Hi, I’m the person who wrote the reddit post - never expected it to be analyzed in a youtube video! Very cool to hear an expert’s thoughts on it. Getting into rated PVP was challenging, but I’m fully hooked now. Probably have to stop claiming to be “casual” now given how many hours I put into this climb :) Btw I’m Flinzul on Earthen Ring if anyone reading this is interested in queuing for 2s or blitz sometime.
I couldn’t play just one class. A few weeks ago I finished the elite set and got all 13 classes to 1800. I have several around 2100 and I’ll push a couple as far as I can get. You absolutely learn how to beat other classes by playing them
And then theres dumb people like me... Oh I'm too high on my warrior? Games are getting too stressful and queues are taking too long? Time to climb on one of my other warriors lol
@@rpgking92 I don’t enchant and rely mostly on conquest gear to 1800. I’ll kit out a few toons to take farther. They give you the free crafting materials as well
I only want to highlight that this person noted often that they wished a feature was explained IN GAME. That’s the largest barrier to pvp. It’s insane that blizz doesn’t have a site page dedicated to explaining gearing gemming and enchanting. It’s all 3rd party. Which was fine 15 years ago 🤷🏽♂️
I want to be hopeful too - but no, the game is broken and Blizzard needs to fix it. Not these balance changes. A complete rework of the MMR/Rating system is required!
I been playing all healers lately:mw monk, pres evoker (my favorite) resto druid, and priest and ine thing i can say is that they are pretty fun. I mean a major thing is your Q time is instant and even finding partners for 2s which i love doing is very easy. Im enjoying it
He never mention being flamed by toxic dps and he goes from never doing pvp to over 50% win rate straight to 1800-1900 not just on one but ALL healers. If MMR was inflated like it was in dragonflight he would be 2100+ on all healers. If what he is saying is true then he is an outlier. What he should’ve screenshot was his pvp-check showing this is his first ever season and his rank is rival and guarantee to be at least duelist by the end of the season, during the most deflated MMR season of all time.
I did mention that I played over a hundred blitz games before I jumped into shuffle. I was fully clueless when I started blitz though. By the time I started shuffle (after hitting 1800 in blitz), I was in full conquest/crafted gear and had a good grasp of the pvp basics. Flinzul (Earthen Ring) is my monk btw.
Luckily I didn’t see much toxicity (a couple angry whispers and - few /spit emotes directed at me, but it was rare). I have the impression that it must get worse at higher ranks.
This guy was using help harm macros? Thats a total red flag and theres no way a normal 1st time pvper uses that. This seems like someone looking for attention.
As a new rated pvp player I did a few matches of solo shuffle and got put into a lobby with people who have way more experience and higher MMR than me. Which then moved onto them flaming and telling me to leave haha.😅

You can farm bloody tokens by doing world quests in war mode to buy your first set of gear which scales up to 636 in pvp. You can use honor to buy weapons, trinkets and jewelry. Once you start doing rated, you will get conquest which you can use to buy 639 gear. After earning 2500 conquest you’ll get 2 free 639 weapon tokens, so don’t spend your conquest on weapons. You can also order crafted gear using forged gladiator heraldries which will scale up to 639.

Fixing PvP Game Balance and Playability Q Times & Healers: Remove healers from solo queue and switch to 2v2 with gradually decreasing automatic healing (e.g., from 600k HPS to 200k). This keeps solo viable while offering variety in team configurations... 6 rounds playing in three team configurations..so 3x2. Healers will be able to queue with the changes listed below. DPS Changes: DPS should handle 50% of their own healing, like tanks in dungeons. Add utility, such as more frequent dispels and survival-focused spells. Gameplay should reward strategy over button spamming. Healer Adjustments: Healing is stressful and unrewarding. DPS should share the healing responsibility (50/50 split). Healers should contribute to damage and buffs (e.g., Disc Priests, Fistweavers), with reworks to make them tanky and more damage-focused. Tank Role: Tanks should be damage classes, empowering their team without being obnoxious. Implement a stagger system where tanks take minimal damage until their shields break, then become prime targets. Those shields go down after they burst, causing them to be vulnerable for a certain amount of time as well. Game Feel: Simplify gameplay by reducing button complexity and speed. Slow down the pace to focus on strategy, not just fast reactions. This would make the game more enjoyable, especially for new and older players that can't react as fast anymore. Here is the real fix: New Class System to ensure all roles feel rewarding and trash the current 3-role system. Any of the roles can enter solo shuffle as they all bring something to the table to ensure they win. Damage: High damage, low healing, high utility, low survival (high skill floor). Flex: High damage, mid healing, mid utility, mid survival (mid skill floor). Support: Mid damage, high healing, low utility, high survival (low skill floor). Tank: Mid damage, low healing, high utility, high survival (mid skill floor). Sentinel: High damage, high healing, low utility, low survival (high skill floor). Blizzard needs a major overhaul to improve balance and playability. If they are not willing to boil the ocean, this business will die out.
@@Rynopb this is a lot of words to say you think they should remove roles. If a dps is responsible for 50% of their healing and a healer is responsible for 50% of the damage you just made healers and dps the same. Which maybe is better but it's a risk to break the fundamental roles.
