Look up painless360...Love flightest but I reckon Painless is better for multi info also surrpised how late this came out...naze 32 is old news these days...lot of racers moveing over the F3 Boards or the new CC3D revo...so many out latley even KISS have a FC now. Flightest always seems a bit behind the times with multis.
+CyclingSalmon14 I agree but there is a lot more online forum support for tech half a step behind than on the bleeding edge. I think that's the demographic.
+DJ BIS Chonny on UA-cam does a good job too. Flite Test is great for getting folks introduced to the hobby, and there's other channels that do a great job of taking you into the more advanced levels of the hobby.
When I first got into the hobby. Which was less than 1 year ago. The Naze32 was my first flight controller I purchased. While it was in shipping, I hooked up with local flyers, did a lot of research. When the FC arrived, I realized it was a knockoff, got a full refund. The F-7 was newest on the block, so I went that route, never looked back. Thank you Matek! Thanks to all the BF devs. Thanks Flight test!!! Last but NOT least... JB for all the in depth review/tutorials.

I have a Naze6 and I'm loving it. Native S-BUS support without a signal inverter made for a really clean first build! Ninjedit: Is that PPM josh?? In 2016?! Come on, man! Look at all that extra cable length! Go with X4r-SB + S-BUS!! Less input lag, cleaner/lighter cable management, S-BUS sounds cool...
+kj erts Haha very true. I'm lucky in that with my first quad (which I built barely over a month ago) the ESC's I chose came with active braking! I mix up all the different features like oneshot, dampedlight, but I have them all on, so I don't know exactly how lucky I am to have it! RG20's are awesome!

hi josh and all telemetry users! there is a major trap about this: if you connect 4 escs with bec with the voltage cable and then the battery on the voltage port, the board will die within minutes. the manual recommends to remove 3 bec leads otherwise you just brick the board.

QUICK TIP FOR MIN THROTTLE : in motor tab use the slider to see what the the minimum input is, ( must have battery plugged in and motor tab engaged ) and set your min throttle 5-10 points higher than that value. insures lowest throttle , and no jumpyness when engaging ;)
Make sure to check if your board works before soldering the pins, if you already soldered the pins onto the board and it turns out there's something wrong it may be more difficult to return it.
If possible do a teaching flying video for beginners like how to turn, how to do easy flips and simple maneuvers. Having a small screen showing below to show how you guys control the controller would be great. Thanks!
Great video. I have built a couple of quads now using the naze board and it can be tricky still. I will be waiting for the tuning video. So cool that Skitzo is helping out. We all want to know how he tunes.
Heads up to some viewers that are looking at this but not restricted to the versa copter build: putting the header on the bottom like that obstructs access to sonar and debug pads.
By the way, with the GR-12L you can turn on SUMD and hook it up as a serial RX and only use one lead into the RX on channel 6. But it needs to be signal wire on pin #4 I think.
This year I think I'll get back into RC. I tried building a quad copter a year ago, but it failed miserably because I bought some ESC's, and motors that were the worst quality, and fried 2 kk2 boards, and an ardupilot. When I do, I'll probably get one of these. and one of the tried and tested kits. .
I did the same thing of buying the cheapest components for my first quad, and it really doesn't work. More recently I did a racing quad build with much better components and it worked first time (apart from a cc3d board that I fried, but that was my own fault). The key is to look at reviews online and get quality stuff, especially with ESCs, as they have a huge impact on the stability of your quad.
please help, following your tutorial, got to the receiver part and it isn't working right. using fs-t6 and I can only get response from auxiliary 1 to 4. looking online for help and now I'm lost. there wasn't a choice for a flysky in the receiver menu
There's one important thing to note if you're using a pololu or similar voltage regulator to power the Naze32 rev6: The rev6 doesn't have a diode on the power input. If you plug the USB cable in it will power the ESCs through the voltage regulator and you can't calibrate your ESCs through cleanflight. Because of this you shouldn't use the rev6 if you don't have ESCs with built in BECs. One other thing I would have liked to see in the video is how to connect your Graupner receivers to the Naze32 using SUMD. It's very easy and you only need one cable.
Josh, thanks for doing this video. However, you really should use a fine tip soldering iron when you solder in those headers. It would look much more professional as you were doing it. It would also avoid solder bridges much better.

Hi there, i cant activate the arm ( arm will not turn into green ) but the switch was moving , thats why the motor will not spin. The angle mode and horizon was already activate when i flip the switch. Please help. Thanks.
Im running six of the naze rev6 boards with sbus and in the last two weeks three have lost motor out puts at random. Two or three solid flights then one or more out puts quits. Try the esc and motor on a working board and alls fine. Running little bee 20s and various 2204s. Ideas? Once motor output dies thats it. It never works again. Reflash, recalibrate the whole nine.

+FliteTest It doesn't have to be detailed but just a simple guide for people who have no clue how PIDs work and just want their quad to auto-level without crashing itself. I would literally pay you to make a video about tuning PIDs as I need it for a racing quadcopter class I'm teaching.
When 8 was building mine I found that motor 1 started at pin 3 and went up to pin 6. Spent. A night fretting thinking I had broken an escape till I looked at the individual motors in clean flight and found that the motors that were powering up were not the ones I was expecting. This is a problem in the firmware 1.12

Hello, I followed the video while setting up a Naze32 rev6 on an F330 frame (CF 1.11.0) . First few flights were impressive with little or no tuning. Later flights however were, for lack of words, disastrous. The quad wobbles uncontrollable and eventually breaks props while flipping over. This happens only in angle mode. I've read about reducing P for angle strength to 20 from 90. This did not resolve the issue. Can you offer any other advice, please?

i did everything you said in your video but i cant get my drone to fly . everything seems to work fine when i spool the motors throught cleanflight but when i use the transmitter all the motors go crazy. and if i try to make it fly it starts wabbleling. please help i have been trying to figure it out for one year already
Hey, I'm good on every step but when I try to control the motors with my receiver, it just doesn't work. The receiver is bound, when I go to test the receiver, cleanflight says I'm getting a signal, and when I test the motors with cleanflight, they all spin fine, but when I try to use the sticks, the motors do nothing. Also, besides when I plug the battery in and connect to the transmitter, I don't get any beeping.
I'm having a huge problem with cleanflight and my vortex 250 pro. The cp210x usb to uart download is not working with windows 10. I have tried re-downloading it a ton of times, but it does not work, nor show up in my device manager. This is starting to annoy me as I cannot fly my 250 pro until I have an arm switch. Any tips?
I'm building my first quad and I'm having a lot of trouble connecting the receiver to the controller. I'm using the FS-i6X from Flysky and every time I try to bind the receiver just shuts off on its own and stops flashing. Help plsss

Starting at 6:11, the receiver is being connected. My question is how do I know which plugs from the board goes into which channel in the receiver? Do I consult the manual of my receiver, or does it not matter since the channels will be mapped later in Cleanflight? I fly Futaba. Thanks!
Hey Anyone. I need some help. Got my board and everything hooked up and flashed. But when i try and look at inputs for rx they all just stay at 1500 and throttle at 850, even if im moving my controls on my dx9. I changed rx setting to serial and did the port 2 thing. I know my rx works and i hooked it up according to this video. I am stumped... Please help.

When i'm doing the esc calibration, after i disconnect battery and take the master to 100% and reconnect the battery, instead of beeping, all my motors speed to 100%. I don't know what to do. I'm doing this exact procedure. Can somebody help me?
I have an Spektrum 4649T receiver and after hooking everything up, just like in the video, and flashing my naze32 rev6, sometimes I get readings of CPU load over 1100%. This I have solved a couple of times by installing older versions in CleanFlight. But I still get the problem that after binding the receiver and firing everything up in CleanFlight, the program does not respond to my Spektrum dx6. Can anyone think of something on how to solve this?
Can i use FS-CT6B for naze32 rev5 A friend told me that it won’t work for CT6B. I am already having issues connecting transmitter and receiver to board. Though all wiring is correct

I have a naze32 rev5 version fc board, Using it for building a QUAD X design, the problem i am facing with it is, when i throttle up, all ,motors spool up, but eventually slow down at different rates, except that of the 2nd motor. This happens throughout the throttling range. I even tried the same esc and the motors with QQ flight controller board, it works very well, but its the naze32 with which i am facing the problem, Have been searching answers everywhere contacting everyone, regarding the same, for last 2 years but still haven't satisfying answers. Even I've seen many people are facing this issue, i tried the solutions prescribed for them but, like calibrating the esc's again individually, or through the flight controller, etc, i tried everything , So anyone's help would be appreciated regarding the same.
i have the rev 6 naze 32. and i have got the devo rx701 reciever but i dont seem to have power to the reciever the red binding light wont come on? any ideas? cheers

you can tape the 1x10 pin down, so they dont move around, same with the 3x6 pins, put some plugs in so the spacing is good.

is possible to change motor dicretion, cause esc rail no 1 in my naze32 was not have any signal, can we use 2,3,4,5 for x multi motor? please help me, I am using naze32 rev 6 10 dot.

I followed the video while setting up a Naze32 rev6 on an F330 frame (CF 1.11.0) . First few flights were impressive with little or no tuning.
Later flights however were, for lack of words, disastrous.
The quad wobbles uncontrollable and eventually breaks props while flipping over. This happens only in angle mode.
I've read about reducing P for angle strength to 20 from 90. This did not resolve the issue.
Can you offer any other advice, please?

i did everything you said in your video but i cant get my drone to fly . everything seems to work fine when i spool the motors throught cleanflight but when i use the transmitter all the motors go crazy. and if i try to make it fly it starts wabbleling. please help i have been trying to figure it out for one year already
Hey, I'm good on every step but when I try to control the motors with my receiver, it just doesn't work. The receiver is bound, when I go to test the receiver, cleanflight says I'm getting a signal, and when I test the motors with cleanflight, they all spin fine, but when I try to use the sticks, the motors do nothing. Also, besides when I plug the battery in and connect to the transmitter, I don't get any beeping.
I'm having a huge problem with cleanflight and my vortex 250 pro. The cp210x usb to uart download is not working with windows 10. I have tried re-downloading it a ton of times, but it does not work, nor show up in my device manager. This is starting to annoy me as I cannot fly my 250 pro until I have an arm switch. Any tips?
I'm building my first quad and I'm having a lot of trouble connecting the receiver to the controller. I'm using the FS-i6X from Flysky and every time I try to bind the receiver just shuts off on its own and stops flashing. Help plsss

I am working with Naze32 board and Flysky i6 transmitter. The values of throttle , yaw .... are being correctly shown on the reciever tab of Betaflight and the motors are also working via the motor tab but I am not able to control the motors via the Transmitter 😭😭... hi followed your video? I'm getting a red and green flashing lights on my fc it flashes but will not connect ? have I done something wrong!!
When flashing is done my rev6 blinks red and green in a fast pace, any idea why? can´t connect to cleanflight after flashing.
Starting at 6:11, the receiver is being connected. My question is how do I know which plugs from the board goes into which channel in the receiver? Do I consult the manual of my receiver, or does it not matter since the channels will be mapped later in Cleanflight? I fly Futaba. Thanks!
Hey Anyone. I need some help. Got my board and everything hooked up and flashed. But when i try and look at inputs for rx they all just stay at 1500 and throttle at 850, even if im moving my controls on my dx9. I changed rx setting to serial and did the port 2 thing. I know my rx works and i hooked it up according to this video. I am stumped... Please help.

When i'm doing the esc calibration, after i disconnect battery and take the master to 100% and reconnect the battery, instead of beeping, all my motors speed to 100%. I don't know what to do. I'm doing this exact procedure. Can somebody help me?
I have an Spektrum 4649T receiver and after hooking everything up, just like in the video, and flashing my naze32 rev6, sometimes I get readings of CPU load over 1100%. This I have solved a couple of times by installing older versions in CleanFlight. But I still get the problem that after binding the receiver and firing everything up in CleanFlight, the program does not respond to my Spektrum dx6. Can anyone think of something on how to solve this?

shouldn't the flight controller be exactly in the centre so it knows exactly where the motors are in proportion to itself?

I have a naze32 rev5 version fc board, Using it for building a QUAD X design, the problem i am facing with it is, when i throttle up, all ,motors spool up, but eventually slow down at different rates, except that of the 2nd motor. This happens throughout the throttling range. I even tried the same esc and the motors with QQ flight controller board, it works very well, but its the naze32 with which i am facing the problem, Have been searching answers everywhere contacting everyone, regarding the same, for last 2 years but still haven't satisfying answers. Even I've seen many people are facing this issue, i tried the solutions prescribed for them but, like calibrating the esc's again individually, or through the flight controller, etc, i tried everything , So anyone's help would be appreciated regarding the same.
