I put some weighted front wheels on mine and it climbs like a goat now. It didn't need much. Other than I was using a 2200mah lipo upfront as well. Such a capable truck for being so tall. I was shocked. It's now my favorite trail and crawler.
I've been crawling this truck all over the Iowa snow and ice. Everything is stock, and it crawls like a beast. The locking differentials help as well. In time I'll make upgrades. The first is cosmetic by cutting out the drivers side window so I can stick in a miniature Cliff Burton. Great video.
Same. I was suprized at how well it handled obstacles. The higher clearance helps a lot, and I think the longer wheelbase helps more in keeping it planted.
If you make some adjustments on the spring rate you can lower the center of gravity but still have insane droop. There is a video a while back of someone doing that and it was unreal how it crawled.
Fun as always! The lifted Cheyenne reminds me so much of the trucks of my youth, the early days of "monster trucks." Makes me feel a little nostalgic. Pretty impressive btw. Capable truck, talented driver. Thanks for bringing us along.
Yea its a similar proportion to the toyota bruiser from tamiya back in the late 80's , that had 3 switchable gears from the tranny & was so expensive for the day , when i asked for 1 , - quote "it costs more than the car on our driveway" haha
Great video Francis and what an awesome spot to crawl around in. 7 more days until mine arrives at the local hobby shop. Im pleased to know it's so capable out of the box, im going to change out the steering servo and run it as is with perhaps a tire swap later on down the road. Thanks again for the running footage, it was enjoyable for sure.
I bought the 79 F150 in black. What a great looking little rig. Traxxas really got this series of trucks right, super capable, and highly detailed looking. Ford, or Chevy, you can't do wrong by buying one.
What an amazing place to crawl, I m in Northern California as well, im in the Sierra mountains tho, TAHOE to be exact, but i love that area especially by the ocean. Where is this by?
Great video, thank you. You very quickly answered the question about whether or not the Chevy body will fit on the Bronco, but you did not say why it won't fit. Could you explain why it won't fit?
Great content, I really appreciate your reviews. If you could do a comparison to your lifted bronco it would be appreciated. I'm trying to decide if I should lift my k5 blazer and add bigger tires or by new truck. Or maybe just put your thoughts here.
What bodies are changeable? I have the TRX Ford F150 high trail. I like the earlier edition body styles and wouldn’t mind having another one to put on my chassis. Thanks
Great product reviews and solid recommendations! Based on your I got into a still waiting for delivery TRX4 K10, SHV800 servo, and Quicrun Fusion Pro 2300, and some minimal front weights to being wwithout going crazy. But I have a question, I'm also wanting to get into buggy racing and was thinking of an overall transmitter upgrade, with the ease to program for the TRX4 locking diff. Are the OEM Traxxas Transmitters good enough? Futaba, Samwa, SPectrum, Flysky?? Thanks!!!
Traxxas transmitters garbage for anything other bashing or crawling. Ideally, for racing you'd want a Futaba 7PX or a Sanwa M17. You could start out with a Futaba 4PM. It's an excellent mid range radio.
idk anything about rc, im just watching yt.. is the bronco the same chassis as the k10? the drivetrain etc? if so, what mods are done to have better control to crawl like that?
Thank you, yes gotta appreciate it more what we have here. It's an hour away from the Bay Area but the views are fantastic and the temps are always 30 degrees cooler with that ocean breeze.
Hi. Would you reccomend Absima Crawler Sherpa CR3.4 4WD RTR? I am new to crawlers, did some research and i am wandering if Absima Sherpa is nearly as good as Traxxas TRX4 and Axial Capra 1.9 or Axial SCX10? Thanks in advance.
My one gripe here is if they made the effort to design bigger tires they should have removed the little 'highway' knobs that 90% of TRX owners cut off anyway.
The most obvious difference Class 1 uses tires that are 4.2 inches max in diameter. Class 2 can use up to 4.8 inch tires. More rules are here: ua-cam.com/video/oIG7w9ZVf9I/v-deo.html

After trying one out I was impressed with how capable it was for being lifted. Definitely better then expected.
It's lifted with so much clearance so it's impressive that it can crawl like one of the crew.

Thanks for the most beautiful crawling video ever ! That truck is so cool !
Glad you enjoyed it. We were just out there playing too.

You got the coolest spots 😎 🙏
I am glad you found a beautiful spot and COOL time to run. The "High Trail" was impressive.
Yeah, were just happy to cool off but managed to have one of the best crawling days ever.
Big tires Big clearence = Big fun!
And somehow, it doesn't flip over that much
Protek 3s 4800mah 130c fits perfect in the front battery tray on the trx4
thats such a nice crawling spot like a mini moab
Yeah, this area is so massive that we only use 1/10 of the area usually.
Trx4's are the most capable out of the box crawlers on the market. Replace the weak servo and you can crawl for months before you'll damage anything
I took my trx4 high trail box Chevy out to an RC park last week to finally do some crawling and I was surprised just how well it did, bone stock too.
Good video, location looks beautiful. Like button selected.
Thanks for liking. The location is always foggy and cold but perfect on days like this.
What an amazing place to crawl, I m in Northern California as well, im in the Sierra mountains tho, TAHOE to be exact, but i love that area especially by the ocean. Where is this by?
Looks so much fun guys! 😊👍🏼
It was all work!
Great video, thank you.
You very quickly answered the question about whether or not the Chevy body will fit on the Bronco, but you did not say why it won't fit. Could you explain why it won't fit?
Great video, thanks
Right on. We were just there to play so happy that some of our footage is worthy enough to share .
Cool video, great location. Awesome review. Oh the k-10 high trail is a short wheelbase truck, not K-5 blazer
Thanks for the info
Would like to see the K10 running the 1.9" setup, I am curious about being able to tuck the Tires into the fender wells!
Yeah you probably could. You'd have to lower the suspension and put smaller tyres on it.
@@SnarkyRC I bought the Ford F-150 Ranger XLT and took the lift off last night, and its awesome!!!
You should make a “Fall Guy” replica with that truck
Absolutely
Sadly Ted, most people won't even understand that reference, lol!
Would be nice. Fall guy truck was a GMC
Nice truck I want one I'm just not sure what color I want I love the lift kit the big tires It's awesome🖤👍
Surprisingly, it's a well-balanced rig.
Great video, its not a blazer , it's a short wheel base truck 😉
Thanks for the info
Might have to buy it for a little testing 🤔
The Bronco body is fairly heavy, like the Defender 110 body. That K10 is a locomotive with a cab on it.
13.23" w.b. vs 12.8" vs the class one at ? Possibly a 12.3" w.b. ?
What wheels are those on the orange trx4? They are fire!!
Now we just need a hard body with a longer wheelbase for the High Trail.
Awesome video what’s the name of the beach
Take her out of the box, throw some Krawlers on there and Bob's your Uncle! 😉👍
Yeppppp!

Many thanks! It's a drive but certainly worth it.

Great video, so jealous of places you have to crawl. Lower mich has nothing

I am thinking I may need a new Traxxas but have to decide on Cheyenne 4x4 or Flatbed 6x6 🤔
We had the same dilemma and decided on the Cheyenne. Right choice for us since it is a refreshing performer.
@@RCReviewChannel LOL, been thinking the same way and I am limited in parking space.
I couldn't help it, I got both
you keep saying blazer, are you referring to the K10 truck when you say blazer?
I swapped the 2021 bronco body onto mine just by swapping the inner fenders
nice bro, what are the Toyota bodys ?
The Low CG vehicle has an RC4WD Toyota Mojave body. The Overland vehicle is a modified Element RC Trailrunner.
@@RCReviewChannel oh ok cool thanks love you're videos keep them coming and would love to see more crawler videos thanks man

Check out the Cross RC EMO AT4 also. It's a beast.
Sweeeet vid big like 👍
I’m about to buy my first rc , which one you think bronco or the k10 ?
I would say the Bronco. More options for scale and performance.
what blazer
My one gripe here is if they made the effort to design bigger tires they should have removed the little 'highway' knobs that 90% of TRX owners cut off anyway.
OMG, that is a great idea!!! We don't have a good 2.2 tire upgrade laying around so cutting these tires will be a good match for upcoming mods.
Can someone explain classes?
The most obvious difference Class 1 uses tires that are 4.2 inches max in diameter. Class 2 can use up to 4.8 inch tires. More rules are here: ua-cam.com/video/oIG7w9ZVf9I/v-deo.html
Hello
Sup!
No no it cannot
Hi! I'm thinking to buy a TRX4. But I don't know wich one. Normal, or high trail. Wich one you recommend for artificial trails?
