you're not getting the point, Brooke was tired of fighting with Peyton, they both were hurting over the same guy why fight with each other when you both can help each other out. it's not like Brooke was like let me forgive Peyton to make her feel better, it was more like lets hurt over this boy together. Also, forgiveness isn't for the other person to feel better, it's about making you feel better, in order for you to move on you need to let go of all the anger and bitterness. There is no doubt that Brooke was the bigger person here, but this wasn't about Brooke making Peyton feel better.
