus died for me so that I can be saved. But I'll never amount to the holiness that he had in this imperfect, evil and controversial world.

He is always there with you he'll listen to you if you pray for pray and ask him the question cause he says in The Bible ask you for what you need if you don't ask and say oh well you think that you're just a child of God and you don't want nothing he will not give you anything so you need to ask him even this you need to ask an evenings for some extra money to pay your bills or teach you how to pay your bills he will give it to you
